Hello! I love that I’m always learning in the plant world, and this is new! I really like the concept though, and I saw 2yrs ago you were having great success in the polyester yarn, curious why now you went to this and also curious what food you give them, and also if it’s what you use for your begonias or if there’s multiple plant foods you use, maybe make a video on it all?!
@@WES10. hello there. Polyester is totally fine too. I just started sticking to acrylic, as it’s easier to get ahold of and the brand I have locally holds and wicks moisture easily. A lot of the videos have the different feeds I use. There’s also a link in the description with some of the ones I use. Bettergro orchid works well for me for water and yarn growing plants. 😃👍🏼

Hi Paul. I haven’t checked this myself but are there any other CZcamsrs who grow plants in acrylic yarn. It’s so unique and certainly not something I’ve ever seen before I discovered your channel. The only other question I can think of is how you go about repotting when the plant outgrows its container. I made the mistake of trying to remove the roots from the yarn. They were very fine roots to start with so it didn’t go so well.
As far as I know, no one else does this. When I repot, I repot into more acrylic yarn so I do t have to disturb the roots. I’ve never replaced into another medium since it works so well for me. Transferring to semi hydro should be fine too if you keep most of the yarn intact. Otherwise you can start over with new cuttings as another option, if you need to repot into a different medium. 😃👍🏼🪴
Hey Paulie!! I have a question about transferring my Hoya to acrylic yarn. Is there a size limit? Hmm, I can't add pics here. I'll send you a pic when I get home if the one I want to do. It's in a 6" ceramic pot right now. Love the double " see you later " 😁

@@cindyjohnsen326 😃🤗. It really depends how big you want your vessel. Hoya are great in the acrylic yarn cause you can either keep a reservoir at the bottom, or let it dry between waterings. Mine have experienced both and they’re doing great. About how big is your Hoya? If you can, send a pic over at Etsy. 🪴. Hope you’re ok tonight!!! If you need to vent, I’m always around!!!
