Hi Patrick and thanks for your comments they are appreciated , I started on Murphys but after a while moved over to Guinness , a friend told me that Murhys is the a popular drink over Southern Ireland .
really enjoyed this and something different and love the outfit too lol, stout is one of my favorite styles a long with german wheat beers and ipa's. black heart stout is the only one there that is to rival guinness and being a similar price bracket too and imo the black heart stout has more flavor and im not a brewdog fan at all.
Hi Lee thanks for your comments and pleased you liked my outfit people need sunglasses on when I wear that , and yes I thought I would try something different although I don’t expect many hits I just had to do it having sunk a few pints of the black stuff and just had to honour it for being the best .
Good morning Kevin, my mum was Irish. I married a lass from Dublin. My lad a 50/50 mix. They have both been known to super the odd glass of the black stuff. Sadly, for family unity. I can't stand the bloomin' disgusting beverage 😵💫😵💫🥴😵( that's me banned from the Christmas party) However, on one thing,we agree on. Guinness 00( no alcohol!!!! 😳) what's the point. It's an insult to all good stout drinkers. As for your top pick, the Milk Stout. Ena, Minnie & Martha would probably raise there glasses to your choice. Have a great weekend Allan&Family
Hi Allan thanks for you input and I got converted many years ago as my delicate stomach was struggling with Lagers etc and did try Murphy,s then onto The Black stuff . And yes I agree with those legends from years gone by the milk stout a nice drink and by golly it does you good , Ps I’ve tried the 00 and it’s not bad but would you believe I hardly drink at all now , Have a good un and let’s hope we continue with a bit of sunshine 🎉
@@GavinRawson I think that if your out with a few mates for a nice night, then leave the car and call a taxi, skip a round of drinks to pay for the cab
@@AllanNeaves-qn3zr I’ve done it a few times out with the car and still had a good time. I live out of the city with no one to share a taxi with unfortunately so it would cost a bomb. Zero alcohol wouldn’t be my first choice but I think they have their place for some people.
@@GavinRawson Gavin, I know location can be a total pain, I also know every body has a choice and free will. So please continue to enjoy your nights out with your mates, sadly I can't make it that night. But I do owe you a pint. Cheers
Have you tried Sam Smith Stout I have it in a club near by For my taste it’s better than Guinness (and half the price) When I’ve been to Cork Ireland Murphy’s is brewed down there So Murphy’s is the most popular way down south As you all to well know There’s no such thing as a bad paint of Stout but some are better than others 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪 Cheers mi dears 👍👍
I don't know about the rest of you beer snobs but I didn't learn anything here other than Kevin(if I got your name wrong I truly am sorry) here doesn't like strong beer, starts talking in cursive after 5 swigs and refuses to open his mind up to better beer. I mean come on, do you think they make it the same way they did back in 1765 whatever?? Do you think they had the foggiest clue what nitrogen is? Or refrigeration so you could drink it cold??? Come on lad. There is better beer too be had. I promise.
Hi Jim Thanks for your comments and your right I dont drink the stronger beer anymore although I was a fan of Durham Temptation a Russian Imperial Stout and the occasional Pollys Black Brook my tastes have changed as have the amount as ive gotten older and do try some different ales now and again like Delerium Tremens , Jaipur , Fullers Vintage Ale but only have the one , So Jim let me know what you like and maybe I will give it a try . Thanks Kevin
@@thedurhamvlogger thanks for the reply Kevin, I was only breaking balls I hope you know that. I would love to try all of your suggestions but they are often times difficult to get on this side of the pond.... One that I have near me is Old Rasputin from North Coast Brewery. It's a Russian imperial stout, good stuff. However this is getting away from Guinness, I don't dislike Guinness in any way I just think it's kinda, meh, as the young say today. I think they could tell a better story if you know what I mean.
yeah, Guinness has fallen behind other stouts now.
Yes the rivals are biting at their heels , Thanks for your comments much appreciated
Dirty b*stars. It's a stout ale, dirty bastard and purple haze or turbo dog. Finishing up the stout ale.
As an Irish person, I don't know of any Irish person who'd rate Guinness as the best Stout. Great marketing though.

I'm not a huge snob when it comes to beer. If I like something, I like something.
Interesting not a big fan on Guinness but here in hobart at The New Sydney which is an Irish pub they do the best Guinness ask my husband
If it’s as good as a bar we went to in Sydney then it will be terrific
Brewpoint Genesis is another great new stout
Hi and thanks for your comments and. Never heard of that one I will have to give it a try
Great video (hic) not a fan of stouts myself but loved your shirt and hat 😀
Pleased you liked my shirt and hat
Pretty sure it's pronounced 'Mass-ham'
I stand corrected Graeme , they say you learn something every day , Thanks

I think zero alcohol beers are a good thing if you are out with some mates and you have got the car.

Hi pal yes I have tried Sam Smith and it’s a nice pint , they sell it at The Swan and three Cygnets in Durham City
@@kevinbell5592 What about the explosion at top of Market place Friday Must have been a gas leak ?
Yes the sell it in Durham City at The Swan and three Cygnets and it is a nice pint and a lot cheaper than others .
I love Sam Smith's chocolate stout. Their pubs are probably the cheapest in London as well. I don't know how they keep the prices so low.
@@flashylite All Sam’s products are good They supply their own brand spirits They used to do a larger called Pure 🚀 juice Beautiful taste too
Nice one Kevin, love Guinness and the ones you tried look great. Pop into the Swan and 3 cygnets in Durham for their Sam Smiths stout.......superb!
Thanks Nick good shout
