Luka is the exact type of person that Simmons is supposed to be "locking down". You could make excuses for bigger players posting him up or smaller players going around him but 6'5 -6'10 perimeter players is supposed to be his wheelhouse.
Also props to Luka he was cooking gametime.
He will “lock down” guys like Luka by a third of the season. After 5 games with two years out, going through one of the most public divorces from that sport crazy city and a spinal surgery 4 months ago, I’m all ok with the progress so far. He will get to 14-10-10 at the right end of the season. That’s all the Nets need him for. Note this new team played 5 playoff teams do far with two of them can land conference finals or even NBA finals. Nets are also missing two starters in Joe and Seth - two pieces that Simmons can maximise even further. Note Kyrie is shooting 26% and KD 32% from three so far.

Like they had a tough ,tough start to the season with very good opposition. Now they have a couple games against the Pacers and Wizards who he should be fine with, but maybe if he still struggles they should send him to the G-League. Less cameras ,smaller defenders barely any pressure and get him to play down there to regain his confidence and aggression.
