    I can confirm the three pen Rick Shaw’s are amazing if you don’t need a whole stack of pens to go with you. I find three is usually plenty though. At least for me and my wife

    I teach very active students with a fountain pen in my pocket. The only casualty was when I left one on my teaching table and a little person who was just learning to write his name used it and destroyed the nib completely. He was proud. I was proud and sad.

    I have the Rickshaw three pen ultra plush pocket. Very nice, mine is the herringbone pattern, very subdued which fits me just fine. I would like a two pen sleeve, I made a form fitted leather single sleeve, no padding or plush. Fits a Jinhao X450 loosely or a Conklin All American snugly, unfortunately I forgot a means of retention in my pocket. If affords decent protection but zero retention.

    GALEN: they are amazing. The pen cases have the best zippers--really beefy. You liked the combo storage, but the straight up pen storage is also great. Plus it's a great company with first-class customer service. You pay a bit...you get a lot.

I.e. would the corners of a notebook damage the inside? Will the Goulet Pen Tuning and Cleaning Kit fit in the bag? ... Thanks guys!!

    • @Gouletpens
      @Gouletpens  Před 2 lety +1

      The inside of the bag (Rickshaw Coozy Case) is not the Royal Plush material, and will not fit an A5 notebook. A smaller notebook (Field Notes size) will fit nicely, however! We have measurements and dimensions on our website for you, as well! Thank you! - Drew

    Can elastic loops cause micro scratches on the pen body? I prefer individual slots to hold pens, but none of the 40+ pen cases have them. At the beginning of every show can you both do a quick pen check. So whatever pen(s) you have on you at the time. Great show - I think the sweaters have something to do with it.

    • @Gouletpens
      @Gouletpens  Před 2 lety +1

      I think it's possible that elastic could eventually cause wear, especially if something gets caught between the elastic and the pen. However it's certainly not common - I promise you we would be hearing about it if it were a thing! ;) - Drew

    Galen 40 pen in deep green holds my pens in my book case, on my wall I have two picture frames with hold 6 pens each, which holds the inked pens and the pens I want to display on my video conferences. I have a single rickshaw for the pen that I am taking out daily to write with out of the office. I made the picture frames and they are really cool and my original plan was to display all of my pens. However, the pen fetish has really hit me, so need more space.

    Now y'all are trolling me a little bit!
    I used to keep a pen in my pants pocket all the time with the clip on the outside to keep it in place. But I found the clips were bending. I ended up talking to Drew on y'all's website and he suggested the Rickshaw cases. So I went with the 3 pen case. Now I have 3 inked pens with me at all times. I also have a Galen Leather A5 notebook. But it is a bit too bulky for my day to day use, but it is great for meetings. I keep my empty pens in a Girologio case. And the 48 count Girologio is great as a display case for all of my homemade pens! The divider has Velcro so it can be removed.

    Do you use one of those fancy display boxes for your fanciest pens? Or do you keep your fancy ones out? Do you just tuck it away? Also, if the Pope was going to your house and you were going to offer up 5 fountain pens to use (like how people save their fine china for "when the Pope comes") what five pens would you have out on display?
