  • This video demos the EurekaPROM 2 e-prom for the Behringer FCB1010 MIDI Foot Controller.
    In this video we use the EurekaPROM 2 in '11' mode for the Avid Eleven Rack.
    The EurekaPROM 2, by Eureka Sound!, replaces the previous Eureka Prom v.1 models.
    The EurekaPROM 2 is MORE OF EVERYTHING!
    More customized configurations - not only does the EurekaPROM 2 include configurations for the same effect units as the v.1 EurekaPROM (Eleven Rack, POD, and many more), but it adds configurations for the Kemper Profiling Amp, and the AXE-FX II!
    More Modes - The EurekaPROM 2 adds a new mode called "Effects and Presets".
    In this mode, you can change rigs and control effects - no need to switch modes!
    More Improvements - The EurekaPROM 2 contains several improvements, like an improved Programmable Mode, and improvements in Favorite Presets Mode!
    All of that, tied with the incredible price, means MORE VALUE!
    With the EurekaPROM 2, you don't have to spend time trying to figure out how to program your Behringer FCB1010. Simply install the EurekaPROM 2, then....... oh yeah, THAT'S IT!
    Everything has already been programmed for you in a logical way. Just choose your configuration and get back to actually playing music, not programming!
    However, if you are the type that likes delving in to the world of MIDI programming, you can do that too, in the Programmable Mode.
    The EurekaPROM 2 is made by Eureka Sound, check out the EurekaPROM, and their other products, like the Buitar/Baitar on their website and CZcams Channel

    Just installed my Eureka Prom in my Behenger FCB1010. Easy! And it works very well. Only took about 15min for the whole process.
    Fast shipping too. Thanks!

    Thank you very much for the great video! I really like the "EP" mode. But does "EP" mode only limit me to 5 favorites? I have 8 favorites that I want to use in a live gig but want to avoid having to switch over to "FP" mode to get to the other 3. Also when I try to access the extra 3 tones in "FP" mode I wont have the option of changing effects from that mode.

    NOTE - Behave intelligently! Don't take the chip out of the foam until you are ready to install it. Doing so may set you up for bending the contacts, dropping it or whatever. Also, this thing is full of electronics. Do not be like this guy and start randomly poling stuff with a screwdriver, touching leads, prongs, components or whatnot. You do not want to accidentally damage something. The best tool is a plastic "spudger", which is designed for this purpose.

  • @JFairweather
    @JFairweather Před 5 lety +3

    Whenever that screwdriver gets anywhere near the circuitry I have a heart attack. It is very easy to fry things. Never use a screwdriver. Use a "spludger" - a plastic (non-conductive and non-scratching) prying tool designed for this. They are dirt cheap and are available from electronics supply stores or places such as macsales.com and ifixit.com. Also, make sure to work on a static-free surface, to touch your hand to a ground such as a faucet to discharge any static, and make sure not to create a charge by shuffling on a carpet (a distinct possibility in dry weather or in winter when the central heat has been cranking).

      So, probably not a good idea to handle ICs while wearing your Snuggie in bed under fleece blankets.

    May be a little late to the party but I just bought a used 11r and an fcb1010. Also, bought a Eureka v3.2 and looking to swap out the EProms but haven't found any videos for this other than the setup from Eureka. Is there anything different I can look forward to from this last video? Any updates from Eureka with this new prom that can be shared? Thanks

    @stepitupandgo67 Před 8 lety

    do you need the midi looped like that? I would assume you'd only need the midi out from the fcb 1010 to the midi in of the eleven rack...the pedal isn't receiving any midi messages, is it? only sending,..yeah?

      elposito I just purchased the fcb1010 to control bias fx and or guitar rig 5 for recording purposes. Not sure yet if I need to upgrade the chip. I would also like to know if this chip would save me some programming time.

    Nice demo...I have the stock firmware, and I’m having a weird problem. Any chance you could help? I’ve got switches 1 and 2 active, sending CCs to turn on or off stomps. If I press 2, it turns on a stomp. Then if I press 1, it turns on another stomp. THEN if I press 2 again, nothing happens. You would think it would turn that stomp off. If I press it yet again, then it turns the stomp off. 🤔

      @BenoniStudio  Před 5 lety

      If I remember, there is something about the way the Eleven Rack uses MIDI CC, if you ask the Eureka Prom guys they can tell you more. If you have the stock Behringer Prom, come here and download a preset file for the Eleven Rack duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=327377

    Hi guys. Newbie question. I got an old FCB1010 very cheap my plan being to use it as a controller for my Line 6 Helix floor. Mainly because I want to try and protect the Helix as I play in some very small venues without a stage, the odd drunkard occasionally stumbles onto the Helix and it makes me sad!!😂 I've managed to get commands going from the FCB that change snapshots and stomps on the Helux which is great. My main problem is the lights do not stay on the FCB pedals so it's hard to remember what changes I have made. Will the EurekaProm chip fix this issues? I know it's not specifically programmed for the Helix which is fine I just want to know if it will make the FCB behave more like a stompbox in terms of the indicator lights. Many thanks in advance.

    Do I need all this with my 11r, all I want to do is save 10 presets, volume pedal and wah pedal..........I honestly dont care about doing anything on pro tools with my foot controller, its mostly so I dont have to go to the rig on a song switch, and of course straight up and down switching

    • @BenoniStudio
      @BenoniStudio  Před 8 lety

      Need? No. Easier to use, yes. You can program the included PROM in the FCB1010 if you want. The Eureka Prom is just easier because it's already been done.

      Go to "EF" mode first and then press and hold the "UP" button for a few seconds. Also make sure you have the Eprom2 chip installed
