Yeah he is kind of stupid tho. He uses like 1 pound baits on a medium action rod. He also sets circle hooks like J hooks and is overall really bad at catfishing.

Bank fishing is what makes his content great. Too many guys focusing on boring sport fish. He likes the curious fish that most closed minded anglers consider trash.
This is definitely my favorite fishing channel on YT. His filming style makes me feel like I am standing on the bank fishing with him.

That paddlefish is an insane catch, Nick, major congratulations on that one! You should come out to the Chesapeake sometime, maybe hit up some invasive snakehead in addition to crazy striped bass, bluefish, and catfish.

The paddle fish often break their bills on the rocks either through what they've been through already or sometimes during the fight when your reeling them in.

That was a nice trip Nick, sad we all didn't get to see the beast that got away. Still you had that personal best which sure was a sweet catch! Hard for us here in California to find those spill ways that aren't PACKED with No Parking & No Fishing signs... so still do loads of Delta fishing and Lakes. San Francisco Bay then again is only a 2 hour drive for us.
