Great video! I received my game last Thursday and got it to table yesterday along with your video. It takes me a cpl days to get through the long playthroughs. One thing I noticed is that the solo scheme cards for my game are a bit different than yours. I'm struggling with remembering all these rules and options but it's such a great game! I'm probably going to play 2 handed until I get these rules sunk into my brain. I always look for your playthroughs first when I get a new game to learn. I'm mostly a solo player. Thanks again!

54:07 Great runthrough as always. I just played my first solo game, and I’m rewatching this to see what rules I may have missed, but I think I found one you missed. When you take one of the 3 hero cards, you don’t necessarily get all 3 bonuses. In round 1, you only get the first bonus. In round 2, you get the first and second. In round 3, you get all 3 bonuses.

Good work! I am on the same page as you, I have no desire to do head-to-head battle. But I am a Disney person and I got roped into the artwork and solo/co-op is such a game changer. I am also rubbish at deck building but this will entice me to at least try it. I do wish it is an LCG vs. CCG, however it did benefit me because I got some hand-me-down cards from a hardcore friend.

@24:30 You don't skip a circumstance for landing on a quest. You only skip Circumstance on City, Boss, Shrine, Ruin.

Loving the playthrough, but I have three notes. (1) At 24:00 your Enemy Token was on the Fortune Teller, so per page 15 of the rulebook, when you defeated her, "Option 'a' must be chosen for both the Loot and Rumor steps." So you had no options but to take the 2 gold shown on the card and also the Fortune Teller card to your hand as a Rumor. No substitutions - "Dead Strangers reveal no secrets!" So, sorry, no Pet Monkey (Ally) Rumor. (2) At 29:10, you get a Loot token when you Clear an obstacle or a Plot. (3) For the skill choice at your first Regale (35:23), I would've chosen Scryer over Jujitsu. The former only saves you from one (potential) wound once per turn of skirmishing - if that would make the difference between winning and losing a skirmish, you've got bigger problems, and you'll also be using your Regeneration soon anyway. However, it can be annoying later in the game when your clock is running out and you can't uncover an Encounter that gives you that last keyword that you need - that's when Scryer pays off for you, as you can check two encounters when Moving onto a Badlands space or Searching a Badlands space. In addition, page 8 of the rulebook has charts showing keywords for Rewards and Encounters that may help you find that elusive keyword you need. Good luck against the Bishop!

I don't know if you mentioned this in your video or if you already knew it. Because you can see the numbers on the back of the solo tiles, you have an idea of what action the first solo player is going to take. Example: if 0 (2) is showing on the back of the tile, the solo player is going to take the Hire Employee action (of course if this is already occupied you won't know what the next action is going to be except for the cubes that are already in play). Not sure if this effects game play but I believe it would. The tiles have 3 that have a 1, 2 tiles with a 2, 2 tiles with 0(1) and 1 tile with the example above. I didn't see any discussion in the rule book about this with testing, will take a look at BGG forum. Thanks for the playthrough, enjoyable as always. 😀

Suggestion: you could play at level 2. Also, now you may want to examine you decks and become familiar with the combos look up if the mulligan rule applies to this game. (That may get you a better starting hand)

Can you Trade clues between players that are at different locations?

Very nice video, and game. I've not seen this one before. I wonder how the game would play if instead of using a timer, the player would use a set number of rolls, like 10 per round. The number of rolls could also be determined by the number of aliens on the board. This way the player has time to put more strategy into his moves. Just asking if this could be a possible option.

I'm kind of late to the game, but I really love abstract games. Looks like a cool puzzle, and I think it would take a minute to figure out how to plan. Have you played Harmonies? Do you have a favorite of the two?

Our sand timer tips after 4 small gems or one small and one large nearly every time. We have never got anywhere close to getting all gems in the bucket!! I cannot see how we can assemble incorrectly, has anyone else had a similar problem, it makes the game about unbeatable.

There are currently 9 pre constructed decks, that you could try against Ursula. I’m surprised that you didn’t do this with Marty, but I assume it was because of limited space. Thanks for the demo! I really enjoy this game. I am still waiting for my Ursula booster boxes and starter decks to arrive and have not been able to find this co op game as of yet. Yes, I do hope they put out more villian decks out! I would like to see Captain Hook, Jafar, Maleficent, and Queen of Hearts next!

If any lacerda assistent is kicked out you have to reduce a ticket. Not only when you kick him out. If 2 or more ticket types are at the same level you have to reduce EACH of these ticket typed. This reduces the game lenght by far. This is at least the rule in the german rulebook. 😢

The co-op mode looks great, but I just can't be bothered with collectable card games. It's like loot boxes for board games. 🙁

27:50. I don’t think you can reactivate the elder on this turn to get +2 red banners. They’re used only once, on the turn you play them.

I wouldn't have flooded the board quite so much, although I'm more risk averse re: board wipes and bounces.

At 11:47 you travel 2 spaces, which costs you 2 money. I thought the first movement was free.

at 11:20 the Hidden Library is supposed to come into play unrevealed... I played the return to this scenario on 2 handed solo and still easy as sweet. Carcosa has some of the weirdest balance of all arkham campaigns imo
