    You want distilled water because it doesn't have any minerals in it, due to the distilling process and a microfiber cloth to prevent scratches
    Other cleaners and materials can destroy the screen, deposit oils and add scratches

    I have been using whoosh screen shine for years and that $20 a bottle goes a long way because you don't need that much of it. It works so well at removing finger smudges and dirt. I'm fully on board.

    I've been using whoosh for about a year and I will never go back. You also have to buff the whoosh

    I use a slightly damp microfiber cloth and it’s perfect. I don’t put my Cheetos covered fingers on the screen though.

    I use the whoosh cloth all the the time for my glasses and screens. However i always use my glasses spray that i already have so much of instead of just buying "device cleaner".

    you CANT clean glass with 99% alcohol ..................... 70% works perfectly. The apple stuff is 70% alcohol with a very tiny dash of furnature polish.

    just use 70% IPA, 99% IPA evaporates too fast

  • @Vidar93
    @Vidar93 Před 9 hodinami

    So I just feel I should comment that you really do not want to be using 99% IPA for cleaning screens. Due to its strength it can eat away at the film on the screens and damage it similarly to the photo he showed for windex. 99% IPA is good for cleaning eletrical contacts because they dont have the same film to damage and it doesnt run the risk of any electrical conductivity. Ideally you should only be using a lint free microfiber cloth and that should remove any finger prints or dust. You can use either a 50/50 or 70/30 IPA by applying a very small amount to the rag to buff out more stubborn gunk build up and you wont run the risk of damage but I personally would not recommend using it for every time you clean the display. Woosh is an alcohol free alternative but realistically you will be fine with the occasional 70/30 or 50/50 mix. Just dont spray it directly on the screens and allow it to pool up, this goes for woosh as well..

    If you get a big and small bottle of woosh, the little one will last way longer with less waste, and you can fill up the tiny one from the large value bottle :)
