You have had this pouch for a long time but when I looked it up and saw the price I passed on it. Seeing the thought behind the curve design and how the case sits wide open on the table yet keeps a small form factor has sold me on it. I’d pay the asking price now. Great stuff! I am a very detail oriented person, and the first thing I do with any bag is check for a "smooth as butter" zipper. After my spouse and kids, these little details in my EDC bag make life worth living.

Your video about your favourite pouches finally got me into the brand. Primarily aiming at the classic pouch, I ordered the pencil case, too. I use the larger version as a tech pouch. It fits the charger for my 13” MBP, my Airpods, a 29W MacBook USB C charger I use for my iPad, and all the cables and dongles you would need. It’s a great product.
I actually bought those to put my smaller items that I don't feel like digging through my CPL24 bag. It's been super helpful especially when I swap bags often.

Pencil cases are highly underrated, I have a gorgeous one I got from Neiman Marcus, it's bright orange like a tangerine with a texture like the skin of an orange or tangerine also, gold zipper with a beautiful purple liner inside, it's truly an epic pencil case.

@Chase, love your work and really like this case. However I was pretty surprised that the case is not long enough to comfortably hold Blackwings. Maybe not the "best" pencil case but still really nice...maybe for something other than pencils.

I got a couple of these but don’t use em for pencils . They’re great !! I can see these lasting a long time . I have the matching tech pouch and bellroy classic plus backpack , all in blue ! Gots to co-ordinate ! 👌🏼

Holy shit I actually found a pencil pouch /case I actually LOVE ! you are a salesman sir because I’ve hated pencil pouches forever. I love using a Niji roll case but this might great for my dip pens and comic supplies :) That fold out tray is on point for artists !

I had read these aren't made in the U.S. (well, the close-up of the tag confirms that) where something like the Brown Buffalo Porterpen Case is. Is that something that would steer you away from the Bellroy had you known that before you bought?

lol so funny Chase struggling to keep a straight face. No worries, man, I'm literally here because I'm in the market for the Bellroy pencil case, so this video is helpful (haven't watched yet, had to stop and write this because so funny watching you trying to hold it all in and make it legit). Not gonna use the pencil case for pencils though, but to carry around smaller tech items. Got a new backpack, but its internal organization a bit wanting, so trying to mix and match various Bellroy organizers to see if they can bridge the gap (eg classic pouch, tech kit, dopp and, yeah, the pencil case). Gonna watch now...!
EDIT: Watched the video and followed link to Bellroy site. It's more than I hoped for. The design touches, subtle and brilliant, the cutaway that holds the shape, the tightness of the inside weave to keep things clean, the smoothness of the zippers, and of course the fold out flat feature, are all amazing and what make this a very special pencil case worth every penny of its $49. Thanks for the video, you've helped me make a happy purchase decision and that's what it's all about in the end.

Braulio R. It’s still available on their website as of 02-26-2020. Some colors are discontinued, but the small pencil case is definitely still available.

If you think this pencil case is cool, you should look into the Pilot Tatemo or the Smasta pencil case. Now THAT'S clever design. Stands upright and has a place to keep your phone upright. The Japanese take their stationery to the next level.

Bellroy makes some beautiful products, but the premium markup is a bit too much for me. There are a ton of great pencil cases on JetPens for a fraction of the price from kamio, lihit lab, kokuyo and nockco that are perfect for my use. I've been tempted by that Bellroy travel folio though.
Yea, the guy we were gonna use to do my mom's heart surgery was good too, but there was a markup and i'm like, "I don't play that!" So, we're in Tijuana now and my mom can't feel anything below her sternum but we saved a fortune!

These things are great. I bought one to go in my sling, and then I bought another to also go in the sling. One is for pencils, pens, assorted and the other is for cannabis and accessories. Hells to the yes.
