One of the better oil change videos I’ve seen and nice videoing from underneath the 🏍 bike. I can see exactly what you are doing in a practical way. And you talked slowly as for dummies like I am. Thanks a million. NZ
Great, clear and concise video..thanks for sharing. 2 takeaways from my experience is to buy the eom crush washers. I bought a M14 crusher washer from the auto shop and it was halve the thickness. So that went in the washer bin, lol. And the filter grips I had for the trident are not a good fit on this Scrambler due to minimal wall clearance. So now I’ve added another tool like yours to the garage, 😂. I’ve also got some spare K&N filters but the nut hangs slightly lower than the bash plate. Again not a problem for front mounted filters like on the Trident but being on the bottom of the Scrambler…hmm not sure if it’s worth risking. So back to oem filters. Ride safe 🤙
Lovely bike. That oil filler cap looks tricxky to reach. You might like watching my oil change on my 2017 street twin. Enjoyed the video. thanks for sharing
Hi Toni once again ! This like your one as well was an awesome video. I bought a 2022 Triumph Bonneville T120 Matt Black / Silver gold line. Before that I had the 2019. Tnx Toni & Michael for your tutorials. Much love to USA, UK & NZ
Very thorough tutorial. I have a couple of questions: 1: after completing the oil change, how do you cancel out the little wrench icon on the odometer that indicates service due ? 2: where did you get that rolling center stand ( what brand is that ? ) Nice bike 😎
Thanks so much! I ordered something called dealer tool uk which hooks up to my laptop and the bike’s odmi to clear the tool. I believe I got the stand at Revzilla. www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/vortex-rear-stand?sku_id=1153920
Great video how did you reset the spanner symbol . Is the oil change not covered by the dealer and if done yourself is the warranty affected .love from wales uk
To reset the service (wrench) symbol, I had to purchase a tool from Dealer Tool UK. It hooks up to your computer and the bike and you can reset the interval which makes the wrench disappear. My dealer did not offer free service on the bike. From what I’ve read, as long as you are able to document that you have done the service and save your receipts for the supplies, it should not effect the warranty.
An excellent video thank you for posting it. At about 3:33, it looks as if the pivot bolt for the side stand is not pushed fully home. There should be an e-clip located in a groove on the back end of the bolt. Has this become detached ? Mine did and I had to replace it. Just a thought. Best wishes from Leicester, England.
The heat shields are very effective. It does get slightly warm on the right leg which is nice in winter and fall. Definitely not a deal breaker for summer riding.
I haven’t had any problems. The only thing I heard was that there might have been a problem in the past with the replacement K&N oil filters which have a welded nut on them to make tightening and loosening easier. Some people apparently over tightened this causing damage to the actual filter which caused a leak. I used the OEM filter and wrench so this wouldn’t be an issue.
They are pretty easy to install. However, the only part that was a little difficult was removing the main bolts on either side of the engine. However if you have a nice size ratchet, the leverage helps. Also on the left side of the bike I had to remove the the two nuts holding the header pipes to drop them down to get my ratchet in there. Those bolts should be torqued pretty tight too. I believe it gave the torque with the instructions. Might have been around 100 ft pounds, maybe more. Other than that, the instructions are straight forward and the rest is simple.

@@michaelsantino2023 how then will you deal with punctures? Maybe you should seal the rims with silicone and tubeless tire valve before punctures happen👍
They definitely get warm, but the heat shield works well. Nice in the winter and fall, not as nice in summer and spring. Really doesn’t bother me at all.
Just changed the oil with these instructions! Thank you!

Hey Mike, do you know what fluid the reservoir on the left side hold? Is that coolant?
How did you find the dealertool installation? Are you running it with Windows 10?
Thanks 🙏

Very helpful video. Did you use the 4 quarts of oil?
Thanks so much! It took about 3.5. I filled to halfway point on window and then ran for about a min and put a little more in after that.

Hi Michael, no problem, enjoy your scrambler.
Who else watched the entire video without having this beautiful bike? 😢
What's the heat off of the pipes on that bike?
Beautiful bike, congrats.
The heat shields are very effective. It does get slightly warm on the right leg which is nice in winter and fall. Definitely not a deal breaker for summer riding.
I am considering picking one of these sexy machines. Have you had any issues regarding oil leaks? I heard it's a common problem.
I haven’t had any problems. I highly recommend this bike. Have the 2019 and love it. Engine and transmission are smooth!
Why the check engine light on with only 500miles??
The first oil change for a new Triumph is set to go off at 500 miles. Must have something to do with an initial break in period?
How did you Clear service light????
I bought the dealer tool from the UK
Are those the Triumph engine dresser bars? Easy to install I assume?
They are pretty easy to install. However, the only part that was a little difficult was removing the main bolts on either side of the engine. @@michaelsantino2023 word thank you homie. Just got a scrambler and getting ready to for it’s first change. Thanks for the video.
Quick question, is your tires tubeless?
I’m not 100 percent sure. I didn’t change anything from stock, so I don’t think they are tubeless.
@@michaelsantino2023 how then will you deal with punctures? Maybe you should seal the rims with silicone and tubeless tire valve before punctures happen👍
how hot do the pipes get when riding?
They definitely get warm, but the heat shield works well. Nice in the winter and fall, not as nice in summer and spring. Really doesn’t bother me at all.
As light of torque as the drain plug takes, that's no crush washer. If you deform that washer at all, you've over torqued.
