I've always preferred the sound of a straight piped LT1 compared to a straight piped LS. Just something about it makes it sound like the car has a big ol' nutsack hanging down.

Sounds good, and I definitely like the idea you can open it up when you really wanna throw someone off at a stoplight and then make it quiet as a church mouse when the kids are in the car or when your not trying to hot rod it

Lt1 is an amazing engine, i have a 97 z28 6speed thats 450hp at wheels and gets 30mpg on highway on 93 pump gas

It's funny that how the mic works when you opens it, it for quieter you can only really tell because our are harder to hear
People get LT1s fucked up! I used to have one of the fastest street cars in my area with 96 Fourmul with a stock bottom LT1 heads,cam,intake where from advanced Inductions and cool ass expensive fogger kit in the ported LT1 intake jetted for a 200 shot ramped and controlled by one of edelbrocks old big gray nitrous controllers I swapped a th350 with a manual valve body and bad ass PTC converter and went through 6 or 7 10 bolts from 3.42 geared 6 speed car rear ends. And a few suspension parts from BMR it went 6.30's in the 1/8 and was still running pretty strong after I sold for a while until they tried to hit it with a 250 shot and it didn't care for it, but idk I think it would have took it if it had a ramped it out farther. That was one of the best sounding cars I've owned the exhaust was long tube headers with 3" exhaust with some dynomax bullets with turndowns that dumped at the rear end, it just sounded like the devil laughing when it idled I still got that cam card some where, this car had 0 safety in just me with a helmet the only place I could really turn loose the juice was at one of my home tracks every time I snuck in to Huntsville dragway I'd make a pass on motor and they would come tell me If I went faster 7.50 I would have fo leave even with no timing it still went like 7.53, next pass go up and bust a 6.31 out they would be waiting on me at the time slip booth lol

Do the exhaust cut out then a better air filter and maybe some lighter advancement springs for the timing and plugs and then maybe some high octane gas and see what each are worth at the track
