My 9 Favorite Pen Cases of 2022!

- It's the first favorites video for the end of this year! What a year it was! All of these pen cases have been in use this year, though I didn't get all of them this year. It includes cases that go in pockets, backpacks, some that live on my desk, and some that cross categories! There are links to all of them below. It's not exhaustive, and it probably doesn't even include all of the cases I used this year. Who has time for that though!? Let's get going! What's your favorite pen case this year?

I like the Galen “book” case!
Great video overview! I need vegan goods, so while the Galen Leather cases are lovely, they won't work for me. I have tons of Rickshaw cases in various configurations and love them. I also have a Franklin-Christoph 12- pen Penvelope in NWF that holds my Sailor collection, and I still use a two-pen Nock Tallulah for my work EDC. I'm hoping the Rickshaw / Nock collaboration may tackle the Tallulahc someday soon. It's incredibly handy for two pens plus business cards, or a tiny Mnemosyne notebook.
The Tallulah is a really good case. It’s a little big for my pocket, but I do sometimes use it in a bag or a sling. I didn’t include the older Nock stuff here, since you can’t get it anymore, but I also have a Coleman on my desk. I turned it inside out and it’s a great pen cup style thing. Also hoping that there are more designs from Rickshaw & Nock in the future.
Nice cases. I own two Galen 40 pen case storage cases. 1 blue and 1 gray. I also have the lab smart cat case. 1 rickshaw case.
I love my Smand! Also been wanting the Smasta and the FC Penvelope. But the ones I use everyday are the Rickshaw Pen Coozies! They’re just such good design and value. Thanks for reminding me of some things I’ve always wanted, and introducing me to that Toyooka Craft box. That is handsome.

I had to order the 3-pen Penvelope! Not only is it beautiful, but I have to support companies that offer leather alternatives. Currently, I use a Kaco 10-pen case, Chinese 10-pen roll, and a pocket protector. Not in use for now is a two-pen book strap. That Toyooka Craft box looks amazing, but I would prefer to find it locally to avoid the shipping.
Yeah, I don’t use a lot of leather, either, and I really like an alternative like NWF. They also have some of the original model Penvelopes that are made in fabrics. I have one from suit cloth that has never show wear after years of use.
I love FC cases all the way. I have singles, a triple, a 6, several 12s and I just ordered a 48. They do everything I want without fearing a big scratchy zipper.
I like the FC Penvelop. Been thinking of getting one myself. I am not impressed by the Galen though. I have the 5 pen Crazy Horse. I'm afraid the metal zipper teeth might scratch my pens, and while I don't prefer the elastic pen loops, two loops are better than the one. I pretty much use Girologio. I use the 3 pen magnetic case, the 6 pen wrap, and I bought the 48 pen storage case to I can use that instead of keeping my pens in the boxes. I had no choice with pen slots on that one.
Audrey has a smaller Galen zip case, and the loops hold pens well enough that they don’t move and hit the zipper. I totally get the worry, though. The Penvelopes certainly don’t have that issue, and they’re very good cases in all of their iterations.

Exceptionally cool idea for a video, Mike-timely too. I finally snagged a Piquadro pen case on eBay-not the three-pen version I sought, but a nice two-pen model that fits a variety of pockets better. See you soon in Philly, hopefully!

Some very nice fully custom (yet cheap) cases makes Lepus Leather (on Etsy). A kind of old school.
Nice! Those are a very classic style of pen case. And they look well-done.
All pretty! I’m looking at getting one of those Rickshaw bags. Have you checked the Shibui cases? I love them. I’ll post my review of them soon.
I think I’ve seen a couple of Shibui cases, but I don’t have any. Interested to hear what you think.
