That player guide is amazing. I'm gonna link it. I also have a round tracker I made that helps too. We got distracted by kids and messed up rounds.

The rules say that Botankhamun advance the Happiness marker one step at a time.
You should have put out the cards in the green section as soon as the bot's population marker reached it. Population marker reaches new section = fill that section with cards. Happiness marker reaches new section = cards in that section can be acquired. (Page 18 of the rulebook)
That is correct! This was already mentioned in the Klingon subtitles at 8:58.

@17:44 that statue should have gone on Ra, not on Horus, because the die you took was a 6, and Ra is the #6 god. (page 24 of the rule book)
