for the stair problem, give the empty player gameobject a character cotroller, and change the step offset. 0.7 works good for stairs.

For stairs you can just overlay an invisible slope over the stairs and then it will be super smooth

For the stairs you could have just taken out the colliders for the stairs and then adding one long diagonal collider, just and easier fix for you for the next time
this game is so good. This could actually be a pretty good game on it's own if you're willing to work on it some more

i lost in when he comes up with a way more intricate solution on the stairs rather than just overlaying an invisible ramp on top of it like most other games do.

lower your mirror resolution, disable the mirror if youre not in the room, check texture resolution and try to atlas as much as possible, mark things as batching static that don't move and you should be sweet on performance.

Dude, Unity already have adjustment setting for climbing(like for stairs) in 'Character Controller' component just by setting climbing height value as you want in INSPECTOR! 😂🔥🔥

I actually tried something like that but the main problem I had is that my character controller would not work on slopes and I couldn't figure out why lol, so changing the gravity was the easiest solution.

@@har3nz There's definitely ways to do that, I actually have another character controller that works fine with slopes, but that code wouldn't work with this game for whatever reason
it would’ve been cool if they turned into a mop instead then a creepy cutscene plays while your mop speaks , lol
I have idea ahem so u wake up in a science lab with a hidden key to get out the room but there are 2 guards guarding the door if anyone escapes so u have to sneak up on one take the gun and shot the other guard and escape
Something tells me that this game is actually going to get some lore and MatPat will be theorizing about it in 2024.

It’s fairly simple, the beans have metal in them that they feed to the prisoners and when they eat enough beans they get pulled up into the magnet 🧲 and they use the metal form the beans inside of them to make weapons!! BOOM THERE IS YOUR LORE FOR THE GAME :)
For the stairs just make the collider a ramp
