Its time to install my new Bakki shower that came from JS Koi to the koi pond. Filling the units with bakki house media like the infrared and alfragrog and connecting all the plumbing for the filter.

Nice update Dan just be careful with the shower putting matting in you don't want it over flowing and losing water or fit a overflow pipe I only use filter floss in my shower and check it daily

Just bought the same Bakki from JS koi myself, nice bit of kit but like you need a bigger pump, im running a 5500lph at the mo but my 20000 lph variflow will be here on wednesday and that will be fitted promptly.
If i hadnt have seen yours i dont think i would have bought one at all, so thanks.

Great job Dan that looking well smart and a shed loads of bio for the pond👍 just be careful having sponge in the top I used to do that but it blocks up quite quickly especially in the summer 👍
Yeah I'll keep an eye on it but with no pre filter I want t9nkeep media clean

If the sponges are too close to the spray bar the top media won't get that wet around the edges as the watet needs space to spray 👍🐟

Mate get yourself a bigger pressure filter I have a 15000lts one and go through first then on too bakki shower it's best way too go clean water to bakki shower

Mate you need drill some more holes in the pipe so it will spray more water

@@Sharpeyskoi I have a easypod to uv then tempest back to pond but bought a 2 tier js koi bakki shower so will have to run it with pump from pond as can’t run it from tempest thanks for idea 👍

I've just got a rubber 90 then flexible hose from the pump

Bought my 2-tier, 1.5 metre wide Bakki Shower from JS Koi almost 3 years ago.

People telling me you shouldn't use sponges in a bakki shower. The bakki shower should be ran from a pressure filter or in my case via a allin one filter with two course sponges. I will share this video with the guy who told me not to because i was going to do what you did in this video.
Tbh mine is working perfectly. Although it does take more cleaning

Cracking job there sharpey bruva personally I would have put the rest of the csm in the top their with the filter floss on top and ditched the foams aa they clog very quickly and alphagrog 💯🧁👍👍👍
Also you need atleast 2 inch gap between the spraybar and the media 🧁👍👍👍
