    It's Beige Betty. Mine's blue and wood with 17-inch Impala SS wheels. Hangs the road like a Corvette (a 1975 Corvette that is).

    Beautiful wagon. Love the B body. My dream has been a 94-95 Cadillac with the 4.9L or better. Always loved these big roadmasters though too. Glad to see another young person interested in them.

    Thak you for this video! I fell in love with this car back in the mid 90’s when one with illinois license plates war in my area in Madrid (Chamartín),Spain. It was a time that for some reason there was a lot of us cars with us license plates in that area such as Buick Park Avenue, an Impala, a Civic, a Suburban ...there was also a volvo 940 with ny plates.....I was in my teens and never got to ask if they were spaniard coming back from the Usa or American expats.... It’sa pity that beacause of fuel economy we never get to have these beauties in Europe... Cheers from Spain

    Beautiful Wagon!!! Keep the dream alive. I'm glad i am not the only young guy who likes wagons. You said you don't know why you like them you just do. Well if you ask me I would say they are classic and with a few mods that LT1 can spank many of the new SUV that people buy now a days instead of wagons!

    • @harysuper
      @harysuper  Před 7 lety

      Craig Wilson I agree! It's amazing how much these can tow too! I don't mind truck based SUVs but I feel wagons big or small are way more capable and better than those small crossovers everyone here drives.

    I'm on my third Roadmaster, it seems like we've got some things in common. I'm on a 95 right now, and I even have the same tires as yours. I dig the gold color. I've got a weird green, but it's kind of cool, it changes colors and becomes sort of blue in bright sunlight. Thanks for the video. It was worth the watch. These cars are bulletproof, especially with the tow pack on the LT1. I'm jealous of your tint.

    • @harysuper
      @harysuper  Před 6 lety

      Quinn Shaw interesting! I bet we've had the same issues, I haven't had much but the previous owner had the same problems I had on my 93 haha. My 93 was the came color as this one.

    • @QuinnShaw
      @QuinnShaw Před 6 lety

      I've had a 91, 94, and 95. What kind of issues have you had? On my 91 I had an issue where water would condense into the gas tank when it was really cold and raining/snowing. That was it. On my 94, it had dynaride, the autoleveling system, and that wouldn't hold air, so I switched it to a closed air system, which proved to be awesome because I could over pump it a little and raise up the back just enough to stop scraping coming out of parking lots here in UT. My new one seems to have some kind of exhaust leak. It had a stuttering issue when it was idling for a bit, but I cleaned out my throttle body, MAS, and got a new PCV valve and that seems to be fixed. I took my 91 to Alaska, performed beautifully. Overall nothing too bad.

    • @harysuper
      @harysuper  Před 6 lety

      Quinn Shaw hmm my 93 had rust and a bad leveling suspension so I pulled the fuse on that. My 93 had a bad distributor, alternator, and my windshield cracked, and a bad starter. My 96 had a bad starter, airpimp, cracked windscreen and rust

    • @harysuper
      @harysuper  Před 6 lety

      Quinn Shaw I took care of the rust and bad windshield and previous owner put in new starter before I bought it.

    • @QuinnShaw
      @QuinnShaw Před 6 lety

      Sounds like the 93 distributor problem might have been related to the alternator. Overall you got off pretty easy. The 4L60 tranny isn't up to the abuse the engine is capable of giving it. Depending on how lucky you get with how it was made and your driving habits it's easy to burn through them. I know that's the major failure point for these, that and the optispark (water pump is above the optispark and leaks onto it). The LT1 in these was initially put into the corvette that year, and was designed to run under rougher conditions. They detuned it for these boats, and it worked out well. Something about having a pretty big engine that was made for doing a lot more than it is makes for a great combination of power, efficiency, and reliability.

      Memories Per Gallon lol I’m glad you found my other vids! I’m trying to upload more and thank you. I really enjoy these cars, I was glad to have found this one for sale in my area. Therese cars are quite reliable but several things will probably break on them due to the age of the car obviously, I daily drive this car and it’s served me quite well the year I’ve had it. My 93 served me well the 3 years before this one.

    Nice look w/the old style road wheels!....which BTW, are steel, not magnesium. If you read your owners manual, you'd know that "Change Oil" light on the dash is only a mileage-sensing reminder. It's resettable by turning the ignition to just the 'ON' position, then flooring the accelerator 3 times. Full-size rear drive GM passenger vehicles ended production in '96.

    Hi just picked up this beast! Any suggestions how I can reattach ALL trim? External and internal?

    • @harysuper
      @harysuper  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi! So for internal super glue, door trim Christmas tree clips work. JB weld you could use if you prefer. I used gorilla for mine and it worked good. For the outside trim I used 3M double sided adhesive tape and it worked great! Pep boys sells something similar to the black trim if you want. You also could use electrical tape instead of the rubber trim like I did on my 93 lol. Mine came with extra rubber trim so I was ok.

    Do you sacrifice any ride comfort with tow package when not towing? Are rear shocks electric adjust?

    • @harysuper
      @harysuper  Před 5 lety

      Not really. It actually handles a bit better. I installed KYB shocks and deleted the air ride. The rear shocks would automatically adjust. The KYB shocks feel really floaty but are stiff enough so it doesn’t make you sea sick. The car feels brand new with them. I bought the car wish aftermarket front shocks that were way too stiff so that sacrificed comfort a bit.

      @@harysuper You are so lucky to get it to that mileage. The sedan 1995, engine oil rings blew at 184,000 miles. I had to have a remanufactured LT1 engine block, pistons and rings included installed. It still had electric cooling fan issues. Couldn't get the secondary fan to kick in. Something with the computer. I went ahead and sold it after having electrical wire issues. Loved it though. Oh, left front end had collapsed on me once. Skidded about a hundred feet before coming to a dead stop. Smelled really bad of burnt rubber. Tire blew out causing it. Rivets came apart. Lucky I was only going forty mph.
