Thank you for the kind words!!
@@BetterDrumming which Ride cymbal (brand/diameter) can you suggest for Jazz on a low budget price range? Thanks!
I’ve been with Bosphorus for years! All their cymbals are amazing, I like 22” for ride cymbals! Hope this helps :)
Great video. Surprisingly there is not too many like this. Thanks brother.
Thank you! :)
Thanks for this, like the straightforward presentation.
Thank you kindly! Glad you liked it!

Great vid mate! Thanks!
Thank you!
Such a great lesson! Thanks!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Well presented, to the point, no unnecessary talking, informative. One reason for coming here, (as a novice) when I play the hi-hat I haven't yet managed to stop it double triggering. I'm using a beginner (Alesis) electronic drum kit so know it's not going to be like the real thing. It seems to be, I press the hi-hat down and when I lift up my leg/foot bounces slightly which causes the re-trigger. I need to develop a firm action.
Thanks for watching :) When you are doing the bounce, try to keep your toes in contact with the pedal, so just your heel does the bounce, this should help to not double trigger. Hope this works!
Nice one. 👍
Thanks!
Thanks mate
No problems!
Thank you sir
Thanks for watching!

What's the most effective one for rock/metal?
Depends what your goal is, I would recommend having a go at heels down and heels up first and go from there :)
For some reason, I tense my leg when putting my foot onto the pedal, trying to keep the high hat down. What do you think I could do to keep my leg relaxed, while still holding the high hat down?
Hi Branson, try experimenting with your seat height, the gap between the high hats, and the tension of the high hat hardware its self. Hope this helps.
I'll be honest playing flat foot for decade +, and it don't feel too good catching up with Bonham! Now this video might be the missing part, so many parts to playing instrument 🎷.
I have an electric drums and my pedals suck. First of all, it moves around a lot.
Hmm, maybe you could try fixing the pedal to the carpet using velcro or use a non-slip mat to try and keep the pedal in place?
Which technique is the best
I use all of them in different situations!
@@BetterDrumming would u use the bounce or heel up for uptempo swing
Either work, but if you use the bounce at 300bpm it’s quite a lot of work. Up to you which one, but if you use heel up only on 2&4, you might have to practise some co-ordination using that same technique to make it fluid!
