kimi talked more here than he did in his entire time on the drive to survive series
He talked here more than his entire F1 career 😂😂😂
@@aliberregad3147 pretty sure the most i ever heard kimi talk was seb doing impressions of kimi. 😂
He lives driving the car . But despises the media part man.
Just had the same thoughts , funny but real.
that's what made me click on it! talking can be such a boring nuisance sometimes!
I wouldn’t be here watching if it wasn’t for Kimi. Bravo track house for bringing new eyes to nascar.
I hope you come back next week. The way that qualifying for the knockout rounds of the NASCAR Championship works is that wins are prioritized over points racing. There are 16 spots for the first knockout round that starts in two weeks and 15 drivers have won races this year so any driver not already in the playoffs can qualify with a win and the Daytona race course is famous for exciting and unpredictable races.
I recommend finding video of the end of the 2022 NASCAR race at Circuit of the Americas, the Texas F1 track.
The stages shit drives me nuts. I need to research it more maybe, people say it's better this way
@@tractorback76 It drives most NASCAR fans nuts as well. It's to create artificial drama.
Go kimi go kimi go kimi if you cant do it no one can go kimi go kimi 👏 👍
Kimi can single handedly bring F1 fans to NASCAR
For the record. He also said Bwoah. So that’s a good sign.
How can you not wish these guys good luck ? Justin & Trackhouse have brought a new feeling of optimism to the track with the performance of the larger big named teams. Kimi didn't become Champion of the world by being shy, his talent, intelligence and personality put him on a short list with the all-time greats of motorsports.
Trackhouse and Justin has been such a great addition to nascar just him alone will help spread nascar across the globe just with this project 91 car and bring in a lot more interest into the sport I can’t wait to see who they bring for the next project 91 entry
Have had very, very little interest in NASCAR until KIMI. Legend.
Finn here, Kimi is a long-time national hero. He had a lot more to say here than he usually does and he appears more comfortable and relaxed. I'm guessing the NASCAR atmosphere is far less uptight compared to F1 especially a guy who just wants to race and enjoy himself and I'm all for that.
I wish Kimi all the best and hope he has a blast!
He's very chatty today lol
From the UK here - you can’t keep him to yourself. He’s an international hero and an international treasure :)
As an American I'm honored hes here.
@DiktatrSquid
That is propably part of it but also I think it helps that Kimi is there on his own terms. He knows the media sircus will be only for one event and then he can go back to ignoring media. He said beforehand in the interview with Finnish media that it saa nice that he could have said no to that event (but didn't obiviously) while on F1 you cannot really say no vety often.
Welcoming Kimi back after a decade or so is wonderful! I loved seeing him help Alfa grow after leaving the Scudderia, and this would be an ENORMOUS positive for NASCAR and Motorsport globally. Now we need a Southern Hemisphere series to watch during the F1/NASCAR winter breaks!
I would have zero interest in nascar if it wasn't for Kimi racing. Kimi is a legend.
I'm American fan of Formula 1, and yesterday's Nascar race was the first Nascar race I've watched in about 20 years ONLY because Kimi was in it.
Kimi always wanted to drive the safety car!
Awesome to see Kimi having a go.
Kimi. Saying the same answer 10 different ways.
Love kimi hahaha
Answering the same 10 questions
@@DarwinWJ74 Exactly. Notice that when asked about his family and their experience at Watkins Glen, Kimi opened up.
5:22 "why not" interview moment
That guys question was fuckiinnggg dumbbbbbb
How can you not love Kimi?
The typical ego-based questions made me laugh. Kimi doesn't have an ego. Kimi races for himself, to have fun and to challenge himself. Not to add anything to his trophy cabinet or bolster his Ego. That's the Kimi way
Leave Kimi alone, he know what he doing”
"They contacted, I think was last year at some point, and then he kind of left it alone for a while..."
So Kimi was left alone and then he obliged 😄
It speaks volumes about the difference between F1 culture and NASCAR. Kimi elaborated, smiled, and didn’t wear sunglasses. Mic drop.
That is the most I ever did hear Kimi talk 😉🏆
KIMI did talk A LOT for him. I've always liked him especially with Seb at Ferrari. I love Justin as an owner. I'm a fan of him and his drivers
This 91 PROJECT is the best thing in Nascar in a long time not counting the new gen car. Best of luck
Justin - great vision! Kimi - welcome to my neck of the woods. My dad took me to the Glen back in the 60's. Having lived long enough, the combination of nostalgia(s) is an awesome thrill to get to witness. Thanks to all involved!
I like this initiative from Trackhouse. Never heard of this team before as I do not follow Nascar, but this seems a good way to get the rest of the world interested in US racing series. I followed Alonso's adventures in the US and now Kimi.
I would like to see more Americans in action in European racing series. Logan Sergeant, Pato O'Ward and Colton Herta are US drivers I follow. They have potential to make a mark in F1. There must be many more.
At least Project91 got one more European interested in Nascar.
I'm following them too. I'm hoping Mick has a better second half of the season. Starting at Spa
Pato O’Ward is actually Mexican but yeah he lives in the US 👍
@@mamavswild you are right. I forgot. The O'Ward name probably made me forget that he is from Mexico.
I doubt very much Kimi would know any names of the Nascar drivers, but they sure as hell know who he is!
i love seeing athletes crossover into diff... sports? or categories of their own sport.
Painful to hear so many stupid questions. I feel Kimi is doing a great job not losing his patience with the ridiculousness of the Q&A. Kim such a legend and like many people commenting many of us are here because of KR and we love to see him do well
I would love to see him run good or even beat Denny for a win.
That would make my world today.
Good to see Kimi run thank you track house for bring him.
When I grow up I wanna be Kimi.
Great Job at the Glen Kimi, I hope he's doing well in Formula 1.
Have to love kimi
"Very exciting" says Kimi in almost a whisper. lol
I hope he had fun
Justin Marks is the future of Nascar! Saying this as a lifelong 43 fan. I love everything his team does to get new eyes on the sport. Chastain is a dumbass but he is damn exciting as his Melon Head character. Kimi was the perfect guy to start project 91. Riccardo or Vettel next year?
Kimi was complaining of understeer in the car.
If they can dial that out he can win. Simple as that.
@NolanEP Ok man. Kimi is the driver, more than any maybe in the history of motorsport, whose performance changes in unimaginable ways if you just get rid of understeer on corner entry. He likes a ridiculously sharp front end. And his pace transforms. They need to be focusing on doing that irrespective of where you think he should be running.
@NolanEP sit in the passengers seat while kimi does a rally stage and ur tune may change. I.e. juan pablo Montoya won a road course just after coming to nascar. Kimi is a much better driver than juan. On the ovals, ur point stands. The nex gen car change also suits circuit courses much more than in the past.
I love how Nascar fans think of their sport being "da bezt seeriez" and looking down on other series 🤣 are you aware that Finns begin competing in extreme conditions, not only in karting, but rallies and even tractors?
Man, the gall of you Murraycans 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@NolanEP
It is true that Kimi has small chances to winning because the other guys are doing this for living.
BUT you might find my next comment controversial: I think Kimi has better chances to finish high than the Max V. you mentioned. Not to rain on his parade as reigning F1 world champion but Kimi is still awesome driver who just didn't have competitive cars in most of his second stint in F1. More importantly even Kimi is known from his adaptability. Everyone who has worked with him in racing side has said that you can give him anything with 4 wheels (of even 2 wheels maybe) and after a moment he will be able to drive it pretty comfortably. It seems to be because he has pretty natural feel for machines and what they are doing. Many other drivers it takes lot longer to adapt to different machines even if the change isn't as big and even if after getting used to it, they could beat Kimi with it. That all is not to say that he hasn't his preferences on cars like anyone has.
I'm here for Kimi but I appreciate the seeming "zero tolerance" for drama from Justin. That's possibly one of the top reasons Kimi agreed to it. If you know nothing about Kimi just know the man hates drama. He just wants to drive and will make anyone who tries to create drama with him look foolish.
This is the most I've seen/heard Kimi Raikkonen speak in public in years. Hahaha. Mr 'Leave me alone' Kimi is known as a man of few words.
YUSSSS KIMI!!! GO GET SOME SPEED BROTHER 😊😀😆😊😀😆 KICK ASS BRO
Did kimi get the drink? Thats all that matters here!
Oh Kimi 😊
It was a bit of a pity that he was bowled out of the race.
Hopefully there will be another chance for him to show his skills!
Kimi is the best.
Would like to see Nascar in Europe on tracks like Spa, Silverstone and Imola
Old Nurburgring.
I love and respect Kimi, he needs to join WEC or IMSA instead, Alonso Montoya Senna Prost Piquet & Barrichello have. Imagine Kimi at 24hr Le Mans & Nürburgring, Bahrain and 24 Spa, being the F1 Spa king.....
Someone please link me to where I can buy an official team shirt that he's wearing.
Justin did mention Merch opportunities so I guess we'll be able to buy one soon.
Personally, I’d love a diecast.
I tried to buy a tiny Indycar diecast
80usd shipping
So I hope the shipping is reasonable
Cuz I ain't paying that for a tshirt
Justin seems to be off the ❄️ haha
5:22 Classic Kimi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wish someone had asked if he was invited to and BBQ's in the drivers lot?
Mwwaaaaa...steering wheel come on steering wheel gloves come on i know what i'm doing..such a shame he doesn't race f1 anymore. what a unique guy
Im all pretty much all about track house moter sports
With Daniel suarez
Kimi: "Hey kids! for the school holidays we are going to America!"
Kids: "Yay!"
Also Kimi: "Yeah, I'm gonna drive NASCAR whilst we are there"
I'm hoping kimi finishes headed of hamlin
wow this is the longest I have seen Kimi speak hahahaha and is not being sarcastic either!!! man so many oportunities hahahaha
Kimi always wanted to drive the safety car!
Kimi is a little more talkative these days.
Kimi can do interviews really well, but after 20 years in F1. His personality as a Finn and the getting the same questions , he does not like giving answers to obvious questions/answers. Interview Kimi and ask intersting questions or anything that has not been asked 20 times before you are gonna get a good answer.
I think the thing he liked least about f1 was the pompous nature of it. Nascar seems more planted and down to earth, fits his personality more. And thats coming from somebody who watched F1 since the mid 90s
@@cliffthelightning yeah F1 is more how to say glamorous, billions of dollars in the sport, lots of pressure, lots of media presence, he wants to race and be done with other things I guess and NASCAR provides that, sure its a serious series, lots of competition but its more relaxed and focused on racing rather than constant marketing of the team, media presence etc.
He tried trucks a few years back with top equipment and went home with his tail between his legs. Let's see how he does against the best in the world driving big cars, not those F1 slot cars.
Update- the road racing specialist couldn't keep up with a bunch of good ol' boys who use road courses as a break between the real racing.
Hopefully nobody missed JM calling Indy a Mickey Mouse track/event 🤣
Imagine vettel coming to nascar
Bwoah
I wanted to buy Kimis hat… until I saw the price… $50 hat plus shipping
These guys need to livin-up. It's like somebody died.
Seems as if Ericsson and now jenson button want to give it a go now ...im betting we see more f1 drivers on the r.c's I. The future
How did this track house guy get all his money
Tha' loquacious..'bwoah..an' mwoah'..Finn..the champ of chit chat colloquy..Kimi.. 'I do enjoy a chin-wag now an' then'.. Rai-kko-nen..Boom!
Too bad he got wrecked, a top 10 finish was right there
I bet our boy is tired of talking. :D Let him rest a bit.
He sounds like he’s doing a fourmula one press conference. Very quiet and professional. Show some personality kimi.
Lol.. that’s Kimi at his most comfortable and optimistic about this race
Guessing you haven't met very many Fins. That's how their demeanor is
That's just kimi mate
@a. corman, never met a fin in my life. Never even talked to one online. I expected them to be more like the Swedes but I was for sure wrong
@connor bingel
Never tell a Finn they are like Swedes, that's like worst insult ever 😂
All (half?) joking aside, we are totally different "breed" than Scandinavian countries. Lot darker and quieter. Except we have most metalbands per capita but even that fits kinda the brooding mood of our country 😁
And yes, Kimi talked a lot and showed personality by deflecting ego questions. In F1 it was just few words out of him at a time. 😃
Esse Kimi se acha muito tbm
Proof that Kimi hates F1 media crew only
2:10 team mate gets bored and plays with phone , lol.
Kimi smokes high grade -
Sorry but kimi won't finish anywhere near top 15..Cars are way to different. This had been tried over and over and never works
@Travis lmao.Europeans hate America.let alone nascar..
Watch him wanker
Kimi might not finish on top 15 but if anyone has chances to that, it's Kimi since his adaptability to different 4 wheeled things is rare kind. 🙂
Counterpoint: Daytona 500 winner Mario Andretti.
@@pigs18 also Aj foot and others have won.But not in a road course form.ovals don't take much talent to figure out.hold the pedal down and turn left
Waste of a seat for a NASCAR driver to me.
