this thing of being fate, although having nothing to do with bleach, is something that happens until some point in Apotheosis, where is a manga of cultivation....
SPOILER: and the "will of the world" is the main character's father, he chooses the fights his son fight and makes all he can do to make him stronger to be able to make his future plan work, where here my point is not about the stagnation but about the main character itself, his battles may have been manipulated, but the choices he made and the outcome of them were all done by himself.

I think the reason why ginjo is a soul king candidate is because he absorbed not only ichigo soul reaper powers, he also absorbed his hollow, Quincy, and fullbring powers which is why he’s a candidate.

@@sacoto98yeah... but Uryu also took a small amount of Yhwach's blood and gained a schrift on Almighty's level.
Basically, Ginjo much like Uryu always had that potential but he needed a little taste to awaken that talent.
Another example is how Quilge Opie's schrift jump-started the quincy reiatsu "memories" forgotten in Ichigo's reiatsu.
Basically, certain talents can lay dormant within the soul itself, unless it's exposed to a similar energy it may well never be discovered.
Kenpachi Zaraki as well, it took dying 1000s of times to awaken his true reiatsu which was "forgotten".

I really hope that we get an actual fight between full power Ichigo and Soul King Yhwach. We would be able to see why Yhwach saw Ichigos Bankai as so fearsome, that he decided to break his blade. But in the anime they could change it so at first they actually have a fight, but then Ichifgo starts getting the upper hand, Yhwach gets scared and before it is too late he shatters Ichigos blade. Based on the fact that there is seemingly going to be a lot of added content for cour 4 and just overall, I think they could defintely give us a lengthy showoff between those two.

My personal theory is very similar to this one but I always thought about Ichigo having some sort of reverse ability, as in, the Almighty let the user see the possible futures and choose one for themselves meanwhile Zangetsu locks them out of the equation letting Ichigo break the laws of causality, that's why Yhwach saw his defeat as a dream, because it was an impossible future that became possible when all the others were erased. It fits with Ichigo's quote about shattering fate and it's difference to the Almighty could be explained by Ichigo having hollow powers meanwhile the previous incarnations didn't

What i wish they gonna do when ichigo uses his bankai in the anime. That we gonna see ichigo literally stomp yhwach, than by that final slash when he tactically kills him. we see it was actually just a vision from yhwach that he saw in the „future“. And than we gonna see yhwach breaking his bankai.

That's kind of what happens in the manga. He has a vision of Ichigo killing him with a sword that looks like his old Shikai, so Yhwach destroys his Bankai ahead of time to make sure that's stopped. Instead he creates the outcome. This can be expanded upon for sure, but that is basically what happens.

This helped me cultivate a theory: The almighty is immune to the almighty.
It would explain why the SK would hold the animosity toward the soul reapers for being betrayed, while also explaining why he agreed to it in the first place and didn't resist. He knew he was going to be the balance of the multiple worlds, but because he couldn't see his own future, he didn't see the mutilation coming (so Reio could see the results being favorable, without knowing his ultimate fate).
It would also explain why mimihagi was hidden. Not that yuha was weaker, just it doesn't work.
So if we take your theory, and combine it with mine, then the fledgling almighty power ichigo has is him subconsciously utilizing the power to change the future, to defy fate. Shit it also provides explanations of why orihime and Chad develop powers. They became more and more pronounced the more time around ichigo they were, almost like shrifts

    • @williamklemp3764

Another point I feel should be acknowledged is that whenever Ichigo got a zenkai boost, so did Chad and Orihime. Sure, they trained for it, but I feel like it wasn't available for them until that point even if they had trained the rest of their lives, until Ichigos power also increased, since he's the "Anchor" for their spiritual powers

  • @EleonoreMagilinon
    @EleonoreMagilinon Před rokem +20

It's amazing that I was thinking along the same lines just yesterday.
But actually, I've came to a conclusion that is a bit different.
I used to think along the lines of Ichigo attaining powers close to the Soul King, and his bankai being able to metaphorically cut fate... but then, I went on and thought of it in a slightly different perspective (that doesn't take away that choice that Ichigo makes, since otherwise it doesn't really fit with what Kubo's values he is putting into his story).
There's actually a strong theme in the novels, CFYOW, mainly told through Urahara's narrative, which, long story short, come to the idea that one person should not make ultimate decisions about the fates of everyone all by himself. That the system behind the Soul King being the lynchpin or the center of the world is ultimately flawed in itself (because it's a sacrifice of the soul with a free will for 'the greater good' and not only because of that), and also the idea of someone being a free-will Soul King is also flawed (that's why Aizen was wrong, because he was doing it out of his ego imposing his will on others), because one person cannot possibly embody all there is to the world in one perspective, his own. It should be a collective decision that came from the desire of everyone in the world to change.
Why am I making a detour to say all that?
It's because this way, the idea of Ichigo being (close in power to the) the Soul King, and the idea of there being a savior or a person to push world to move and change, just one person at the time, for me goes against the whole message.
So Ichigo isn't that (just like on the whole other level, Urahara isn't that as an inventor).
    He is actually the opposite.
He's not the almightly character that saves everyone all on his own.
He's the one who stops, time after time, those who strive to become that ultimate power house-- Aizen, Yhwach and anyone else who would try. And then return to his ordinary life.
He's not the one to seek power for power or someone who wants to change the world (like those two did). He is just a part of the world, he accepts it and he just wants to live in it together with the people he cares about, and protects that wish of his.
I agree that, in a way, he, at times, embodies the will of the world to continue to evolve. But I don't think he is the same in that regard as the Soul King, or Yhwach, or Aizen. They all embodied the power all by themselves, they imposed their will on the world. He doesn't.
But what is The Almightly in essense, if we speak about the Soul King and Yhwach? It's omnipotence, so, in a way, it's cutting off the endless possibilities of how things could go and force the future to become predetermined, only one way the things can go, the way the user wants it to go.
    What does Ichigo do?
He breaks that predeterminacy by making up a different possibility.
He makes it so there is still a fragment of indeterminacy left in the world which allows the choice to exist, allows different ways it can go to exist. Which makes it possible for people make their choices, which protects the concept of the free will.
For him in the final battle it also meant he made it possible for a different version of the future to exist, and also used it himself to make it go a different way, by making that choice.
So I believe that what Ichigo's bankai does is it cuts predeterminacy.
Slightly different from cutting fate, as if fate truly exists it's something of a higher level which (in every mythology) cannot be altered by neither humans nor gods. The Almightly is not fate but rather an artificial attempt to reach that level, but as it is controlled by just one imperfect being, it fails to. It strives to impose predeterminacy according to the will of its user, but it's something the world fights rejects, as it leads to stagnation and also takes away that crucial thing, the choice and the free will of each individual. It's an attempt to oppress the world and anyone in it by just one person's will, and that could never lead to anything good.
In that way, I believe that while Ichigo's powers resemble the Almighty in many ways, rather than being the Almightly, his powers are, in essense, a manifestation of the direct opposite of it, balancing the scales of the world, creating the duality.
What he brings to the world is change in its purest form, in a metaphorical way you can call chaos, something unstructured that causes the world to once again have ambiguity, choice, possibilities. The Almightly, in a way, stands for order and structure in its purest form, pushing towards ultimate stagnation in the way it imposes predeterminacy (and that is death, the same way only pure chaos couldn't contain life). Ichigo's powers stand for chaos, indereminacy, ambiguity, choice. It's not the power to rule the world, it's the power to stop someone from ruling it, to protect the balance.
And in way, that power, in my opinion, exceeds the Almightly in a way it doesn't have a goal to be on top. It doesn't push the world towards the stagnation, as it doesn't impose that determinacy in any way, it just opens up the possibilities.
Just like Ichigo, it's wielder, doesn't want to impose anything on others, he just protects their right to make their own choices.
    That's my take on it.
P.S. Anyways, it should also be mentioned that Shiba ancestor worked on a technique that would allow him to replace the Soul King as the lynchpin, so, it was a power on a Soul King's level. If Getsuga Tenshou ends up being that technique (which is far from certain, but it's a possibility) it further enforces this connection and links Ichigo to the Soul King powers.
P.P.S. As a sidenote, I think the difference between the Soul Kings and Yhwach's Almightly is that Yhwach's is ultimately incomplete. There's a part of the 'full' Almightly (which equals what the Soul King had), however tiny, that did not 'go' into Yhwach's Almightly, and that's because it went into the Antithesis. I think Yhwach's Almighty together with the Antithesis could have equaled full Almighty, but-- they went to two different people. And that's why Uryuu's repeatedly said to be the one who is on equal ground with Yhwach and outside of his influence (up to the point that it might be that Yhwach didn't choose not to take Uryuu's shrift, but that he just couldn't, that theme of 'being outside one's field of influence' being there again, for both Ichigo and Uryuu). Those parts might be far from equal, but the fact Antithesis exists and Uryuu possesses it breaks the omnipotence of Yhwach's Almighty, as it also leaves that one tiny pieces uncovered by Yhwach's influence. And it might be that not only Ichigo's bankai ability, but also the one that Uryuu possess that somehow did the trick.
I guess we'll see it in the future in the anime, how Kubo ultimately decides to play it.

@@EleonoreMagilinon Great theory! One of the best I've seen in comment sections definitely. I like the idea of Ichigo having the ability to oppose fate. It does make me think, that he might be able to defeat anyone regardless of power level, which on the one hand seems like it takes away from his personal stirve, because he would always come out on top, because that's what the world desires - not to be ruled by the most powerful individual resulting in stagnation. On the other hand it doesn't take away Ichigo achievements as this power is not something he has at his disposal at all times, but it awakens in battle, when it is needed. He wanted to give up, he was in despair multiple times. In arancar arc, in fake karakura town arc, in fullbring arc and after his blade was broken when his ban kai was shattered in confrontation with Yhbach at the soul king palace. (I don't remember clearly all instances) He had the choice to give up and lose, but with the help of his friends he was willing to fight again, even when it seemed there was no way for him to win. He has actively chosen to fight, regardelss of the odds, out of his own free will. He wasn't just a world's puppet.
Regardless, I don't like the idea of his power being limitless in a way, where opponents with absurd omnipotent powers show up and he awakens more absurd power or there is a loop hole in omnipotent power. I like to view Ichigo as someone with extreme potential, who finds a way to conquer the seemingly impossible challenge just by engaging in it and giving his all. I'd rather focus on theme of the ability/potential we possess to overcome every obstacle, regardless of ours and everyone perception of it, just by deciding to engage every power at out disposal to conauer it. I digressed with it. I can hear Aizen words on the back of my head critisizing the choice to see truths thst appeal to my line of thinking, instead of focusing on the objective facts. Yet people defy situations that objectiveley seem to be deemed to failure. In the end sometimes what we think is and objective fact, it is only our perception of it.

The Soul King created a sort of peace, but ultimately gave himself up to be split. Yhwach, after his initial failure at the hands of the Soul Society, managed to gain the role to reshape the world but was almost immediately defeated because he had willingly underestimated Ichigo. Ichigo managed to defeat Yhwach, but refused any position and entrusted the authority to others to return to his mostly normal life.
If the "will of the world" pushes the people into their power to prevent stagnation, it still seems up to the individual how they use this power. Ichigo's will was important because if he had faltered or chosen differently then he would have achieved a different result.

Here’s what was always my theory.
The Soul King indirectly planned all of this YEARS ago.
After the First Quincy War, the world changed forever.
AYwach went into the shadows to rebuild an army correct?
With the sole intentions of devouring the SK and changing the world forever.
So, the SK, who still has the Almighty mind you, started to conceive a plan to bring in a new era.
It started with the birth of both Urahara and Aizen.
These two individuals were BORN with genius level intellect, and a conscious awareness of the higher order of things.
Urahara became a captain who replaced the former captain who created the artificial soul (a aspect that Urahara would use heavily to influence the events of the future)
Aizen became a vice captain who heavily influenced his division aswell.
Both characters CONVENIENTLY created the Hougyuko, a device the laid at a higher plain of existence, that would help shape the new world.
Aizen wanted to dissolve the barrier separating hollow and shinigami, a key plot device that would again, help shape the new world.
Fast forward a hundred years from Urahara banishment.
Ichigo is conceived, from a Quincy mother, Shinigami father, with a Hougyoku influenced hollow soul.
This is exactly the Crescendo of the SK plan.
To help create a being that has the potential to be the golden Star of this New World, that can stop Ywach, who , without this Star Child, would be unstoppable.
Ichigo was not some random occurrence, but a literal 1k year long plan by the SK, to create a being with all aspects of Himself, aswell as an extra aspect he lacked (Hollow powers), all to stop Ywach, and usher in a new age of power.
The Hougyoku is the greatest credit to this I believe, as the idea behind what the Hougyoku is is nothing short of ‘The Power of God’.
It had to be the SK that influenced this current era through intricate pullings of each individuals fate…a power we see used by Ywach ( albeit in a much weaker form from what the SK could do).
In His death, the SK was probably confident his final contingency plan (Ichigo), would stop Ywach from completely destroying the world

Me personally - I completely agree that Ichigo's ability can b e described as "The Power to Shatter Fate". But I like to take it more literally. Yhwach showed as, that future is not a straight line - it's a tree with infinite branches growing from every moment in time.
So Ichigo's ability allow him to cut away, to shatter fates that does not lead him to the goal he chooses. In the main story he usues it subconsciencly, but as he grow in power and understanding of his power, I believe he would be able to control this version of The Allmighty completely accurate.
This concept does not take away anything from his character growth, because the endeng point is not as important as the path to it.

There is also the factor that pre-Blade is me Zangestu isn't truly a zanpakuto either it was just a "quasi-zanpakto". So it having a Bankai that lacks a lot of qualities a bankai should have might also be due to that factor.

personally, I would prefer his Bankai to be something of a Schrift-like ability that is unique to him and him alone
seeing as how Yhwach, even with the Almighty, was so terrified of that he HAD to break Zangetsu before the ability get's activated
    something like "A" - Absolution.
an ability that allows him to guarantee an outcome whenever he swings Zangetsu, regardless of infinite possible ways to get to said outcome. the only caveat, of course, is that the outer "shell" of the blade needs to be broken off first.
this would make sense because no matter how much Yhwach changes the future he would STILL see himself be cut down by Ichigo that's why he HAS to prevent the ability itself from activating rather than fight it head on.
or ya know, at least that's what I think it should be. I mean Kubo can probably think of something better.

If Ichigo's power were to basically react to events in order to instinctively manipulate the present, that would make a lot a sense, i mean... he did learned all of his skill set out of necessity and in record time, and even managed to HEAL himself after 'dying' in his battle with Ulquiorra, and avoided death by instinctively learning Blut Vene in his first fight against Ywach, and instinctively sticking his hands in Oetsu Nimaiya's forge to draw out two zanpakuto. I guess you could say then Ichigo is indeed a reactive character LOL

  • @ScarGus
    @ScarGus Před rokem +1

I believe that until "the blade is me" Ichigo was using either Quincy or Hollow powers and they were not integrated with shinigami side until he forged two blades
After regaining his powers in fullbring arc his shikai looked way to similar to Yhwach's blade
Old Man Zangetsu was a Quincy incarnation inside of Ichigo's soul
So when Old Man was responsible for creating a bankai for him alone instead working with White
What was the most fearsome bankai he could imagine?
What was the apex of shinigami power he could search for in his memory?
Bankai that condensed all user's powers into a common - looking blade
a Bankai that allows user to wear it's power
a Bankai that was powerful enough to defeat him a thousand years ago - ZANKA NO TACHI
When he was using Hollow powers he also used them separately in form of a mask - like visards
In form of a full hollowfication during his fight with Ulqiorra
But not truly integrating all his different powers as one
I believe your theory to be correct, and a moment we see in trailer when Ichigo might be seeing or feeling glimpses of Soul King's life might be the moment universe felt those powers merging together
    (This time permanently unlike Mugetsu)
and just clicked, we never got to know what happened with Ichigo in that moment and what exactly Yhwach feared but I hope we'll find out when the anime comes out!

  • @1234andrewjacksmith
    @1234andrewjacksmith Před rokem +1

I mean I would say it is Ichigo bankai in part because Byakuya even says it but white more so says here let me show you how to use bankai, Also there is quite a few bankai that are even more simple like oh it is your shikai but more(Byakuya so similar he later is able to make someone with experience with his bankai that his shikai is that), Ikkaku which is pretty much just raw power, as well as Komamura. or how Byakuya does not remotely question Renji's fake bankai
though something to remember is what Yoruichi says to Ichigo and Yammamoto repeats with how his bankai has changed over the 1000 years, the users power and skill affect the appearance and powers of shikai and bankai.
also both of them were the source of Ichigo power even during the dangai and before cause the true nature is both of them in one body like we see white go into old man during the zaraki fight(white even says go back), like white even says during the whole fight in Vizarrd training, I am zangetsu, the old man is zangetsu and they are one and the same(dangai even calls out together they are the source of his power) also the zangetsu he is holding and that Ichigo is holding also similar to how in the dangai young man denies being zangetsu because he is Tensa zangetsu , white does the same thing with Ichigo bankai that is not zangetsu, I am.
I would say it makes perfect sense that zangetsu learns bankai at the same time as Ichigo because he is Ichigo this is kind of the whole point why getting stabbed in the heart by the blade because how could Ichigo hurt Ichigo but something that is also clear is that zangetsu knows how to use it from the getgo like he says and calls Ichigo at just copying him
also like how the horn is kind of separate from his zanpakuto despite how we know hollow/fulbring naturally mix together since he can activate bankai on his own but he doesn't know how to activate horn of salvation by himself yet, similar to how Tosen used his zanpakuto to use his resurrection and it has a similar name
also Yhwach right away broke Renji shikai and his bankai(what he thought here), since Azien blade could resist the almighty because Aizen was playing all three roles in that fight, like he said to Ichigo don't despair please, oh yeah now you can despair, he was just messing with him, why despite saying he could afford no mistakes against just Ichigo shikai and hollow power on to the point of activating the Almighty pretty much right away
though something to bring up according to the novels Yhwach only became able to become the soul king after he ate the soul king and Minihagi and it was a good thing he did that otherwise Ichigo would have to be used as was the original plan
Uryu is also something to bring up since he resisted the Auswählen as a kid said to be able to surpass Yhwach power by Yhwach and at least his power the antithesis and the direct look he had to when he went to awaken it were all unseen by the Almighty despite Jugrem saying he had seen the outcome of Yhwach vs Ichigo, like we see with the Y twins how they sort of had their power even before Yhwach.
though I would wonder if Ichigo could awaken the Almighty as part of his quincy power in the same way his Quincy power was dormant until tybw because while his powers are one they are called out differently

  • @corruptangel6793
    @corruptangel6793 Před rokem +1

Ginjo is a Soul King Candidate because he's a fullbringer and thus has a piece of the Soul King inside him, meaning he has the power of a Quincy through that.
Ichigo's Bankai was a threat because of Old Man Zangetsu who is effectivly a independent clone of Yhwach due to Ichigo's inner world. Meaning Ichigo has a piece of the Soul King to hinder the Almighty in a similar, albiet, lesser degree than Mimihagi. Remember, his Bankai is two blades in one, with the outer shell being Old Man Zangetsu. So the reason Yhwach couldn't properly see the inner blade and thus nullify it's power was because Old Man Zangetsu was hiding it. So he probably saw Ichigo's Bankai being able to cut him down in several possible futures but couldn't figure out how.
I do think people missunderstand Yhwach in that moment though. He never actually calls Ichigo's Bankai state a threat. He only ever says that he's giving it respect by preemptively destroying it. He is acknowledging its power, but never actually claims or implies he could/would lose if he didn't break it.
As for his Bankai ability, I think it's a simple Power Type Zanpakuto and the ability is the power to change and reform at will. Not only does the outer shell represent Ichigo always get back up, meaning you will have to break his Bankai twice over to actually do lasting damage, but the fact he can choose which form his Zanpakuto takes, not to mention his Hollowfication that he can use simultaneously, perfectly represents his hybrid nature. Then obviously there is Getsuga Tenshou to vastly increase striking power.
At the end of the day Ichigo is a very simple and direct person and his fighting style and Zanpakuto reflects that. I don't think he has any hax or even fate manipulation. He takes threats head on and perserveres no matter what. And that's what his Bankai does and does extremely well.

Can you make a video about origin of zanpakuto because i am a bit curious about it's origin. Not specifically about the origin but about what is shikai and bankai generally. Because to my headcannon shikai and bankai is like a cage, seal. Seal that created by Nimaiya, not the creation specifically but the method. There is a blade and inside that blade there is a soul has no name no purpose= asauchi. Think of a bird in a cage. You are feeding it with your own soul and you are opening the cage but when the bird is out it is in a bigger cage= shikai and then the next time it is bankai. Bankai and shikai is a "release" but we know kubo loves to play around with words. So if the soul that inside the cage can be free maybe then, soul reapers will go back to their origin of fighting style only with their blades but their hands and spells. We saw similar cases with a more experienced soul reaper can bring out their shikai without any word, Yamamoto fought Wonderweiss withouth his Zanpakuto but used it's power with his fists. I am no talking about hakuda (soukotsu) btw. They can use their powers more freely not under the noble clans and Central 46's orders of releasing their powers in order(shikai and bankai).. That is headcannon obviously but what do you think about it? Is it worth making a video about?

    @dustinbragg1921 Před rokem

Small correction, but White learning Bankai the very moment Ichigo did is canon compliant. That's how learning Bankai works, your zanpakuto normally doesn't know how to do it or use it until you attain it. Attaining Bankai is a moment of growth and discovery for both Shinigami and Zanpakuto. Now once you do attain it it's entirely possible, and likely probable, that your zanpakuto will have a better grasp of the nature of the Bankai and how to utilise it than you do, but that's just how it is. Attaining Shikai is about learning how to commune with your sword and how to use it. Attaining Bankai is about demonstrating mastery of communion and utilization, proving your worthiness so that your sword will submit and acknowledge you as its master. Once you do you gain access to the full measure of your power, and from there you begin again to learn and demonstrate mastery over what you have attained.
It's my personal headcanon for why Ichigo, Renji, Toshiro, and Kenny all have/had funky Bankai.
Ichigo never had a proper Zanpakuto to begin with and Ywachgetsu was interfering in things too so Ichigo was doing everything based off a false premise and faulty tools. He was never going to get to the right conclusion that way.
Renji demonstrated his worthiness and mastery albeit in an abridged way, and perhaps as a result misunderstood what he had attained.
During their trip to the Soul King's palace both Ichigo and Renji correct these faults.
Toshiro did everything properly and does understand his power, but he did it too early. His body simply cannot properly accomodate what he attained. He can however temporarily force his body into a state capable of bearing that power.
And Kenny is just awful at every part of attaining Bankai, but his sword likes him so much that it acknowledges him anyhow. Of course because he entirely lacks any degree of understanding or mastery of his sword and power is it any surprise that his Bankai is deformed and out of control?

This also ties in with Engetsu, Ichigo's path to attaining it, and Aizen's downfall. I believe that Ichigo's "initiation" of being stabbed by Zangetsu is similar to the Soul King relinquishing his freedom to change fate. Consequently, Engetsu is a blade that cuts fate or maybe more accurately, altering the path to fate but at the cost of Ichigo forfeiting his Shinigami powers.
Engetsu cutting Aizen wasn't enough to kill him as Aizen himself mentioned but changed the Hogyoku's alignment or in other words, reinterpretation and change of focus of Aizen's desire. This resulted in Aizen in a way achieving his desire in the long run but changed the path he was going to take to reach that fate considering his role in the endgame of TYBW. Though he did not effectively replace the Soul King, he played the role in changing the balance of powers and rebelled against the Soul King and Yahweh Bach then became the new Soul King.
Haven't thought this out completely but I think there's something to this.

Fullbring power, is the power to bring out the soul of an object, but that power itself comes about through hollow riatsu invading another being during conception. At least that is my understanding of the power. That's why Ichigo can obtain fullbring because he is also a hollow. If the soul king was also a fullbring user, than wouldn't that mean he has some kind of hollow riatsu in his being?
Also, I think ichigo's fate manipulation ability is an ability to challenge fate, rather than being able to see fate and manipulate it. A power to persevere and challange the hand that is dealt to you. Think about how ichigo first unlocked shinigami power, gain his fake bankai, gain access to his hollow transformation, ichigo's dangai/mugestu state and not permanently lose his power, fullbring(a new way to manifest his hollow powers in base state), access to his quancy power. Ichigo's true bankai reflects this ablitly to challenge fate. I also think that's why Yhwach wanted to break ichigo's bankai, thinking that that would stop his ability to challenge him.

  • @yoboyrob201

Before finishing the video I have to say this, ichigo’s original bankai can still be considered a bankai. Because while it was being controlled by ichigo’s Quincy abilities, it was still making use of his hollow/shinigami powers. What ichigo had should be considered as an incomplete bankai at worse. Because the whole thing was that he was being spoon fed his shinigami powers. Which is why he just got some attribute status effects, instead of an actual ability or manifestation of what his powers should probably be. So still bankai, just not completely

I think Haschwalth should be included as one of the characters who can use the Almighty, because it was through him ( not Yhwach) that first foreseen Yhwach being cut down by Ichigo's original Zangetsu blade. It's as though Haschwalth's inability to alter the future allows him to see the one true future to an extent. Also, Haschwalth had the ability to share power since birth, just like Yhwach, which is why he is considered the other half, which in some ways make him directly connected to the Soul King, just not as strongly as Yhwach. Lastly, there is a text floating around that states Haschwalth can actually wield the Almighty more than just having precognition, just that Uryu's power surpasses that power, which reflects on him being stated to have the ability to surpass Yhwach himself.

It's quite possible ichigos power is so great it can overcome the almightys influence over ichigo, soul king yhwach said he had no room for error after ichigo started to synchronize with the white zangetsu and he merged with his hollow/shinigami powers. Had the battle continued its possible ichigo could synchronized with his quincy/shinigami powers as well just in shikai.
Though it's possible ichigo doesn't even have a true shikai/bankai since he's so unique, even more than yhwach and the original soul king because he's hollow as well, something yhwach and soul king didn't have.
So it might be possible ichigo does have an almighty type ability but not with his eyes but with his will, instead of changing the future with his eyes he changes the future according to what he believes is the right course and its proven he can change the future because how else could he have KILLED a SOUL KING, MIMIHAGI, LEFT ARM AND SK HEART absorbed yhwach who also had absorbed ichigos own power and all of the sternritter along with the schutzstaffel? Ichigo casually sliced him in two, twice with no effort and ichigo had barely any stamina left.
But his power erupts forth from within him and he knows he has basically an endless well to draw power from. Yhwach even stated that ichigo has the power to change the future and so does orihime but he couldnt predict his own death until it was too late, meaning ichigo has something yhwach lacks even after he absorbed so much power and had the almighty and all the other powers and abilities of all the other schrifts.

I went into this with some thoughts pre-loaded that I'm struggling to retain. Forgive me as my brain kinda phased out around the middle but, *you are cooking.* 🔥
So I expected Zanpakuto ability discussion. Instead you've opened my mind again to greater Bleach Lore. Even saw your RT from a time ago comparing it to "certain other shonen."
I did bring up we never saw Ichigo actually attain Bankai with Zangetsu in a prior video. If what I said then happened to cause a realization if it wasn't already in your head I'd feel incredibly honored.
So as of now it seems Kubo is pointing out or otherwise we're just as a community realizing weaknesses to the seemingly unbeatable abilities. (As much as it hurts the Power Scaler in me.) I completely forgot Yhwach was blind to Mimihagi and didn't think of the greater implications. And when you were first speaking on things I immediately thought of the final fight of Hellverse in which Ichigo says something like "Hell itself is asking me to defeat you." Making me wonder if the world if not the Soul King truly has a "Will." Bleach actually does have themes against Stagnation. Aizen's Timeskip speech is kinda underrated. What's ironic though is Kisuke was kinda playing the stagnation role in terms of Nietzscheism to Aizen was he not?
Besides that we have the ever present theme of Death. Without it which Yhwach wanted a theoretical Utopia, humans lose progress and a will to resist something.
"We have a name for that act of stepping forward- Kazui!" This actually makes me a bit depressed though because this makes it seem thematically that peace is impossible in the Bleach World. I thought of Hellverse as stated before you brought up the potential connection to the Hell Arc itself. It connects well. I truly think you're onto something.
So Ichigo is like a living Avatar following a Cycle of a "Will" of each Race or faction of the World seeking to prevent a stagnation that would be peace? Am I correct in my understanding? (I'm too lazy to rewatch the parts I phased out for I'm sorry. 😢)
Other than that in regards to ability itself...I'm still sad over missing whatever theory crafting stream and not being told anything so I'm keeping my own theory of it to myself still. I will say that everything you said kinda gives "thematic reasoning" to my interpretation. Like an explanation of why it would be Ichigo's ability. Not much has changed on the interpretation itself from either side though.

  • @lo4tr
    @lo4tr Před rokem +1

Ichigo's old 'Bankai' is not a Bnaki simply because he doesn't have a Zanpakuto. Hell, his old 'Shikai' is not a Shikai either. What he has is a Quincy Spirit Weapon that he uses to channel the Hollow/Shinigami aspects of his powers through. Yhwach Zangetsu is forcibly suppressing the Shinigami aspects of his power, therefore his abilities take on a more hollowfied form. That's why Ichigo is just getting straight power boosts when going into higher forms, much like Hollows do upon Ressurecion. The reason he can only use Getsuga is because it's a family technque and not one tied to his Zanpakuto.
Also, taking some time to think on the Soul King and the existence of everything... the fact that he didn't have Hollow powers might be the reason that he allowed himself to be mutilated. If we assume that Yhwach's existence could only happen because the Soul King was dismembered, and that Yhwach would be the Soul King candidate that the OG Soul King could have seen, maybe that was the whole point. He sets things up so that the Shingami get a grudge war, allowing the formation of the Goteii 13 in response, leading to the perfect scenario for Aizen to take over, allowing the Hogyoku to alter the nature of Hollows, allowing Ichigo to be born of Quincy AND Hollow, allowing Yhwach to absorb the Quincy aspect of Ichigo's power tainted by the Hollow.... It could very well be that the Soul King is setting up a new linchpin that has access to ALL power instead of just some of it.
This could even lead into the Hell arc ideas. Hell existed outside the realms of everything else, so maybe the Soul King needed to have a balance of every power in order to prevent Hell's influence from overtaking everything. His own power wasn't completely balanced because he didn't have Hollow power. However, now with Yhwach being implanted as the new Soul King, he has access to varying levels of all types of power from

You know what really dumb about ichigos bankai is that if its just the seal form of his zanpakto in its scabbard the juha broke it ichigo should have been able to fix it with his own riatsu because in the lore shinigami can repair thier zanpacktos in both sealed form and shikai but not bankai

It’s been a theory since we first saw his true Bankai that it contained the power to change fate. I hope it’s elaborated on in the anime.

Have we considered that Ichigo is a Quincy like Jugram and Yhwach? Think about it, he's always had trouble manipulating spiritual energy and it takes him literally being submerged in quincy energy of the Jail to even activate his quincy bloodline's passive blutvene. However his presence does spark people in his surroundings to gain spiritual awareness with some of them even manifesting powers of their own. I also don't think it's a coincidence that Uryu is the only member of Ichigo's gang to continuously stay at-pace with the increasingly more dangerous adversaries in the story of bleach.
There are 3 individuals in Bleach to wield the almighty. Ichigo is a candidate to replace one of them should the need arise and the other two are Yhwach and Jugram.
I think it's very possible that Ichigo may have the potential to wield the almighty, however I don't think Tensa Zangetsu's true power is that because some inherent blood destiny thing really isn't what a Bankai is really meant to represent. I suppose that it can be related in cases, but I think Tensa Zangetsu's true power is a lot simpler than the fandom wants it to be.
Attaining a Bankai is self-actualization. You literally wrestle a manifestation of yourself, your true self, into submission, gain the true name of your power and can now wield that strength as your own at will. Granted, that's a starting point, you may have gained an understanding of your true self, but it's a long road to mastering it.
Ichigo's should, at least in theory, represent him coming to terms and truly understanding all the facets of his power. Meaning that the manifestation of all of that, or his full self is the conceptual ability of Tensa Zangetsu. Someone like Tosen can't use bankai and resurrección at the same time, they're mutually exclusive. I don't think Ichigo is restricted in that same way. This also holds true for his quincy abilities.
To not mince words, I think what the community has dubbed "Vasto Lorde Ichigo" is literally just Ichigo's resurrección. I think "horn of salvation" is basically the same ability being manifested. Ichigo's bankai would then give him the **potential** to use any such advanced transformations or special abilities at the same time. Resurrección, Vollstandig, True Bankai, Final Getsugatensho whatever. In theory, nothing's stopping Ichigo from learning Shunko and augmenting his speed with sonido, bringerlight and hirenkyaku like Hikone and just outspeeding someone like Yoruichi despite investing substantially less effort into mastery of speed arts.
But I digress, I think Ichigo is possibly one of those special, once-in-a-generation quincy and his bankai's power is exactly what his designation as a war potential was.

I think this nigh-uncanny ability of the BLEACH-Verse being able to have enough sentience to 'choose' individuals and when to introduce chaos not only explains the villains of the major arcs and their introduction (to an extent) but it also gives another dimension/new definition to the word 'fate'. Maybe 'fate' in the BLEACH universe is that which is going to cause chaos next and that which it'll balance it out, and then rinse & repeat!
And I'm going to agree with you, Rebirth, that the introduction of Hell in the manga and the fact the Original Sin might well play a bigger role in it (along w/ the events of CFYOW) means that the universe or this invisible sentience is once again going to play a heavy hand.
And hell, if Kubo does continue the manga with Kazui and company, then I can only wonder: does this mean new soul types/beings will be created/introduced to facilitate and ensure that the Chaos-Balance Cycle (just roll with it!) continues onwards? I have a feeling that may not be too far off.
But great video as always, Rebirth. Keep it up!

So my take on ichigos power has always been a little meta, but considering ichibes power is over the ink of the pages I think its worth considering. So both Zangetsus represent excatly what you talking about in this video, Old man is regression and White is progressing. Not just in terms of the world but the narrative itself. Ichigos power is that he is the protagonist of the story, hes unbound by the future able to make his own choices in a way noone else can. Thats why ywach cant read his future, he can change it at will. If you follow the narrative and which Zangetsu is being embraced or rejected by ichigo, it shows whether hes being acitve or passive. This is why the criticism of ichigo being passive always bugged me, its literally written into his powers and part of his journey to become an active character

I think ichigo power is absolute fate decide or something like that. that thing and future manipulation is two different thing, let me explain why, Consciously or not, everyone in the real world does what is called future manipulation, Whether you realize it or not, everyone in the real world does what is called future manipulation, for example, you really like to eat, whatever food is in front of him, he will definitely finish it and do you know what kind of future awaits that person? Yes, it's true it's diabetes, high blood pressure, etc., then he realized that if he continues like this the future that will await him is as I mentioned earlier, so he tries diet, exercise, yoga, meditation, etc. Until finally he became a healthy person with a strong body and good body shape. This story proves that everyone can change the future, just like in the previous example where the future is to become a sick person (diabetes, Hypertension, etc.), to have a good future (to be healthy, have good muscles, etc.), but do you know how hard you try to change the future your fate is just one and that is death, and if you pay attention again my explanation was almost the same as tybw's story, starting from yhwach dreaming of dying at the hands of ichigo until the end of the tybw chapter, so does the real world even if you are healthy, have good muscles, etc. you still can't escape fate, because everyone's destiny is death, all healthy lifestyles don't escape death but only delay death.
And for ichigo devotees winning against yhwach because of the armor plot, I just want to tell you something that the person who kills the strongest character in the bleach story(soul king) is ichigo, and you also need to know that until when ichigo kills soul king, he is still have almighty, if yhwach vs ichibe shows how strong almighty is, soul king can also do the same thing as yhwach did.

  • @nkosinamandlamavuso5612

Here's my 2 cents but look at the ability spectrum for conscious beings in a sense of talent vs procedural learn... One is a conscious effort (quincy all father's case) then unconscious effort or talent in ichigo's case where one actively attempts at manipulating causelity toward a certain direction and the other has another goal that affect causelity to a certain fate... Both require will to take effect... A factor toward fate manipulation is the common effect of Kings and how the direct the fate of a country and White addresses Ichigo as such! Your thoughts!?

I think Ichigo's Bankai in this case has the ability to sever a "string" of fate. I noticed reading the chapter that Yhwach was cut done for good, Yhwach had actually regained the Almighty, hence why Uryu said it was too late. The outer blade shattered, but the inner Zangetsu didn't. The difference is in that moment, the blade was being swung, as opposed to where it was first introduced, and broken by The Almighty. It leads me to believe that swinging the Bankai itself activates the effect to sever the "string" of Fate that would otherwise see one such as Yhwach the victor in all futures. That is my take.

Unconscious fate manipulation relies on feeling the flow of the universe towards your desired outcome without forceful alteration of fate or evident subversion of the universal will... So more on the lines of cooperation with the universe to acquire the desired outcome rather than contending with it!
