I intentionally search for videos of Scottish people talking, since it is very pleasing to hear the accents for me as a foreigner.
I also adore the sound of nails on a chalkboard.
@@artistsanomalous7369 is that what you sound like. Who do you mean.

Love Scottish people, they're so welcoming, authentic, witty, friendly and down to earth ❤🏴
“We’re alright” This is the correct self assessment. For all peoples.
Friendly, frank, and funny. A “wee drink” is never wee.
Just got back from Scotland. Solo trip. Incredibly friendly, surprisingly initially shy and extremely helpful. Went to some “sketch” places and never felt a bit of a dangerous presence. Magical magical place
Ooh as a Scottish person I’m curious as to where you went thats considered ‘sketch’
@@e.d3121me too …🏴😎

Since the movie Brave, I've always considered scottish people to be marvelous, mythical, otherworldly creatures with beautiful outstanding accents. Not to mention the highlands & the dazzling stories of old behind the magical things in them.
Thanks! You are always welcomed to visit scotland to see the beauty with your own eyes

No wonder your national animal is the unicorn🤣 I'll definitely be visiting Scotland; wish to be making more scottish friends as well.. just to know more about that lovely enchanting culture.. or "bonnie" as a Scot would say it xD

We were once a proud brave nation. Now we are just a bunch of cry babies blaming all of our faults on England

"Nicola Sturgeon adviser blames 'ENGLISH PEOPLE' for Scotland's rise in coronavirus cases." XD
yeah but that doesn't lessen your awesomeness & the beauty of your ancient culture
If that is the case, Filipinos and Scotsmen have many things in common. Maybe we can become good friends .
🤣
Filipinos and also similar to vietnamese people
Just like a comment here, I too found myself attracted to Scotland when I saw Brave back in 2014 on DirecTV and well since last year this Mexican got himself to learn Scottish Gaelic on Duolingo, let's just say....its kicking my ass left and right. 😅
I hope to vist Scotland especially the Highlands and meet the people & learn the history, culture, and folklore of Scotland
Good for you! This Scots speaker and Gaelic learner is being trained in all things Mexican. Yee haw from Texas!
I’m trying to relearn Spanish(only did some in high school). Gaelic is notoriously hard to learn so well done trying! Good luck. I’m a Weegie and that can be like a different language too🤣
Duo too
I love Scotland and its people🏴♥️
I did my Ancestry DNA test and it turns out I am 19% Scottish and seeing these people now it makes sense, especially getting a good laugh and friendly outlook.

If you don't like the weather, wait five minutes... 😣👍👍
1:07 he should have carried on the full Trainspotting quote “Some people hate the English, I don’t, they’re just wankers. We on the other hand are colonised by wankers, couldn’t even find a decent enough conuntry to be colonised by.” 🤣
Great pfp
Up for a good laugh and a good drink. Got it! The guy at 3:17 really had me thinking, nice explanation.

I remember back in the 70s and 80s when Scotland was full of Scottish people.
Most folk in this video were Scottish - maybe one or two wernae. Edinburgh these days is full of English people. In fact the English are the biggest immigrant group in Scotland - about 10% of the population are English immgrants.

Scottish bands, like the bay city rollers with Eric Faulkner.
Down to earth that's how we are so jolly as can be .Thank you.
The reason to visit would be just listening to them talk, what a great accent 🤣🩵

l'm English and dam l'm warming to these people l suppose l have been guilty of stereotyping all Scots as Braveheart English haters maybe l need to not be so sweeping.
An awful lot of Scots are sweeping with opinions particularly of our English friends, I worked a lot of years in England, Ireland and Wales and for me the majority of English people are much friendlier than our other UK friends in Ireland and Wales. Too many form opinions of others by listening to friends without having travelled our Great Britain
Just because we want independence from a union dominated by England, it doesn't mean we hate English people, or love Braveheart. I can't stand Gibson, and the movie was 'meh' for me. Great soundtrack though.
0:33 I've been to that exact place so many times

Scottish people are beautiful , hard working,I love the accent, the women are very beautiful ❤️❤️
Which film did you see?
I love the accent so much!!!
Spent one year in Glasgow. They DO love their drink and laugh. Welcoming. When the old ladies call u "hen", or "wee lassie", its so endearing. Accent is still hard to get though.
Hi there! 'Scotland' is just a heaven on the Earth. That's because, this country is besotted with picturesque beauty of nature.A perfect example of development going side by side conservation of nature. There are many beautiful countries in the world like Switzerland,France and Finland.List is incomplete without Scotland.Scottish people are like assets in any country they live from UK,Europe to US& Canada to Australia and New Zealand. Also other parts of the world.Last but not the least,Scottish lasses are the most beautiful.
I love you,Scotland❤❤
I grew up and still live in a small town in Scotland which has history and great views surrounding me all the time so I often feel like I’m almost blind to the beauty of it all, so I find it really nice when people from other countries appreciate and admire it :).
Nice video stay bless
The lad in the adidas top is actually very eloquent and makes a good point about social gatherings.
Can't always judge by appearances. Lots would think he's just a wee ned if they walked past him in the street but he's definitely got his head screwed on.
Keep up the good work 😍😋❤😘

Didn't expect the first reply to be that scottish
Scottish people are led by their hearts, rather than their minds.
Apparently you've never heard of the Scottish Enlightenment or the outsized role of Scots in science and technology. Modern democracy and education have both been heavily influenced by the Scots. Many of the American Founding Fathers received their educations from Scottish teachers or Presbyterian academies, so their ideas about government and the role of citizens in government were directly influenced by Scottish thinking. Plus, for being from such a small country the Scots have invented or been involved in developing a crazy amount of technology and scientific ideas/theories.

The rule that always works in all relationships throughout the ages. @@a.b7797 One of your female ancestors spent the night with a haggis salesman
@@a.b7797 wow that is so interesting... historically the Scots have certainly travelled wide for such a small country, its nice to think perhaps there is a little Scottish in everyone! 😂
So you are patriotic but you are happy to see us governed by another country!! At least 50% of us do not believe in the UK.
That's a lie. Most Scots voted to leave the union in 2014. Those born in Scotland voted to leave, but the vote was won for the union by those living in Scotland, but born elsewhere in the union. Don't take me at my word, easy to find on google.
And even now the polls are split 50/50, and higher among Scots themselves.
Two out of every three people in Scotland under the age of 35 support independence. Half of all those under 55 do.
And fewer than 20% of us identify as British in any way. Two thirds identify as Scottish-only.
I think Scottish people and culture has been shaped largely by the shite weather, history and work. The weather means we have to be hardy but, like the weather, also makes people a bit dour and miserable for (at least) half the year. Scotland´s history, and especially having an arrogant superpower on our doorstep, meant we had to be tough just to survive as a nation for over a thousand years. And the kind of working class jobs that existed - coal, steel, ship building, farming harsh land - also created a camaraderie and a solidarity among people that makes Scotland far more receptive to egalitarianism and socialist ideals than our southern neighbours for example. Community spirit has always been strong as you will see when Scotland finally breaks free from the UK. And a combination of all these factors leads Scots to enjoy every opportunity to drink and party whenever possible.
You don't have a chip on your shoulder bill, no there is no shoulder left, all gone. Have you ever been to places like Bolton, Newcastle, Bradford or even Birmingham or Bristol? They all speak differently to Scots but think the same way as you and most Scots. Once Covid is gone or you've had the vacc get out of Scotland and witness for yourself. Indy = Skint like Croatia, Moldova etc
Agreed with all this.
