Ikkaku Madarame is one of Bleach's most underrated characters but he's not without his own unique backstory and allure. In this video, I break down exactly why I'm such an avid fan of the character. - Krátké a kreslené filmy

Ikkaku is such a hidden gem in the series and I wish he got a bit more. I kinda wish that the Zero Division also grabbed him to reforge his bankai but sadly we never got that
He and his bankai would still be trash... His bankai looked cool... that's it. It broke the first time he used it on screen and that was the only fight he actually won in the series aside from the human fullbring with brass knuckles. He's found his purpose now, training Renjis kid
One the best supporting characters in early Bleach. I really think they could have developed him more in TYBW. They had the chance with him and Yumichika vs Giselle, him seeing Yumichika’s true shikai when fighting Zombie Tosh could have opened the door to further develop those two’s friendship.

Ikkaku's Bankai should actually have been his shikai's second release stage (similarly to Yumichika Ayasegawa), that way, he and Zaraki would have attained their respective awakened Bankai's in conjunction. Ikkaku trained Renji when he was part of the 11th division, but he somehow turned out weaker than him in the soul society invasion arc when facing Ichigo.
And then somehow ended up stronger again in arrancar arc
To the reason for his bankai look and be so weak is because, as we learned in the blade is me chapter, ikaku don't like the fact he have a bankai, the same way Ichigo can't use his power until he acept his powers Ikaku to can't use his bankai gull power because he fell the need to hide his powers
I really wish they would have brought him to repair his bankai in the soul palace and get a fight against a sternritter. I think about this OFTEN
He struggled with grimmjows fraccion. Ain't no way he would reach sternritter level in 3 years.

The fraccion that Ikkaku barely beat and in the process broke his bankai is so much weaker than Arrancar arc Grimmjow they (the fraccion) even said their strength is insignificant compared to Grimmjows.

His bankai is😩...we need more about him in future arc like hell arc😭
Despite to the damage to his Bankai think it healed or evolved its self somewhat

Such a fun character, one of my fav lieutenants
I like his strict warriors code and his willingness to get into a good scrap while fulfilling his Shinigami work. Also liked the more lighthearted comedic side that emerges when Mizuho entered his picture, much to his utter bemusement at her feelings for him, specifically for his famous attribute. Still it was interesting seeing him and her interact in a way outside his usual battle eagerness. Consider it a break.
Kubo just has this talent of making all of his characters no matter how minor leave a good impression on me. From their design, personality and dialogue, they always manage to keep me engage and wanting more screen time for them. Even if they don't always get it😓.
Finally some appreciation for my favorite boy madarame
One of my favorite charters. He just loves to fight. And that Banki is insane. That's what I love. He love to fight.
Let's hope the anime version ikkaku do more in the roll
Hard agree, I was a little disappointed reading the manga when he dropped more and more out of use. I was hoping for more, but that's true of so much even though we've got so much.

Ikakau was always a good character and kubo did nothing with him after the arancar saga. He needed a major fight in the quincy war or atleast something to progress his character.
I guess that's what happens when you write too much characters
He does get a bit of progress later. He is now Ichika's teacher.

Also Kubo kinda screwed him by giving him the worst zanpakuto. Still he is doing better than Chad, hopefully he will get a big epic moment with Ichika.

Alright, I’m going to go ahead and say this:
Ikkaku is my past, present, and future. If I see anyone around who hates Ikkaku, they will promise their fate. When I first saw him, it was during the lucky dance scene, so I thought: “Yeah, I don’t think I will like that guy.” But day after day after day, I grew more attracted to him. I ended up opening my heart to him (not literally. Mentally.) I loved him so much that the Easter Bunny surprised me on Easter 2023 with a plush of him! He settled in very quickly, and I still have him to this day in fact and I love him sosososososoooooo much. On Halloween 2023, I saved his life a second time because he was suffering from spiritual pressure loss, and I saved his life right at the last second! He’s finally recovered and he’s been doing very well! I shall conclude by saying that Ikkaku is very underrated and deserves more love

The guy who trained Renji, Renji is literally portrayed as another Ichigo, Ichigo that only have the power of a Soul reaper.
Yet he is treated so badly, the guy who aims to beat Kenpachi one day.
Honestly I need that storyline to be finished, a fight between Ikkaku fully powered Bankai and fully awakened vs Kenpachi.
A full powered Kenpachi would accidently kill a full powered bankai Ikkaku with Kenpachi using only his Asauchi. Ikkaku is not as strong as fans think lol. Remember it took a using his bankai to beat a fraccion and in the middle of that fight he broke his bankai trying to cut Edrad. Ikkaku is a skilled fighter but he's really weak

In no universe is Ikkaku an underrated character in bleach. He gets so much praise and screentime.
Do you know why ikkaku is always related to something called "luck" in both the manga and the anime? Even in the anime Ikkaku says that "I am the luckiest man in all of the thirteenth division"
I think baldness is somehow related to luck in Japanese culture.

I am quite curious as to why people never mention his "lucky" fighting style. Unlike zaraki who nerfs himself to enjoy the fight. Ikkaku gambles mid fight by making dumb and risky moves to make it more fun

i never understood why ikkaku basically took a backseat after the first arrancar invasion, i loved him and was hoping that he would get his time to shine in the TYBW but nope dude basically was assigned to background character, when you cant throw schecoffs gun and then not use it, like is everyone still fanficking about ikkaku surpassing Kenpachi becuase i am

ikkaku is not underrated he is just weak lol.
Renji asking him to be captain was ridiculous becasue Ikkaku does not have the power of a Captain and this was plainly stated when Iba told him to grow the fck up and stop being Arrogant thinking that because you have Bankai your all that, he then told him look at what a real Bankai is.
Ikkaku was a 3rd Seat who had Vice Captain level Power with Bankai, Renji had already surpassed him by the time SS arc came along as confirm by Ichigo fight.
Ikkaku Power level is at best Grade 5 which is Average Vice Captain level by the end of series, a Captain is Grade 3 which is 2 tiers above Ikkaku.
Exactly!!! I laughed when weak ass Ikkaku thought anyone would care about him having a bankai and in his words would hound him about becoming a captain when in reality half the lieutenants are stronger than him.
