Moving models and more between two ETHOS transmitters

In this video we check out how to transfer modes, audio, LUA, and bitmaps between ETHOS transmitters. This is particularly useful if you have changed or upgraded transmitters. The moving process is pretty simple. But make sure that your moved models work as expected before flying. Especially if moving between transmitters that have different switches and buttons. You will likely need to re-register and re-bind your receivers.

Mr.D, Really love all your videos. They have been very helpful to me. I transferred all 10 of my models from my X20s to my X20 Pro using my Mac. It worked perfectly except the first 5 special functions on each model was not copied over. These were play track functions for 3 rates and timer on & reset. I reentered these on each model and all is ok now. I assume this ia a known issue that will be corrected in a future upgrade. Have you encountered this problem?
Any reason you could not use the backup/restore in Ethos Suite? Just curious, great video as usual

Yes, its the same.
any reason why after the updates you can't take the SD card out of the 20s and put it into the 20pro and then just move the files over to the onboard memory of the pro ?
You can. But, you can only move 1 model at a time. So it’s extremely slow. If you only have a couple of models, it is an option. But any more than say 5, and I’d just use the computer. It will be so much faster.
Hey Daren! This is kind of off subject to the video, however I wanted it to have a better chance of reaching you. I’m new to FRSKY coming from specktrum. I really appreciate all your videos they have helped me tremendously!! There is some figuring out to do for sure but I feel like I have a good shot at it with you helpful videos so thank you!! I am currently having issues with setting up
My reverse thrust switch on channel 7 of a freewing avanti v2. Any ideas? I get a response when I hold the switch and it reverses the motor but when I get to half throttle or so it cuts out. On my output screen both sides of the come together and when they reach the middle it cuts out. Maybe you can understand that lol any help would be great!! I’m using the x20s thanks again!
Need help...I have a hard time to add lua script into my tendrm x20hd transmitter.....my script only appears in SD card not at my external module.....any advise
I wish to move models from horus x10s express, I have the models saved on pc as bin files so i assume i can just drop the files into the x20pro. or does something have to be done first as they were taken directly from the horus system?
Hi Mick. Unfortunately not. FROS and OpenTX models are not compatible with ETHOS. Unless your X10S was using the ETHOS firmware. You will need to reprogram the models.
Any word if ethos suite is going to allow for editing of model files? I know there is a button for it, just wondering if you have any additional info?
No, I don’t have any more info. It will be coming. But, I have no idea on time.
Can you not just use ethos suite,back up and restore ?

That's really good news as I've got quite a few receivers burried in some gliders.
As long as you rename your new radio the same name as the old no register is nessesary.
