- Team Trees is a initiative to raise $20 million dollars to plant 20 million trees by the first of January. I then Decided what if I do some tree planting of my own and that was when it hit me... What game do we most closely associate as a forestry tycoon simulator?? OF COURSE PRISON ARCHITECT!! The situation is just perfect. So today we are going to sit down with The Spiffing Brit and watch as he starts Planting 20 MILLION TREES IN PRISON ARCHITECT. Honestly we are taking a prison building simulator and just turning it into a sandbox forestry tycoon instead.
For this video I will be pledging a donation on behalf of you the lovely people who have supported the video. For each like 10 cents will be donated to plant a tree. That reminds me of the story of an Indian man planting thousands of trees each year to stop the erosion of an island which a million or so people live on. Fifteen years after he started the erosion problem was minimized so a bunch of people on the island started chopping the trees down to sell.

What most people dont understand is there are two types of forestry companies and most of them arnt that bad
those who only focus on imensely short term profit hack down a peice of land and sell it
and those who focus on long term profit and sustanability and cut down and replant trees doing essentially nothing bad
its that first short term money grab companies that ruin almost every industry because they are cheap and hard to compete with
Interesting thing about that. Growing a tree and then cutting it down and repeating is a good way to fight CO2 in the atmosphere. They store it in their biomass, and as long as you don't put it back into the air (say by burning it) it stays there. Its sort of interesting. The oil and coal we burn is essentially us putting CO2 that was once in the air back into the air.

So yeah, the reasoning is pretty logical.
The reasoning is not logical at all. And the world is fine, it's the humans that will perish, but the world will still be there. It's just us that won't. So it's not saving the planet, or the world at all. Saying such is complete lunacy.
And last time I checked, the oxygen levels won't deplete below 20% ever, we have too much of that pesky green algae and photosynthesizing plankton in the oceans that it will never occur, oh and let's not mention that pesky little fern, Azolla Azolla, which spreads faster than a cold in a daycare center. The plant for which being the single reason for why we have such insanely high levels of oxygen in the first place.
Even more so, the levels of CO2 is ridiculously tiny, it's not even .05% of our atmosphere, people are freaking out over nothing. And planting trees will do nothing but drain water from the soil. Sure they will stop erosion but grass would suffice for that.
@@livedandletdie Uh... yeah, first of all, it was a joke. Second of all... yeah, trying to be nonchalant about the (huge) possibility that we are affecting the environment more than the Earth can really take is quite absurd, and it doesn't make you look as cool as you believe it does.
But hey, we can keep on denying the overall rising of temperatures, degrading of soil, enormous forest fires, desertization and extinction of species if you like. We can also deny the moon landing and stop vaccinating our children while we're at it.

So he had to buy the license to make it right. But he was scared he would have to close the channel so there even is another one rdy with a lot of subscribers that he started if he ever needed to switch

I think your content is absolutely top notch. You are really entertaining. Keep it up.
Thing is, repeatedly planting and harvesting trees is actually *good* for the environment. If you keep pollution to a minimum whilst harvesting, then each tree grown and harvested has stored a lot of carbon. As long as storing and/or using the harvested tree doesn't release the carbon (such as when burning) then you have a net loss in the atmosphere of CO2 (which is a good thing, we want it lower).

I too expected a catacomb-like location.
I care much for the forest, the forest is where I feel comfortable, when in a forest, I gain a since of peace that never appears to me when I’m away from the world of nature. The forest, jungle, and anywhere with a good cluster of trees, and other plants is vary important to my wellbeing, and the lives of every living creature with gills, and/or lungs.
The Bude Tunnel really makes you feel like wind doesnt exist. It has a little bit of something for everyone.

That's actually a more logical and sane reason for why you should plant more trees, seeing as the wood industry is one of the biggest industries in the world. Just ask Sweden, which main export is wood.
The environment doesn't really care about CO2 levels, the plants would as a matter of fact love 5 or 10 times more CO2, however if we really wanted to minimize the Greenhouse gas effect, we should rather produce more CO2 so that plants doesn't waste as much water, seeing as the more water trapped in the soil instead of forming clouds, would actually cool down the planet more, seeing as Water is 45 times more effective a greenhouse gas than CO2 which as a matter of fact is the least effective gas for heat trapping. And seeing as water is 2.5% of our atmosphere... It's quite clear to see that if we lowered that percentage, that the temperature would sink.
Oh and let's not mention all the gases no one speaks about such as Sulfurhexafluoride which are 3600 times more efficient at heat trapping than CO2...

Spiff, you can actually set your delivery zone at the top of the road and have the exports zone below it. This allows delivery trucks to arrive with trees, drop them off, then pick up logs on the way out. Really helps with the traffic.
An experienced planter can site, screef, load, and plug a seedling once every 2.5 to 3 seconds for somewhere between two to fifteen cents gross per tree. Just in case you need a backup plan for all the likes.
