    Good luck to you this week.. It may be next week when I do the Reset, just not quite ready at the moment.
    I do try to always have cooked potatoes in the refrigerator even when I’m not ‘resetting’. They are sooooooo much better that way, you taught me that!

    Thankyou for explaining about no cover on the pressure cooked potatoes. I just did two batches of the pressure cooked for the first time last night and I didn't know they might get too moist. I'll go check them. I am used to the oven but it's getting so hot nowadays. The pressure cooker sure helped.😊

    I stalled over the past 4 weeks because I've started baking sourdough bread (bread is my main weakness/craving) and replacing most of my veg with bread. I'll be joining you on the reset. I'm going to prep tonight, after sourdough pizza for dinner, lol.

    • @dj-fe4ck
      @dj-fe4ck Před 4 lety

      Why do you think sourdough bread is bad? Sourdough bread is wonderful, especially if it's whole wheat or whole rye sourdough bread.

    • @PotatoWisdom
      @PotatoWisdom  Před 4 lety +2

      No food is "bad" but some foods don't work well for some health goals such as weight loss. Especially if it's a trigger food for her. If I had a loaf of fresh bread in my house I would eat it all in a couple of days.

    Tons of thanks for sharing your fabulous approach to healthy eating, I love it! You do a wonderful job of communicating in your videos the important aspects of making the various dishes! Quesion...do you use organic potatoes? If not, why? Although down on the EWG 'dirty' list, potatoes are on that list. Many thanks, Bruce

    • @PotatoWisdom
      @PotatoWisdom  Před 4 lety

      Hi Bruce, thank you for the thoughtful comment, it means a lot! As far as organic potatoes, I get them when I can but I live in an area that doesn't have good quality organic potatoes available. If I'm lucky I can get a 3lb bag of organic potatoes for $8.

      @@PotatoWisdom Thanks so much for your reply.......I fully understand and live in an area where bulk quantities of organic produce isn't common, especially potatoes. Bruce

    I have 3 lbs in the fridge that I pressure cooked and I think I will make some mashed now. I have cucumber, romaine, grape tomatoes, onions, frozen asparagus and green beans, spinach. I think I need to buy more but have a small fridge in the RV. So I will be cooking more. Gotta get out my George forman griddle!

    Question - I saw you cooked cut up potatoes in the Instant Pot for mashed potatoes. Did you add any water or seasonings to the potatoes when you mashed them? I can see you drained off the water first, but you didn't indicate if you added anything before you mashed. THNX

    • @PotatoWisdom
      @PotatoWisdom  Před 3 lety

      I usually leave some of the cooking water in the pot, if it looks like too much water I drain some of it. Then mash, and if I add anything it's just a splash of non-dairy milk if needed.

    Thats how I do mine, and they remain moist and Scrumptious.

    Do you scrub your potatoes or just soak them when you are cleaning them.

    • @PotatoWisdom
      @PotatoWisdom  Před 4 lety

      That depends on how dirty they are. Typically yellow potatoes just need a soak and rinse, maybe a spot scrub here and there. Russets tend to need a little more scrubbing.

      I do a reset every now and then when I feel like I'm getting off track with my diet. The Potato Reset is a great way to reset tastebuds and find a new appreciation (or a reminder) of how amazing simple whole plant foods are.
