Most are getting closer to Houston as the landfall location once it becomes a Hurricane after pushing through the Yucatan penninsula. The land resistence will push the air northward, and low pressure depressions ahead of Beryl will show the winds are northward bound reflecting influence from southern Oklahoma and mid Texas. This means Beryl will now potentially grow into a bigger threat to Texas and drag with it serious flood water potential and long term presence in the gulf, causing higher winds and increasing the intensity to category 5. In 3 days the storm will blossom into a huge spread, affecting every coast around the gulf. Slow frontal winds may create serious monsoon weather for northern Mexico and South Texas. Interestingly enough, this will offer Mexico and west-southwest Texas a lot of long term rain.
Because of the heat, this depression may stay around an entire week, with rain through Oklahoma for several days, pressured to stay by high pressure domes East and North. As air modifies, these cold fronts then, will move eastward and northward, along with unstable could masses that will rain for days across the south and through the St.Louis and Ohio corridor toward the Great Lakes. So for 3 weeks Weather will be impacted by Beryl! What a record setter!!

We're relying on "Spaghetti Models", that tell us that the current thinking on the Storm Track is going to be just what they pretty much said, all week.
But, with that Storm restrengthening, it looks like it has begun to take a bit more of a north-westerly track, right up over that small Island, that is right in front of the Yucatan Peninsula. If that happens, and then the Storm takes more of a north-northwesterly turn, then these Meteorologists will have to shift their "Spaghetti Models out over the western Caribbean, but further off to the east of where the Spaghetti Models showing it's current "Potential Tracking". That could take it to the upper part of the Southeastern Texas Coastline...and if, by any chance, it curved further off to the north...or even the northeast, then that would be a potential landfall on the Louisiana Coastline...if not further east.
The last time I looked at Computer Models, it showed a rather large High Pressure area over the lower southeast of the United States. However, it could get pushed farther east, possibly out over the southwestern Atlantic Ocean. At the same time (& this next "Potential piece of the puzzle," so to speak), is a very unusual dip in the Jet Stream, right over the Central U. S...(& Folks-This is a very sharp dip in the Jet Stream, for this time of the year)! If that Jet Stream digs farther to the south, and the High Pressure System gets pushed out to Sea, then that would provide the perfect path for that Storm to move through the lower southeastern U. S., and potentially cause a lot of rain, wind, flooding...you name it!
What I've gone into, with what I've said, is quite possibly a worst case scenario. It might not happen, the way that I described things.....but there's always the potential for a worst case scenario. Always be prepared! I've seen, not only Hurricanes, but other types of Storms, do some of the most unexpected things. I've seen Low Pressure Systems suddenly change course in their directional paths, and I've even had the pleasure of seeing an Early-Season Snowstorm, on the 10th of October, way back in 1979. We received 8 or so inches of heavy wet snow in & around Staunton, Virginia. Areas over the Allegheny Mountain Chain, just off to our West, received 15 inches of snow, on that same day!
A Cold Front had moved through our area, but, unbeknownst to Weather Forecasters, at least initially, the Cold Front had folded over on itself, and a very intense Low Pressure System developed on that Cold Front, down over Georgia. At the same time, the High Pressure System associated with the Cold Front had almost come to a stop, right over the Great Lakes. That Storm developed so quickly, and was so intense, that, as the Storm over Georgia moved to the northeast, there was enough cold air, to change the rain to snow, right over an area, that stretched for hundreds of miles. Where I was, the temperature dropped exactly enough, down to 32°, and the snow piled up very rapidly. In 4 hours, we'd already picked up several inches of snow, in a comparatively short time.
This is why I stress, that you should never, ever underestimate the Weather.
You never know what surprises it may have for you!

Exactly. Why this guy isn't reporting this is insane. It will move more to he north making impact somewhere along the southern or southern eastern gulf coast.
