Hey Tally, kinda bothers me to see that chip exposed area on the backside of the card. Wouldn't that make all the dust much easier to settle on it? Why is it not covered?
Dust gets in behind the back plate anyway. I guess its easier to blow like this.

I bought this card for a few days ago and I'm not happy with the temperature. It's so hot! I'm getting 75°C under full load when I'm stress testing it with msi kombustor! GPU Hotspot is like 85°C and it's very noisy 😑

I don’t know much about building PCs. My current GPU has a 2 x 4 power connection and so does my power supply wire. I have a 750 W power supply. Do I need a bigger power supply or do they sell the right wire separately.
It looks like the 3070 has a 2x12 pin power supply and I just don’t know how to go about that

@@potentialasset9169 After I under volted down to 0.9V it was great. Prior to under-volting it was thermal throttling constantly. Afterward I run World of Tanks on max setting at 120 FPS with temps either side of 65c. It looks absolutely amazing in my Thermaltake Tower 900.

I thought the "Ti" were better? What do you mean when you say "full hash rate card"? Is it worth buying this Strix card? Or should I look for the 3070 Strix? (non-Ti) Thanks for any help!
It means it's a LHR card, which means it has Lite Hash Rate. Basically, high hash rates are better for mining cryptocurrency, so nVidia made LHR cards to make them more accessible to gamers rather than miners. It doesn't affect gaming in any way though so you can safely go for the Ti and you don't have to worry about it :D

Hey mate, here in NZ Evga 3070 ti FTW3 is going for $1500 and Rog Strix 3070 ti is going for $1300. I always thought Rog cards are superior than any others on the market. Also, PBtech sold more Evga than Rog, so why are people paying more for Evga?

the pandemic isnt going to change the price, it's usually scalpers and cryptominers. However, NVidia has discouraged mining with the "new" cards by decreasing the amount of mining capabilities in half.
however i would estimate the rtx 3070 ti would end up around 1.2k, I would try and get the card lower, maybe like an rtx 2060 or 2060 Super. But you can do whatever you want

These prices don't indicate Scalping aiming gamers. It's clrearly Scalping aiming miners.
These cards have only been nerfed for Ethereum Mining. For every other coin, they perform the same.
Even the nerf isn't that important sadly..
50% nerf on Ethereum isnt that much of an issue, considering the extremely high price of the coin these days (and it's tendency of keep going up for the coming months).
My personal belief is that Ether will not start decreasing (to a point that it's no longer viable to mine with a GPU) until April/May of 2022.
So, the shortage will continue for another year (and hopefully no longer).
If you need a GPU and have the money, purchase one right now. Otherwise, forget the 3XXX series and wait for 4000.
Though no-one can guarantee you that we won't face the same situation again.

The smartest thing to do right now is getting a console for gaming. And a PC with either: A) integreated graphics for everyday usage B) A Quadro for work if needed.

@@cheezesauce8971 I saw a video a while back which said the exact opposite. That an older card with slower vram but more of it is outperformed by a newer card with less vram. Not just because the gpu is faster, faster vram makes up for there being less of it.
