FT Guinea Pig Foam Board Cargo Airplane
18:26 little did they know he would be the fastest pilot in drone racing.
and still is!
The breakup of that plane in mid air was amazing. loved all the camera angles.
10:44 I thought this was a family show? :)
Fantastic episode . Fun , informative and best of all, Peter looked right at home , he is an asset to the FT crew.
His ideas and design are right there ! now go design and make a foam CHINOOK using the identical twin motor set up !!
One of the hardest things to figure out when I first started was which electronics to get. I knew what I needed, just not which ones worked the best. Having electronics will help you guys out alot.
They also have other companies Ellington them too like Grayson hobby like 45 for the swappable electronics
This was my first rc plane I've ever owned/built. Learning to fly on this airplane was easy. It flew amazing and was very forgiving to repair when the ground, telephone poles, trees and fences weren't. It even served as our daughter's platform to have her Barbies skydive. Thanks to the movers who packed her up nicely, she survived to fly again when we returned to the states from Okinawa. Ordered a second one and currently have both in my arsenal of aircraft. THANK YOU guys so much for the memories this and other planes I have given to my family! God bless and keep up the good work!!
yup
this episode is way up there in the FT hall of fame
Josh Scott adds the humour that is missing from other videos. Love the Guinea, great design.
Please make some plans for the mini folding wing/plane.
Any idea when the plans become available.
Now, it is called the pun jet
I can't wait to buy this from the flite test store, seeing all your videos rekindled my love for rc planes. I never had money when I was growing up to buy my own stuff, but now I got a job and looking forward to training and building, then move up to this beautiful plane.
We'd like to see you drop 3 or 4 nano fpv quads out of the plane. Then put the quads in formation and fly them back into the plane. We are waiting...
Lol better call Boston dynamics
Lol even one single one would be insanely difficult.
Just bought the Pig at the local Hobby Town here in Richmond Virginia. I'm a traveling welder and I fly whenever I can and I have been wanting this plane and had to have it. This one will maiden over Christmas! Thank you guys! Keep it up!!
I want the plans for the mini folding jet!!!!!!
Me too.
Me too!!!!!
Add me to that list
yes
Me too
"any plane that poops out another plane is cool with me" .... still cracks me up 7 years later! 😅
Can we get that sound of you guys laughing as a ringtone?
Wow🤠🤠
This Plane is the best one yet. My sons and I are building one based on your Foam board Ideas. I made my own plans and the Fuselage turned out great. I have a few Blisters from hot Glue too. Thanks Bixler. great show. Its has enough lift add some ailerons to it.
Mike is Peter's biggest fan?
Wow, he has some tiny fans.
This is now the third time I've seen this video... thanks to the magical power of ADD I always forget 3/4 of it, but I LOVE seeing the events over and over. One of many Flitetest videos I watch multiple times. Great video!!!!!
Thank you, whoever was up at 4am to upload this.
Please please please put these in the store they look so fun especially the foldable plane that's awesome!!!!!
That was sooooo much fun watching you guys cutting up and having fun! I bet you guys cut up a bunch more when the cameras are off! Don't listen to the few fuddy duddys that call this garbage & want you to return to straight educational format! This was a nice switchup from the regular vid format.
Watching the tail gate drop on the Guinea Pig and the parachutes dropping out reminded me of doing group jumps out of the back of a Skyvan.
Plans for foldwing please ;)
hey, if they release plans i'll race you to build it :)
Haha yeh!! We got to fpv em!!!
BanniUK Now that sounds like fun!!
U got fb?
Yup
Coming back to this channel after not watching for awhile. Decided to come back to the video that started it all for me. You guys are awesome and I love what you're doing!
How would you guys feel about doing a NASA Space Shuttle replica?
That would be awesome
Yah definitely do that make it like 6 feet or something crazy
Blast off as a Rocket and fly in as a Space shuttle.
Bronco Surveillance Yeah build a rocket rc hybrid
I My boys and I are building the parts and just ordered a power kit from flight test store. they need to carry servos. I had to go to Amazon to buy them.
One of the best episodes you've ever done. Crashes, funny experiments, more funny crashes ... and JScott!!! .. I'm still laughing
Keep up the amazing work!!! Been watching for a while now. Very soon I'm going to feel like a 1981 kid that discovered one of the best rock bands in the world before they were huge. :)
Oh man, now I'm super-tempted to get one of these.
Edward Longshanks So am I. Just that I'm too busy with my other projects to build yet another flying thing!
Like the Magpul and AR bolt face decals! Can't wait to build this!
That must have been a pain to clean up all those parachhters
Lol! You guys are great! Thank you for not editing your crashes out. Its a real morale booster for noobs!
"I want to take care of it and keep it around" next video "jenga with guinea pig"
What I want to see in an episode is the design process and how you guys make these amazing creations!
How do you feel about perhaps doing a four-motored plane, like a B-17 Flying Fortress replica?
Awesome seeing all the dads and sons out there making memories. Dads... do it while you can. Once they figure out girls...hard to get their attention on anything else! ;-). Your kids won't forget this!
They should try land the little plane back in the big plane
That was an amazing episode! I can't wait to move up to 4-ch planes. This is on my must build list!
The flyers community is so nice
Been waiting for this plane for 6 months - thanks flitetest
I feel like maybe you've mentioned it but...
Im digging the magpul / arfcom stickers Ive seen all over your planes. Who's the shooter in the group?
I'm not sure if Peter shoots something besides his potato gun, but he is a big fan. :)
Tom Muhleman, Jr.
Shhhh... be quiet, They'll find me now! Dont give away my stockpile of M855!
*proceeds to wrap transmitter in tinfoil
FoamandTape So it wasn't the connector. You simply forgot to unwrap the transmitter first.
:-)
Tom Muhleman, Jr.
Yeah yeah I know! Problem is SS109 and m855 is about to be outlawed by the BATEF or what ever that useless institution is called. Better get it while you can! Lol if you want to have fun, paint some standard M193 green and sell it to a neckbeard. (Good thing 109 and 855 are magnetic) I'm going to visit my local gun show and see how many dishonest people there are.
I can't imagine feeding more calibers! I'll just stick to 54R and 556 for now.
oh and DI > piston. hahahaha
I swear I thought he was going to have and actual guinea pig in the cockpit flying around! 😆 SO glad I was wrong!
Yeah this is the sort of video we love and remember from FT,not that I don't like your other content because I do. :-)
I love the Guinea and will be getting one for sure, but I also want a speed build of that mini wing. It looks like a blast to fly with that roll rate!
And my mom said when pigs fly.
What a "pun" jet
best joke ever 10/10 flight test aproved
As someone who's just started getting into FT in the past month, I'd be interested in seeing more of these on-the-spot mini-reviews on new items. Seeing people talk about the limitations of a build as well as its strengths after having handled it for the first time honestly makes me more excited and interested.
How much weight can that Guinea Pig plane carry? How about size of the load?
Hey guys, I'm a complete newbie to RC flight just small Air Hogs and a bit of indoor heli. I have however worked on C-130's as an Air Force Crew Chief for 8 years and and currently large airframes at another base and always wanted to get into scale flying. Watching your videos the past week and more exactly this one I am completely motivated to learn and BUILD this airframe! I'm looking to paint it exactly like the 62-63 E's, 92-98 H's, and 02 J models I worked in Ar. I can't wait to start both THANKS for the motivation videos and any help you guys can and will provide!
Great to see both Joshes. Great planes! I want to build one of each! Simply awesome episode. Not sure how anyone could down vote this one! Only thing I would like to change on the Guinea is to be able to close to close the door.
Does FT have a build video for the larger Guinea or is it the same as the mini which has a build video?
On your recommended motors on your site you list the hexTronik DT750 Brushless Outrunner but mention that the " optional hardware kit for prop shaft". I can't seem to find this listed. Do you have a link for the optional hardware kit?
This was like the BEST flite test episode EVER!
Some people just know how to have fun... :)
Все для тебя
You guys at FliteTest have officially gotten me back in to the RC hobby. I have already broken propellers that I would not have had I not come across your videos. Thank you so much!
Flite Test, how hard was it to get your FAA commercial exemption?
love that you guys have electronic set ups on your store
note to self ,... no food or drink while watching Flight Test ....
Did I learn my lesson after the mid-air caused me to choke / spew my chicken n mashed potatoes...
....but then
During the replay ,... "we don't have attractive laughs .... " I nearly inhaled my coffee.
live and learn ,,,, no snacks, no beverages during Flight Test .... :P cough cough
hahaha
I don't get whats so funny about it
Joshua Scott!! so glad to see him back
Can the guinea pig have floats on it on an episode and add build plans for floats please.
Matthew Going agreed
Best episode ever? This and the Sea Duck one.
is the little one called the guinea piglet?
Pun jet
This is one of the greatest episodes yet! Thanks guys😎
10:49 sounds like he downloaded the wrong kind of porn
A long one, but definitely worth it. Nice to see guys having fun and not being too serious about something that is just a hobby. Carry on men!
What happened to you guys? You went from being educational and explorative, to just dorking around, trying to do silly stuff, break things and not care anymore. I am not impressed by the new direction.
Lighten up, everyone knows this hobby is not all about being educational. It is about having fun!
IPVG
I agree. I feel that they're following the natural progression of learning to fly. Spending your first few seasons learning all the basics and stressing over the actual mechanics of learning how to keep yourself in the air. Then after that you stop thinking about the actual flying part and just get out there to have fun. You might explore the basics again when you're mentoring someone (as they have done with Josh Scott) but ultimately the goal is to get them at a point where they can fly on their own and have the same care free screw aroundy fun that you're having.
IPVG I can agree to the part that the hobby is about having fun, but I still think reckless flying and strapping things (RC cars and such) onto a plane just to be destructive, and crashing into each other without a care in the world, seems a litte bit...over the top or something. Oh well. I'll still watch the interesting FliteTest videos, but parts of them are not to my liking, and I expressed that feeling. :)
IPVG true
Yeah, stop having fun! This hobby isn't about fun!
So excited that you have released the power Packs
Nice design! Looks like a lot of fun.
Definitely my favorite ft video ever !
Always nice to see young pilots, and new people getting in the air :)
So much easier to get into rc these days compared to just a few years ago, let alone 15, 20 or 25 years ago, when I started..
"the pig" seems like a real beginners plane, and a blast to fly for all ages.
Well done ;)
*****
Nice :)
You won`t regret it, the building experience will be useful later on, and it`s much more fun flying something you built yourself ;)
Back in the day RTR`s was something of a luxury, now it`s the norm and most the time, people just buy something, fly it, crash it, and don`t know how to fix it.
Experimenting with your own builds in one of my favourite parts of the hobby.
Go for it, you`ll love it!
another great video thanks guys for all the smiles and laughter keep up the good work.Peace and love to you all :)
Guys!!!! Prolly one of best videos you've made. Excellent introduction and ending too. Wow. Wow WOW!
This is your best episode yet. You guys are such dorks (good thing) and seem to have so much fun. I've been thinking about getting one of your planes and I think this one may be it.
The crash footage was awesome.
I love the Guinea Pig! It's such a cool plane, I'm gonna try to make something like it some day.
Welcome back Josh Scott. Hope to see much more of you.
Oh no! Not another plane to add to my build list! Great work Peter on an excellent plane
Welcome back Josh Scott! Guys that mid airs you guys did puts mine to shame lol!Looks like a baddass fun twin that could hover with the best of them IMO. Fun episodes guys it really cheered me up!
You guys are out of control there!!!.............fantastic! It's all about fun & you guys make it a science & do it so well:-)
Love the stickers on the second plane! haha!
FINALLY!!!!!!!! I am so excited. Gotta have that swing wing jet too!!! Thanks FliteTest!!!
I think this is going to be my first rc plane. I have been doing drones for a little bit but now I want this!
I love my own design of the twin cargo plane. I think all twin cargo planes are awesome!
Although mines not nearly as pretty ;)
thanks so much. im in your debt so many smiles after this one
Really like the folding plane, will order as soon as it comes out. Great job guys---this is a great sight and very good videos.
Saw this last year on the 16 of July on the video spider quad build and waited to see what it was like it very much keep up the good work
By far my favorite Flight Test video to date. I love watching this. You guys really seem to enjoy playing around with the Guinea Pig. Nice going.
Nice display of the plane's capabilities. I don't fly (yet?), but love the technology & design aspects of the hobby. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for putting electronics on the store!
Thanks for the laughs! That was hilarious watching it crash to the ground...
flite test needs more Peter, he should have his own play list on CZcams channel, and a blog so fans can preview his up coming stuff
Well he did have a channel, FoamandTape, but I don't know if he's still active on there. You could check that out tho. :)
Nathon Brown he has a youtube channel
check his channel peter sripol
I love it, keep building Josh and Peter!
I am always proud of what you guys have accomplished . The positive attitudes and approach to teaching is beyond what most people can muster. Well done and I hope you have much more success in the future too.
The fold-wing is awesome!!
Another great video, gents - much appreciated. Keeps those of us in wintery climates entertained when we can't get outside.
The small folding plane is awesome!
I've been waiting for a cargo plane! Thanks guys! Please make the little folding plane too!
I would sure love to see a vid on matching motors to props, and motors to aircraft size.
perhaps yall can make a table of matching components. matching spc's.
love watching yall having so much fun with crazy ideas ( who's to say what crazy is?)
And also yes that would be awesome to have the little swing wing plane on the store is it isn't already. :D
Ok I'll be in town this week ,hopefully I can stop and spend an obscene amount of money in your hobby shop in N.Canton, Oh. Great video. Thanks
I want the folding plane on the store! That thing looks awesome!
Loved it! Great plane, fun video! Probably the only non scale plane I would buy!
My favorite part of the video was the fathers and sons.
I can't wait to get the guts to build and fly this!
Peter's laugh is amazing
amazing episode guys! cant wait to pick up some FT planes and electronics :D:D
