    I followed you step by step and disassembled my 6.0 LS . This was my 1st time disassembling a LS motor and your video was perfect. I even went to the store and rented the same pulley. Thank you for the upload.

    I have been binge watching 6.0 LS Tate downs. One trick i plain to use was cleaning the carbon out with Barrymen’s B12 injector cleaner. That stuff is magical. Thanks for sharing.

    So I have a 04 Chevy Silverado Z71 with the 5.3 an I was looking at intake manifolds for it an see the fast 102 intake an thought it would be nice on the truck but as I was doing my research everyone says that it don't fit that motor then it got me digging an found out apparently the 5.3 gen 3 is not a ls it's a small block base for the ls crates it's more so a 5.3 vortex V8 small block tho the web said it does share the same designs as a ls but that's where I get confused if it's the same designs almost then why won't a fast 102m intake manifold fit

    • @MitchCarveth
      @MitchCarveth  Před rokem +2

      I apologize for such a late reply, are you looking at the truck fast 102 or the regular fast 102? either way it won't matter as long as the intake manifold you are looking at says its for "Cathedral Port" heads it will fit your truck. I'm not sure what your other mods are but I do suggest going with the Truck Fast 102 intake manifold so you dont lose any low end torque compared to the none high rise fast 102 most put on cars, that intake will give you a little more top end but your low end will suffer.

    What’s up man I have a lq9 with low oil pressure it does have 300k miles would it be smart to get it rebuilt or should I just swap it ?🥲

    • @MitchCarveth
      @MitchCarveth  Před 8 měsíci

      It could just be the oil pickup tube o-ring, they tend to get hard and shrink. That will drop your oil pressure due to no longer making a proper seal in the oil pump. With that many miles she may need a refresh tho. It really depends on budget and time, if you can find a good deal on a lower mile lq9 might be worth just re-gasketing it and maybe do a cam while it’s out and drop her in. Then you will have an extra engine to build for power at your own pace or sell to replenish funds.

      @Theziptieman Před 8 měsíci

      @@MitchCarveth I did the oil pick up tube on my Denali shit was a bitch but nope still the same bro , so short answer just swap that bitch out and throw a stronger cam and etc in? 🥲

    • @MitchCarveth
      @MitchCarveth  Před 8 měsíci

      I think it’s a good call, that’s what I did when the original 5.3 exploded a lifter and sent shrapnel throughout the engine. New gaskets, stronger cam and send it.
