    This is definitely the best video I’ve seen! He points out an important step that all the others missed about cutting off the individual tabs to start out with your straight wall and not to cut off the straight edge that has the overlapping area! He follows through on the whole job and yes there are a few ads but he’s very well worth it for all the detail that he points out

    Andrew your video was well done and covers a lot of areas of concern, such as a starting point, cutting out receptacles and, handling wall corners. I have a question about the small strip portion you needed to add just below the cabinet. Did you need to use a new tile sheet for each successive strip applied in order to have it match? Or were you able to cut multiple strips from each tile, using a set of remaining tiles, to get each strip to match? Thanks.

    • @PhillipsVision
      @PhillipsVision  Před 3 lety +2

      I would recommend applying them onto a smooth, clean surface. If you don’t want to remove the tiles you should prep them so the tiles stick properly by cleaning the existing tiles and grout with a good grease remover and wait to dry before applying the peel and stick.

    Will these stick to an existing backsplash that is now outdated?

      If it’s a tile one you’ll need to prep it so it will stick. If it’s a peel and stick one you’ll need to remove it first and prep the wall

      I don’t think so. The adhesive is not too strong

      Did you prep the wall and clean it? If there is dirt, moisture or grease it will be hard to adhere to. If everything is clean you could try small amounts of silicone adhesive

      The adhesive doesn’t seem too strong, so it should peel off somewhat easy. You may have to do a little patch work if the wall underneath gets pulled off in areas.

    Why wouldn’t you remove the plastic sheet so you can see where the air bubbles are?

    So to save anyone time you basically cut it and peel and stick it on the wall

    The inside corner wasn't square, he didn't show the correction angle so the tiles wouldn't be going up and leaving a bottom gap.
