hey man! i just ordered a kemper power rack + behringer fcb 1010 yesterday. i´m so glad you uploaded this, because it answers nearly all my questions right away =) ! so thank you very much! but i´ve one thing to ask: if i configure the fcb1010 the way i want, where is it saved? are the settings of the pedals and buttons saved in the fcb or in the kemper-profile? and if they are in the fcb, can i backup/restore them somehow externally (if the board brokes or something)? greetings and rock on !

Hi mate! Good to know it is helpful! Great projects btw! If you've managed to configure Wah and Volume pedals Whammy will be very easy for you! As I remember Wah works on channel 01 and Volume - 07. So do everything what you do to configure Wah, but instead of choosing 01 in controller settings set 04. All these numbers you can find in Kemper documentation. I'm not revealing any sacred knowledge here ;) In Kemper setup one of stompboxes - select effects called Pedal Pitch or Pedal Vinyl Stop. Let me know if it helped.
Hi misterlampi! By some reason I can't reply under your comment, so I'll answer here. Configurations you do on FCB will be stored in the controller. You can sync it with PC application via 2 MIDI cabels. Just google 'FCB1010 PC application' and pick some.

Hi Martin, you're right in each bank you can configure each button to different profile. Also you can configure each button to one preset in performance mode. Which is very handy, cause each performance in Kemper contains 5 presets and FCB has two rows 5 buttons each. About the amount of banks - you'd better download the user guide. I don't have the controller at the moment and I don't remember from the top of my head.

Hi! When expression pedal is enabled in FCB the main setting is the first value you input in setting - the channel used for pedal. Use 07 for volume, 01 for WAH and 04 for Pedal Bend.Does any other control works like profile change?

From your question I have a feeling you're not clear on how it works. Or I just didn't understand it. Program Change is a type of MIDI message FCB can send. Control Change is another type of message it can send. Each pedal can send either of these messages or both at the same time. When you choose a pedal and enter Edit Mode you choose types of messages this pedal sends. If you choose CC only, it will control stomp but not profile change.

+mflo blade Hi. Let me first answer the last question, since it's simple - yes you can. And I think I tell how to achieve it in this video. Basically, in Kemper in Wah settings you need to select Pedal Mode 'Bypass @ Stop'. Which means, Wah will be bypassed when pedal stops moving. Unfortunately, now I cannot record videos about FCB. I've moved to Ireland and had to sell most of my equipment. I have Kemper, of course, but I don't have FCB anymore. Sorry about that.

Hi Konstantin, I tried to configure an expression pedal for Wah but when I select the button I want to use on the top row it changes the Kemper to a different Performance Patch :( What am I doing wrong?
Hi Graham! As I understand you assigned one of the buttons to enable wah pedal. It does switch the preset because there is Program Change message assigned to that same button. You need to go to the edit mode of this pedal and disable all Program Change butyons - from 1 to 5. The leds for those should not be lit. Let me know if the explanation is clear.
Konstantin Ilin I probbaly didnt explain myself clearly haha! In your video when you want to select the pedal to turn on the wah pedal you press 10 before going into edit mode. When I do this, it changes my kemper to a completely different performance mode. I must be doing something simple wrong?
It means that Program Change message is assigned to pedal 10. You need to go to edit mode and disable it. I.e. You should do whay I described in the previous reply.
Argh...I've completely ruined it now. Somehow pedal 3 is changing to profile one in performance mode. Is there a way to reset the entire thing and start again?
Hello, Yes it is. select the Button which you want send the control change number. When you need to select which type of Midi Signal you want to send, select both 6 (Control 1) and 7 (Control 2) until the LED's of both are lightning. Then select e.g. 6 until it's LED is flashing. Enter. Set the Control Change number and then add value of 00. After that select the other Control Change (for this example 7) until the LED is flashing. Here you select the same Control change number but take value of 127. The Kemper should now switch ON/OFF the stompbox you selected. This worked for me ;) Greetz from Austria

Hi. Sure FCB1010 works with any Kemper - powered and unpowered, head and rack. There is no difference.

is it possible to programm the fcb so to press (for example) 8 again to disable module C? so I don't need to press 2
It is not. To achieve that you need to install one of the chips.
