      You cannot show tuner on FCB screen, only on Kemper screen.

    Hi Konstantin,
    Thanks for you guide, it really helped me in getting started with this pedalboard. I actually had no idea about what to do.
    I configured the first 5 presets of a perfomance with pedals 1-5 and they work correctly. Then I tried to configure the volume pedal in the same way you did for preset #1, the "switch 1" led activated but it just doesn't work. Any suggestions? Do I have to tweak some Kemper setting?

    Hi Friend ! Julian again. I have another question. If I want to set up a DELAY for example, but I wish turn on it with the pedal number 6, and then I want to turn off it with the same pedal (Number 6 again) How I should do ? Now, when I want to turn off the stomp boxes or MOD or DELAY independently, I have to press the program botton and everything get off. EXAMPLE: PEDAL 1 (HI GAIN) when I press PEDAL 7 MOD IS TURN ON - when I press PEDAL 6 DELAY is TURN ON... If I want in this moment just turn off the MOD, I CAN'T, and I need pressing again PEDAL 1 AGAIN and put MOD with pedal 7.

    • @konstantinilin
      @konstantinilin  Před 7 lety +1

      Yeah, this is not possible. That is the one limitation without specialized chip. You need to press either program pedal again to reset to original settings of the preset or to use two different pedals: 1 for switch on, 1 to switch off.

    • @barrettjulian
      @barrettjulian Před 7 lety +2

      Friend ! I have great news for you, I just result the riddle !!!!
      It is possible without de special chip. I tell you how.
      Example: Will suppose that you have setting a DELAY in a pedal number 8. Well, You are sending this information with 6 in the value 20 and some value more than 00 with the expression pedal... then you hold numer 7, push again 7 and light sarting blinking, you select value 20 again , then you push UP and push de expressión pedal to 00. NOW WHEN YOU PUSH THE PEDAL 8 WILL THE DELAY TURN OFF ! Try it !!!!!!!!!

    • @konstantinilin
      @konstantinilin  Před 7 lety +2

      Ok, so as I understand in that setup FCB will be sending two control messages to Kemper every time you press: one with 00, one >00. I actually tried this couple years ago. But it didn't work. Basically what happens - Kemper receives two messages simultaneously to switch delay on and off. I suppose they have implemented the code to handle this situation correctly, if it works for you now! Good to know, mate! Kemper guys are doing great job in firmware! Thanks for letting me know.

    Thanks for this great tutorial! Just one question: The stompboxes that I have configured for my performance are all switched off once I save the performance to a button on the Behringer. Does that mean that I have to configure all the stompboxes seperately like you showed in your second video? My idea was that for example the compressor is always on with the performance and I could add a boost if I want by configuring button 8 for example. Thanks a million, again!

    • @konstantinilin
      @konstantinilin  Před 3 lety

      Hi, I'm glad that it is still helpful even though it's been a while :)
      The initial state of the performance can be saved. And when you switch to that performance later that state will be restored. So if you want the compressor to be always on, just enable it and then save the performance.

    • @JW-ne6qg
      @JW-ne6qg Před 3 lety

      @@konstantinilin Thanks for your super fast reply. Unfortunately it doesn't work that way. The compressor is on until I press UP for the last time to save the changes (Step 8). This goes for all effects in front of the amp in the signal chain. On the other hand, reverb, delay etc. after the amp stay on. Strange, isn't it?

    • @JW-ne6qg
      @JW-ne6qg Před 3 lety +1

      OK, I found the bug :-) It's in the rig manager! Storing the stomp box there isn't enough, it has to be stored in the perfonmance on the Kemper itself, then it isn't turned off when stored.

    • @konstantinilin
      @konstantinilin  Před 3 lety

      I usually modify performances in the Kemper unit itself. I use Rig Manager occasionally if I want to browse through many profiles.

      +Ed Mehrzad Hi, thanks for the feedback!
      Sure, the controller will work the same way and you can apply same configurations. Though in Browser mode you have to do one extra step:
      - go to Browse Mode PrgChg page in System settings and select the Program number for the rig.
      In Performance mode they are assigned to performance slots already and in Browser mode you have to assign them to rigs manually.
      To get to this menu press SYSTEM hardware button, navigate to page 7 (in my firmware 3.0.2, might be different number of page in other versions).
      I have assigned QUICK hardware button to open this page, so I can access it very fast.
      Hope it helps! =)

    3- chunky gain tone
    4- lead sound
    Etc.
    But for different songs in a set list I can move up the bank to number 2:
    And do the same again.
    1-clean with some chorus and delay.
    2- chunky gain.
    3- lead tone with delay

    How do you do a performance change with the controller, just a bank?

  • @BenvanGeest
    @BenvanGeest Před 8 lety

    Thanks a lot for the explanation on how to programme the Behringer FCB1010! This was extremely helpful.
    However - is it true that you can only add two stomp box effects per bank? Let's say I want to add a delay on controller button 8 on bank 00. Then I'll set it to on, on button 7. Then I will add a reverb and I set it to button 7 and set it to on on button 6. However, when I try to add an effect on let's say button 9 it no longer works because 9 will have a different configuration now. In other words - it seems you can only use effect stomp boxes on button 6-8 and in reality this means only two stomp box effects effectively per bank. Is this correct? Thanks!

    • @konstantinilin
      @konstantinilin  Před 8 lety

      Hi, thanks for kind words. Each pedal in bank can send 2 stombox control messages at the same time. So, with th each pedal you can control two stompboxes at the same time. So it is two stompboxes per pedal, not per bank. In one bank each pedal is capable of changing presets as well as stompboxes. Does it make sense to you?

    • @BenvanGeest
      @BenvanGeest Před 8 lety

      Thank you for your response! Much appreciated. Well, you see - when I apply both a reverb and a delay for let's say pedal 1, then for pedal 2 the same two effects are already applied as well. So, I don't know what's going wrong here. That's why I thought maybe there's a maximum of two effects per bank instead of per pedal. Do you know what I mean?

    • @konstantinilin
      @konstantinilin  Před 8 lety

      Ben van Geest What do you mean by "for pedal two effects are already applied"? And what configuration do you have for pedal two? I mean, which functions did you configure on it?

    • @BenvanGeest
      @BenvanGeest Před 8 lety

      What I mean is this: when I apply two effects for pedal one (for example a delay and a reverb) and I want to apply two effects on pedal two then the effects I already applied for pedal one are ALSO applied for pedal two. SO, when I want to edit the effects on pedal two I ALSO change the effects for pedal one. This is obviously not what I want. So, now it seems I can't edit effects separately from pedal to pedal you see?

    • @konstantinilin
      @konstantinilin  Před 8 lety

      How exactly do you apply effects to pedals? What do you change?

  • @Hucho
    @Hucho Před 7 lety

    Hi Constantin,
    First of all many thanks. A while ago I programmed every slot till performance number 12. Now I wanted to program it further with your videos and then what happened: I want to program performance number #61 in bank 03 on the FCB1010 using footswitch number 6 on the FCB
    I do this: while having a LED red on footswitch 6 and bank 03 on I press and hold down once. Then I press up once. Then I press the footswitch 6 once so it starts blinking. Then I press up once. Then I type 61 and press up. Then for some reason 61 starts blinking once again on value 1 so I press 61 once again and press up again. And then I hold down and I'm back but for some reason it doesn't work. It doesn't sent 61 to the kemper :(
    Could you help me out ?

    • @konstantinilin
      @konstantinilin  Před 7 lety

      So here're your steps:
      1) hold 6 in bank 3 to edit pedal dettings
      2) Press Up
      3) Press 6
      4) Press Up
      5) Type 61
      etc...
      The mistake is on step 3. After step 1 and 2 you are in the pedal 6 settings. Now you need to choose what message to send. To change banks you need Program Change message. You want pedals 1 or 2. Pedal 6 sends Control Change messages.
      So try to all the same actions but on step 3 press pedal 1.
      Btw, since you've already changed you settings for pedal 6 in banks 3, when you get to step 3 you'll notice that pedal 6 is lit. Make it switch off. I think you should hold pedal 6 to make the light shut down. This will prevent controller from sending wrong Control Change messages to your Kemper.
