wondered how to make a main menu in roblox studio? or how to create a shop which has working GUI? ive made lots of 2024 roblox scripting tutorials about all the different bits of roblox to give you some up-to-date information about all of its properties and events.

I once had an idea for like a battlegrounds game. So when you die, you turn into a plushie (There is also a package named 2D Plushie so it can be used) that's literally your exact avatar except the body parts and size. Other people can pick you up and do various acts like put you in their inventory or steal your moveset etc idk or like destroy your plushie to kill you. If someone doesn't kill you, you can wait 30 seconds to pick either if you will be a living plushie or turn into your normal avatar. Being plushie would mean 50 health but in change, a speed boost, a small jumping boost, lower cooldowns to use moves etc. I thought that was pretty cool and I tried to do it but I'm bad at scripting and especially when it comes to avatars/characters/players I can do nothing. It'd be so cool if someone did that.

Deepwoken's depths system is great, where if you die 2x you go to the depths, and you have to do a trial to regain the 2 lives, else you lose everything.
ive been watching quite a few of your videos and i think youre really good at explaining stuff

there is a cool steam game called rounds that has a really nice death system (and yet im still bad at it)
(it's a bit hard to explain with text so look the game up- maybe even get it too since its pretty cheap!)
in rounds you win with a first-to-5 round system, and have a best of 3 to win a round. after one of you beats the first round, the losing player gets to chose a stat card. these stat cards can give you new mechanics (e.g. 'drill' that makes your bullets go through walls) or stat bonuses that can give you faster bullets. this system helps to keep a game from being 1-sided if you suffer from skill issue. (then again theres nothing stopping a player from winning 5-0)
A long time ago i had an idea for a game kinda similar to outer wilds, but its level based and instead of telling you what you have to do when you die or something, your "soul" comes out of your body and you reset the level as the soul, having to protect your human form as he does the same movements as you did when you controlled yourself before dying. And if the human form dies again, another "soul" comes out of "you" and you reset the level again, but this time controlling the newest soul, and the other soul does the same stuff that you did as that soul when you controlled it, and it loops until you finish the level and you dont die. It was called "soul mate" but i never tried to make it.

The death screen type of Outer Wild is something i had in mind earlier today lol. Its very cool
deepwoken has a unique death system where you have 2 lives until you get sent to the underworld or "the depths" which you have to beat a trial to get back to the surface
+ sometimes if you die you get bell which is legit a revive and a power up

one of my personal favorite death concepts from a video game is probably rain world. Instead of dying immediately you die when your player is fully off screen. This means that you still have a chance at survival after getting chomped by a lizard. It also applies to the power of enemies as some just kill you immediately but its still an amazing way to die

also destiny 2 has a really cool mechanic where if a enemy has a ghost that allows it to respawn all you godda do is kill it, go close to it and hit a button to grab the ghost and crush it with your hands and it looks so badass!
Idea: essentially the players have to do tasks for 20 minute long rounds, you have 30 seconds to find and complete the task "no task locator" or else you die. If you die you become a ghost that can possess, reverse controls, stun, or any other ability. The abilities get stronger the quicker you died.

Both Hades games got death loop mechanic not in roblox tho but really Cool
hollow knight makes it so when you die a "shade" spawns where you died and you have to go kill it to get your money back but if you get killed by it or you die by other means the shade despawns and you permanently lose your money

Another game that has a really good death system is Hades 1 and 2. the entire idea is that you go through the dungeon and upon death you unlock more things to change your playstyle. in hades 1 your goal is to kill your own father aka hades. in hades 2 I think you have to kill death aka the grim reaper. it will be very hard at first but once you beat the final boss and learn how to do it easily it becomes very fun.
instead of a death function make it so that the player that died can control the person that killed them as well as the player so the player with the most kills cant be controlled and the players can try to kill the player and spawn back in
Hollow knight uses a cool system, when you die, a shadow of yourself spawns, to get your items back you have to fight it and win, but id lile if someone made it more interesting
I would like to add custome deaths per gear u own so having a gear on non-gear allowed games have a purpose

A death system I was thinking of is the test Bank
my idea for my rpg game im doing is just that when the player dies, they get teleported to a new place called "Heaven" then they have to do something there to be revived idk i havent figured it out yet.

fun fact with bloxtrap you can force roblox to use the oof sound again which is my favorite feature.
dying in destiny 2 is always fun because you can revive with your ghost its a main mechanic.
Postal 2 also has a funny death animations.
