What a great video ! I am super old so yes I have been using this and MANY other newer products for decades. I was around back in the days of those commercials and the consumer reports on how good it was. It’s a solid product, should be called the twice a year polish. You do your vehicle 2 times a year your ride will look good for 200,000 miles living outside. I speak from experience, on a few vehicles.

I tried the new “Better than Wax” and found that the old original liquid version gave me much better results with less work,
The liquid version also made the paint surface nice and slick with lots of protection.
I’ll stick with the old liquid formula.

Still a solid choice, there's a reason they haven't discontinued it.

Amazing video man! Thank you so much for your time and effort! I have used nufinish original for years and its always been amazing. After his I might be looking at their ceramic or graphene , but i do like the slickness when i touch the side of my car.

I can remember the Nu-Finish television commercials throughout the 1970's in my youth which literally dominated television. Showing that car going through "100 Car Washes!" Which always cracked me up because you only ever saw the car go through the automated car wash one time but they "said" it went through 100 times! LOL. It was probably the best selling wax (synthetic sealant really) in the world back in the day other than maybe the old green can of Turtle Wax. I think the old version was one of the very first products I used to wax my car when I was 16 when I first got the detailing bug. Products have just come so far since that time period. There are MUCH better products on the market for an equal price or maybe a little bit more. No doubt they will sell millions of bottles though because a non-detailing enthusiast who is shopping at WalMart or other store like that will see these on the shelf and remember those commercials of yesteryear and go "Oh yeah, this stuff is great!" unknowingly becoming a victim to the marketing hype. I guess for a person who isn't a detailing enthusiast, this product is an OK product and better than using nothing at all. I'm sure they have updated the technology from those old cans of Nu-Finish so like I said, it's probably better than using nothing at all. But really, there are a LOT better products than this stuff for around the same price range. Nice review Martin.

I've been using liquid nu finish polish couple times a year for the past fifteen years on all my panels except roof. Fifteen years later same car, all is well except roof is oxidized, with rust. Rest of vehicle that I used In Finish on I was able to paint correct easily with a single hand polish. Just kicking myself for not doing the roof more consistently.

Great comparison - thanks, man. Liked and subscribed. And, yeah man, I was around when the original Nu Finish was advertised on t.v. MANY YEARS ago. I used it on my '72 BMW 2002 - worked great, kept the paint nice. Used it a few times again recently on my '22 Subaru Forester - shines like a mofo. ;-)

The nufinish cream was great up till some years back. They changed the formula and so the quality diminished.. Still a good product but not as good as before

  • @thejoebeanbandandfriends-h5010

Good video, thanks! What is weird is, I found the Nu Finish ceramic and graphene priced at $4.99 at a thrift store. I bought up a bunch of it but it makes me wonder if they are going to discontinue it for some weird reason? It seems to work just fine. I need to remember to wear gloves next time, I think some of these products might be toxic? Maybe that is the issue, I'm not sure.

I used the original formula for years. Best protection for the price hands down. About 2-3 years ago I bought a new bottle. It looked a little different. It didnt last no where near as long as the original formula. Manufacturer states formula hasn’t changed. There is no way that’s true. I have switched to meguires ceramic coatings, reluctantly..

you aren't the first person to experience that. I will say though the graphene is just as easy to use as the liquid with better protection

I'm a liquid guy, but I have noticed it's different, which is disappointing. Like when Equate stuff from Wal Mart says it's the same as Motrin, but there's a noticeable difference. Maybe using same stuff from different suppliers and weaker ingredients.

Imho Nu-Finish products seem to provide solid if unexceptional protection. However, not so much as gloss & shine enhancement... That being said, their new products are participants [as soooo many others] with the wretched excess at the retail shelf space wars and adds to the overall confusion as to what to choose for the average Joe looking to go beyond the basic driveway wash. At least their name has longevity so it delivers as far as that goes.

    • @BelLavoroAutoSpa

Gloss was about the same between them all. It's gonna come down to if you prefer price, slickness, or durability.

Nu finish needs a nu look. Reminds me of the generic “beer” can. Shouldn’t matter but. The slick n slide foams shockingly well. If you like thick foam definitely don’t buy P&S Pearl. I used 1:3 ratio and still was like 🐎wiz.

Would you recommend liquid NuFinish + finishing off with Ceramic to seal? This whole time I was under the impression the liquid forumula was just a “wax cleaner” that seals paint and to add an extra layer you finish with Graphene/Ceramic
Is it a bad Idea to do so? I’m looking for the most slick and decent shine
