Yes! How can I communicate I don't want a stressful job managing a lot of people anymore?
I've had it happen multiple times, and it seems to occur a lot more in Korean culture, since they're sensitive about age (high discrimination as you get older). The recruiter actually reached out to me for an interview, and during the interview kept telling me I have too much experience and that the team lead would not be comfortable... Then why contact me and waste my time!! lol.... By the way, this was a perfect position for me.
Agreed. My favorite question is the 'you excelled in so many areas with long runs at companies, why aren't you a manager........

One question: Or i missed. ??What does over qualified look like in an interviewers remarks if they don't actually come out and say it? I'm reluctant to accusation -audit it for risk of sounding cringy. "I know you probably think I'm over qual, but.." Rather its probably no secret you are at least qualified and likely you aren't an 80% or + fit into existing resources. I've had interviews where my line of questioning took us from What was important to them to Why it should be, then to exactly how I would do it for maximum impact, but but deep down I know they want a minion, not a master.

What can be your long term goal when you are seventy?
My father in law turns 90 in a few months. So, 20 years give or take!?
Do you have a long-term goal?
How about, "I am passionate about my career, and eager to contribute to the company by X" (whatever you are passionate about plus also maybe "sharing my knowledge with others on the team"). Knowing and documenting to myself my 1, 5 10 year goals (both personal and professional..which I have done for many years) helps me.
I am not actively in job search mode now so any company/position for which I applied then I would likely know the answer. I do understand there are situations where paycheck/benefits are the major motivators, but just knowing yourself what passions and career aspirations you would have if not tied to money could be good answers in an interview. Maybe write down your answers as if you won the lottery then scale it back a bit to reality. Hope this helps.
