My 03 Sierra SLT 5.3 has 162 k and runs like a clock.Paid 4500 for it and put 1500 in repairs to make it right again.New shocks,tires ,Alt and Battery,Belts,map and O2 sensors,and a rack and pinion replacement.Hoping to get good miles out of the transmission but I will replace if necessary.New truck payments are crazy and this 03 has no rust and the interior is pristine even the carpets and headliner.All fluids are next up.

One of the best trucks ever made. I love my 2001 Silverado Z71 with 230K, original engine and transmission. If this truck was made today, I would buy another. I do not like that new FAD stuff like WiFi, Onstar and other gadgets.

Best trucks Chevy ever made, hands down! Bought my 02 LS new and was stolen 3 yrs ago just 2 mos after doing a complete frame off. Black, 3.73 5.3 most reliable comfortable vehicle Ive had...and owned over 53 of em. Never had the valve covers off it. 3k oil change, wix filter let it warm up some went close to 200k before it was wrecked

I have an 02 with 370k and doing great. I did have to do the rear main seal and while I was at it I had a new oil pump put in. Turned out to be a great idea as she is purring like a kitten.

I want a 99 Silverado. Cheap to buy, cheap to fix and easy to work on. Found one not far from me, blue with tan cloth seats with 175k miles. It's a z71 too so I have 4x4 capability and plenty of power at the go. And don't get a 4 cylinder truck. If you don't want a v8, get a cummins diesel, be a man.
