    Fantastic memories just came back. Many thanks for sharing this with us. We did that route 15 years ago and you have just made me want to do it again sometime when this covid 19 is over. Keep safe.

    The road with the grass up the middle reminded me of the road into our house in Donegal and can be precarious in wet weather. Wouldn't be Ireland without a bit of rain. Hope to ride this route in summer. I wouldn't like to be on a tour with you Denis, pace was a bit fast in places, couldn't take in the scenery. Maybe it seems that way as the camera always tends to over exaggerate speed. This footage must have had post processing or your Drift HD Ghost has different settings to mine, I used to like the Drift, but have become less fond in the past years, don't really want to go down the GoPro route, too expensive. Love those HDR shots at the end. RSMF :)

      +IRISHROVER I only ride fast when I'm on my own, usually early in the morning when there's little traffic about and on roads I know well. If I'm with normal folk I strictly stick to the speed limit lol... I'm looking for a new camera myself, the Drift is not great at focusing when I'm riding fast on rough roads.. If ye head down this way be sure to let me know and I'll bring ye along some of my favorite back roads, and pubs if ye fancy a few pints in Killarney ;)

    Great video!
    What time of the year was this?
    I’m going over for 8-9 days starting 23rd May. Hoping the weather is as good as you had!

      Thanks, glad you enjoyed. This video was made from a load of footage taken over 1 year, I live in Killarney and often doing guided bike tours of the back roads so I'm here all the time and this vid is a bit of a montage. Late May is easily one of the best times to ride here as the weather is very mild, usually between 15C and 20C, it's also fairly quiet as it's before the heaviest tourist traffic arrives. You should expect a little rain but for the most part it should be ideal biking weather, especially in the south west. Donegal and the north west tends to be cooler and wetter though. Enjoy your trip, Denis..

      Thanks, Denis.
      Can I therefore assume I shouldn’t have much trouble getting B&Bs at short notice along the way...?

      @RoadTrooper  Před 5 lety +1

      @@BlueShadow777 For B&B's you'll be fine, plenty of AirBnB's around too. Hotel's in prime spots will be starting to get busy though. If heading into big town's or well known villages like Dingle etc just head to the tourist info office and they'll sort you out..

      +Adventures of two fathers I know, for some reason this vid got really badly messed up when uploaded to YT. I'm looking at getting a new cam to see if it makes a difference, the one I have (Drift HD Ghost) seems to have problems with focusing when riding fast on rough roads and fast changing light conditions like overhanging trees creating patches of shade/light.
