Will, I am 2 minutes into your video and still can't figure out why your iRacing looks so damn good! :D I enjoy these videos so much. Maybe we see each other on the track one day!
my iracing looks that good. All about GPU/CPU combo
IRacing proves how important color is to realism. It looks great, despite being an old game engine.
It doesnt look great in VR, very dated unfortunately even with all eye candy on and max settings. But glad it does look good for you so atleast you can enjoy it. Wish I could say the same.
@@-racingfan2014 i’m not sure if you know about Will’s simulator, but even to my surprise when i first found out, this is not VR, just HUGE fuckin like 65” screen tv’s with some pretty good refresh rate i think

Realism aside, that tempting setup must also be a lot of fun to drive, but if I tell my wife how much I spent on my "poor man" sim setup, she is still gonna kill me! 😅

I love these racing videos! I have been a Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport player for years on controller. I just recently, within the last year, got a wheel and cockpit setup. I have been getting a lot better and would like to get more serious about sim racing. What games/software would you recommend as a next step? What sort of progression through the various games would you recommend? There seem to be quite a few choices with Asetto Corsa and I racing and rfactor etc..any thought would be appreciated! Also, what game has your favorite Nurburgring?

You would be a lot faster if you would use 1 gear higher in a corners then you did (except 2nd and 3rd left turns where second gear works too). I know its the end of the week but thats main reason why guys behind you were gaining so easily. Anyways,great video like always 😊
A few people have said this. I always seem to find I don’t get the rotation I need and end up slower if I stay in higher gears so clearly I’m still doing something wrong. I’ll have to jump on VRS again.
@@boostedmedia I had exactly same problem until I've heard about getting rotation braking and using steering wheel less. I'm still learning that but already noticed big improvement in my lap times 🙂
Any chance w e can get a video on the comparison of different higher end dds? Like teh sc2 pro, Moza r21 faantec dd2 asetek or even vrs its so hard to find any people that tried multiple of them to compare how they actually feel
Incredible. Kindly, do you have a list of the hardware and gear you or on in this video, steering, pedals, seat, PC, all of it? Would love to use it to decide on my setup. I am starting from scratch coming from the track (light track.)

Great race! Wish iracing would fix their netcode issues, what an immersion breaker and I haven't noticed any other sims that have netcode issues at the same magnitude as iracing.

What is the overlay you’re using on the right hand side that shows the positions of cars around you? I would benefit greatly from something like that
Hi Will, ever since I've upgraded to Windows 11 Iracing stutters. Driving me nuts😅 Which OS are you on and do you by any chance have a solution? I searched the internet and find that many simracers struggle with windows 11😬😬
Will, how to you achieve this sim to look so smooth? Im on a 4080 and an 5800x3d with 165 hz and it doesnt look that good.... Is it the filming? This sim is driving me nuts : )

Are you using reshade? I have my game at Max graphics, but it doesnt look as good as yours. Could you maybe do a vid on ur Iracing graphics settings?
You must do a lot of post processing right? I have everything set to max and mine sure still looks like a cartoon game. Or is there something else I'm missing?

I absolutely love this track. Does anyone know of any other sim titles I can race at Road America on? I really have no interest in getting into iRacing.

@@Steazcrew I hope that's not the only one. That's an arcade game. I mean actual sim racing titles. Like ACC or Rfactor. Sim titles like that. Forza and gran tutismo don't count for me. The physics is just too poor in my opinion.

too long on the brakes into the corners, turn a tad earlier and push the front more and pick up time.
iRacing looks like a potato when you're actually playing it, but somehow looks decent on an action camera.
Camera is far and his pov seems high so the whole game is just farther away makes it look less bad
