    In this video, we are going to cover two ways to transfer an image or design to your cloth for tufting! The first way is to print out your design and trace it on the fabric. This method is perfect for making multiple rugs that will all be identical. The second method is to use a projector to project your design on your cloth and trace the projection. This method is great for making one elaborate design. If you own a rug business it's important to note that despite its popularity, using a projector might not be the best option of the two, seeing as there's more room for irregularities. Check out the video for more important details!

    I’ve learned a lot from your videos one thing I added was putting tack sticks on the sides or back it helps stretch the fabric evenly on the wood then on tacks try it’s faster

    hi there Rug Babe... when i did this, my top and bottom stuff weren't lining up like at all? it was the star wars logo and while the "Star" and "Wars" letters lined up on their row, the top few inches of the "Wars" letters were on the top and those weren't lining up with the bottom majority and I printed twice and it was the same result. is there a way around that? I had margins off but i still got a white border around my letters so now i can't do the design they way it needs to be

    May I ask if you've experienced having to make the same rug with the same dimensions? How do you keep it at a consistent size? Thanks in advance for your reply! :)

    How do you flip your image? Is there a specific website you need to use to flip your image? Also when tufting do you tuft from the back of the cloth of from the front side?

    • @PixelDicaprio
      @PixelDicaprio Před rokem +1

      if you print using printer paper, and use a lightbox/window just flip the paper around and it should work or you can use photoshop to flip

    Can you use a projector on a poster and then trace it onto the cloth from the paper to get the same size every time or will it be harder to see through the poster paper?

    • @RugBabe
      @RugBabe  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Dwight! That's an excellent idea that I hadn't thought of. I would assume your tracing would have to be dark enough to be seen through the other side of the cloth when you shine the light on it. Let me know if this ever worked for you!

    How do you connect the projector to your laptop with htmi?

    • @RugBabe
      @RugBabe  Před 2 lety +2

      The projector has a slot to insert an HDMI chord. Once you have plugged in the HDMI chord to both your computer and projector, the projector will automatically display your computers screen!

    Why dont you put the projector other side of canvas, so there wont be any shadow problem or you wont need to flip image. If you can keep carcas and projector stable, you dont even need to draw.

    where do u get ur images so you avoid copyright infringement???

    • @creationsbydiva7349
      @creationsbydiva7349 Před 6 měsíci

      I would create my own images. Anything that’s copyrighted will have you in trouble. Don’t listen to people when they tell you oh just sell some. The amount doesn’t matter. I have my own business and I create my own designs. I refuse to lose my business because of others brands.

    Can u get in trouble for copying the image and then selling it

    • @pressureflipin1992
      @pressureflipin1992 Před rokem +1

      As long as you're aren't selling 100s of them then you will be fine. Some logos or graphics you should never copy and sell such as Disney stuff. They will hunt you down and sue you out of existence. They are fucking asaholes. They have people who search the internet for people infringing

    • @creationsbydiva7349
      @creationsbydiva7349 Před 6 měsíci

      Sorry for the late response. But anything copyrighted should not be sold. It doesn’t matter how many you sell. These brands don’t care about that. Peoples businesses have been getting shut down just for even creating copyrighted content. Even facebook groups.

    An easy way to avoid fliping the image is to mark the canvas from the other side of it 😀

  • @kimberlysheehan1268

    Just use a projector , aim it towards the cloth and trace it so much easier

      That’s true but what if they can’t afford one at the moment? It’s good to have different ways to add an image to monks cloth.

    Why not just use a projector then you dont have to print it out. Saves paper and ink.
