NU FINISH Vs 303 GRAPHENE PAINT PROTECTION TORTURE TEST

  • TORTURE TEST GRAPHENE PAINT PROTECTION for auto detailing. Today its 303 Graphene Nano Spray Coating vs Nu Finish Graphene Coating. Both are very popular and easy to get. Are the spray sealants good paint protection or are they another auto detailing gimmick? I will be testing these spray sealants or spray coatings with a chemical resistance test. I will start with a PH Neutral soap and keep stepping up the torture until they fail. These are all products that are used in car detailing and could end up on the paint work. I hope you enjoy the video and hope you consider subscribing to my channel.

    I just saw this product 303 and I’m sold I do light scale cars and golf carts and this product is so easy to use and it works damn well and you put it through a pretty tough test.
    Are you related to a Andy Watts? I played football with him here in California, but oh my God you have the same personality as him the way you laugh and step backwards I swear to God you’re cloned. I enjoy your video so much. I just started detailing Golf Carts and patio furniture and the odd car on the outside and inside but just for fun I’m 66 but I love your videos are very informative. I love how organize you are because that’s how I started doing this I’m an organized freak so I just do it for fun and get Golf Cart every once in a while but enjoy your show. I love your tips and, I’ve been on the carnivore diet for six months and lost 35 pounds and feel better than I’ve ever felt and I know you’re doing that

    I use the 303 Graphene on all my customers with black or grey colored vehicles. Roofs on trucks and SUV are great to show the effects on how well it can shed water and grime. And I follow 303 recommendation to spray the product on a MF sponge and then spread it out. Then watch it sweat and haze and remove with a another MF towel. Impressive results even in hot sun!

      @@to5msheppard It is safe for all exterior trim on vehicles BUT highly recommend on vinyl and plastic consider using the 303 Protectant product. The bottle said something like once a year car polish that will last threw 52 automatic car washes, nu finish would wash away after 2 hand washes lol. I was happy with turtle wax for several yrs then made the switch to Adams products up till I applied Avalonking armor shield ceramic coating. Armor Shield been on my truck 3 yrs now with no signs of the coating wearing away.

    Being honest tho, what do you consider longer lasting and better overall OG Drying aid vs P&S Beadmaker, I ended up getting the OG Drying aid and I'm not super impressed about it, have yet to try beadmaker.

    • @HawaiiDetailing
      @HawaiiDetailing  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks. I think the drying aid is a better product overall. You have to have the paint prepped and in good condition and it should come out really slick and shiny. If not consider a light clay or polish then apply. I do like beadmaker too. It provides a similar experience. You really can’t go wrong with either product. Be sure to put enough on when applying also. I prefer to use both on a wet car as a drying aid. The durability on both is a short term apply each wash type of protection. OG probably will out last beadmaker. I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Fantastic review!!! NuFinish Graphene was a fight to the finish just to apply. Hard to apply... No Thanks. The NuFinish Ceramic Spray is much easier to apply and will last 100 normal car washes (that is... on a test hood and 100 continuous washes, it even outperforms their own graphene spray in a head-to-head faceoff). Who knew, two coats of break busting cleaners would remove both products. Love your humorous touch and in editing.

    At the beginning of the test it looks like you used Adams car shampoo in the foam canon.
    Is there a difference in using the adams mega foam and and car shampoo in the canon?
    When I wash my car, would you recommend using adams mega foam in the canon and then washing it with adams car shampoo with 2 bucket method, or can I get away with using either adams mega foam or adams car shampoo in the canon and then washing it off with the 2 bucket method. (1 bucket clean water, 1 bucket where I use the grit guard.) the clean water bucket to put clean water on the mitt before wiping off the soap or foam on the car.
    Thanks

    • @HawaiiDetailing
      @HawaiiDetailing  Před 2 lety +1

      I usually use mega foam in the cannon and the soap of your choice in the bucket. You can use any of these soaps in the cannon. I usually spray the car with foam and if it’s not that dirty I go straight to the 2 bucket contact wash with the foam still on the paint. If it’s dirty I rinse the foam off and do the contact wash next hoping this pre wash will rinse away some of the dirt on the paint before i do the contact wash. Hope that helps.

    The lack of slickness is caused by the graphene. That is how the stuff is supposed to behave. It’s added kind of like finely ground charcoal therefore not fully blending with the surface leaving it a little less slick to the touch.

    Hey man, I love your channel, but you totally missed the target on this one. The Nu Finish is a spray and wipe product, if you let it sit it will be a pain to remove, especially with your overapplication. Also the bottle clearly states "no chemicals" , most people don't get rained on by APC or Iron Removers, if they did, they have bigger problems to worry about than their car paint :-) Moral of the story: Spay & Wipe + Normal Car wash the nu-finish will last 4~6 months

    • @HawaiiDetailing

      Thanks for sharing. I agree these tests are harsh and it does not represent normal daily use of a product. It just shows durability to a beating by cleaning products. It’s fun and tells a story about the product as a whole. Application, cost hydrophobic properties etc. I tried to use it every way at different times and on black polished paint it was definitely not as easy as some of the others I tested. Thanks for watching.

      4-6 months isn't that exciting. We were getting 6 months out of old school polymer sealants like Meguiars nxt. That stuff has been around for decades. Was hoping new graphene tech would be better but it seems like it's the same as what we have always had.

    My 303 application last year was closer to your Nu finish experience. It was almost like buffing off an old wax. Slickness wasn't there, the performance was OK, and the longevity was disappointing as well.

  • @giftfromgodpostcardministr6547

    I believe the new finish or any wax would last due to the fact that no one is going to spray chemicals on their paint to try to remove their wax plus most people will reapply the wax after they dried their vehicle I am a old school detailer from 1992 I still do the buffing and waxing even though I have to do it on my Cars 2 to 3 times a year I am testing the new finish on my black car for about 6 months to really see true results this is one of the First videos that I have seen where the guy has actually applied the new finish correctly and busted off

    What are you expecting dude, NuFinish has been around since 1977, when Chips was on TV with Eric Strada. Did you seriously expect it to beat the latest technology ? how about for the next test you roll out a 1930 Ford Model T and race it against a 2024 BMW M3 ? wonder which one will win..?

      @@pullingthestrings5233 yeah. Is a good money maker. Best value for a Spray Sealant on the market. Still not as user friendly as other spray sealants on the market and many beginners have issues with it since they expect it to behave like a regular spray wax.
