Thanks so much you guys on making/proposing a great idea, to make out of a situation (snow) not to limit us out there keep flying no mater what!!! Make memories as you have always say! And making people to remember that there are people on your forum/page proposing ideas, recognizing them is what flitetest is all about! Thanks so much on keeping people thinking which is the machine that keeps us moving and enjoying even more this great hobby! Can't express more with words what the great rc community appreciate what you have accomplish! Thanks so much and fly safe! Ed
My 15 year old son loves you guys and loves flying rc planes he takes everything apart to try and make an rc plane . He fails a lot but one day hrll find a way to fly a home built plane
Not sure why but this was the best video with Josh and Josh, they clicked better than normal. Also, you should just go out flying for a long time and record it and put it up. How about like a Vlog type flying video? 30 min of just watching everyone fly. I can't fly right now so watching you guys have fun is next best thing. Flight test 2 channel with behind the scene and vlogs?
Great job! Nothing wrong with modifying or improving on a existing design! I appreciate it when you ensure that credit is given to the original designers even if the plans are provided for free use. It shows integrity and it is something I wish more people openly practiced! It is also appreciated that you provide your improvements for free for those wishing to give it a try! I built my first self build off of your plans for the Versa Wing and it flew great! It really got me excited to build some of my own planes instead of just buying them. Incredible satisfaction to watch something you made take to the skies!
There are so many smart people in the hobby, it's a real pleasure to have a platform to help give those people the exposure they deserve! Happy building :)
Awesome!! wish I saw this at the beginning of winter. We still have snow here in Michigan, so still a chance to make strange tracks down at the park to make people guess what could have done it. :) thanks for being awesome!!
Iron on lam works great too or just clear packing tape. I tape both sides of a full sheet of foam then cut it out. I feel like i need to fpv my nutball. Its a fun plane.
I for one enjoy the foamies. I'm just getting into the hobby that I always wanted to do but never could afford. Then I found this show and I love it. To me the foamies are new idea, and I really would like to see more things that I could build myself. Of course, that doesn't mean I just want to see nice inexpensive builds, I like to see the reviews. I really enjoy them. The apprentice safe mode episode really spoke to me, and I am saving up for it. SO please don't stop the foamies. Just add to the show. Appeal to the masses sure, but don't forget us that appreciate the foamies. Just my two cents.
Hair spray might waterproof foam board. I used to use it to waterproof (paper) road tax discs on my motorcycle before they went completely electronic on road tax here. Just completely coat it and let it dry. It does make paper warp but i doubt it'll make foam board warp.
Remove the paper from the DTF, and use packing tape in strategic areas. I have been building for years with DTF, removing the paper, and using packing tape. No more problems with moisture. Significantly lighter builds. I know you guys leave the paper on for strength, but if you look at the RCGroups scratch build section, almost everyone removes the paper from DTF.
I assume the Ohio state troopers put up road blocks to keep you guys there in the winter. 84 degrees in Houston today. Blue sky. Green grass. Flew. What is keeping you there? You can do your thing from Texas. No state income tax. Low cost of living. I will come and help you load your Uhaul. You guys would make wonderful neighbors!
can you do a video on what you do after you have recorded with a gopro or something. I have a jvc adixxion on my quadcopter and i'll record in 1080p but when i get home and download the video its like 360p, could you say like what free video editing software there is out there and tips etc? thanks :p
nice work once again guys, just a question to david for the summer,Hej David, älskar avsnittet med diskus glidarna, kan du testa att sätta på solceller på både plan o sändare för att verkligen kunna ha planet i luften i en evighet? servon tar ju el, hejdå!
I have two Versa wings that are both Minwaxed. Would it be ok to land those in the snow or should I still spray it with the campdry? They are still is good condition and I don't want to build another yet. Cheers!
I have not read all of the posts, so this may have already been mentioned, but have you guys considered the new rustolim (How ever you spell it) never wet product they recently came out with for the water proofing? I saw a can of it at Wal-Mart for just a few dollars. Just a thought. Keep up the great videos!
Please review the E-Flite Allusive. No disrespect but I had enough of foamies for now. There are some interesting things out there that are not made out of foam.

You should re do the snowball episode with your new foamboard this winter
EPIC i loved it
I'm currently working on a mini snowball that uses the same electronics for the T-28 Trojan micro. :)
How about trying an Ekranoplan or some other wing in ground effect craft? That would be ideal in the snow.
Looks like fun
Very kool plane guys
flite test is the best
Go Max ! Go !
nice plane!!! but please make a edf tri or edf quopter
Nice video guys. But you could save yourself a whole lot of trouble and additional cost in materials and time by using MPF (Model Plane Foam).
How did Alex get back in the States from Russia so fast? Fess up Alex is Charlie White, gold medalist for ice skating.
Hair spray might waterproof foam board. I used to use it to waterproof (paper) road tax discs on my motorcycle before they went completely electronic on road tax here.

The silver plane on the wall in the background with the checkerboard nose, is that a P-47?

I was asking about it in movie before, but do you think about streaming yours flying ?

Well, Josh & Josh, come to the Netherlands, we have no snow here at all this year for some reason. O_o
Would love to do this with my ft flyer I am using at the moment it's also my first plane but it doesn't snow where I live
I want one. Also snow.

Cheers!
Hey Weese, the Minwax will work just fine as long as you got a good coating on it. No need to put CampDry on top of that.
FliteTest That's great to hear. Now off to the park to get some flying in!
I have not read all of the posts, so this may have already been mentioned, but have you guys considered the new rustolim (How ever you spell it) never wet product they recently came out with for the water proofing?
