  • In part 1 Ket discusses the nature of his prosecution; his regrets about
storing and jeopardizing archives; the silence regarding his case from international museums and art organizations. In part 2 he discusses the responses he'd received online about his case; his work with companies who have not taken an interest in graffiti prosecution despite their use of the aesthetic vernacular which is honed in the streets; his own hard lessons learned; the logical extension of what his prosecution means to others the world over. In part 3 he discusses his life-long immersion in graffiti culture, and the artists who meant the most to him when he was young.

this is an impressive documentation of the situation ket is in. that is some bullshit that photos he posseses is 'evidence'. whos to stop ket from saying that he is just a graff photographer who enjoys the work of the artist he photographs (ket), instead of being the 1 responsible....

@loko450a shows how much you know about graff, every graff artist is a tagger. Evryone goes and bombs. If your not getting up I wouldn't qualify yourself as a "graffiti artist" more like an "artist who likes graffiti"

That's weird. I've sold a good amount of graffiti paintings and drawings. I've even sold a couple pieces of peeled walls when my crew does spring cleaning on our spots. We peeled the paint off the whole wall to seal it from some moisture cracks. The wall was started in 1996, so that was just under 20 years of real street graffiti at the time. A sizeable chunk was purchased by a local museum near to the city I used to live in. If that's not "actual graffiti" that was sold, I don't know what is.

i love graff but when you have been doing graff for over twenty years, its foolish to think your not gonna get into some shit. as far as other writers their shit will come. i dont like it but thats the way things go. new york is cleaning up its image as a world class city and its gonna make examples of the big guys like Ket. it sucks but to stop something you gaotta go right for the head. big ups to ket though , i feel for your situation

@LEGALHUSTLE00 California, in the mid 1990s, voted for the mind numbingly assinine 3 strikes law. That's fine for violent crimes, but otherwise? Be careful writing out here.
