    Welcome back to Moped Rich. This is part two of the Tomos clutch repair.
    First, start out by removing the hose clamps from the clutches.
    Then with a razor blade, trim all the extra cork hanging from the sides of the clutch shoes.
    Cut the cork between the clutch shoes.
    Finally using the razor blade, cut the cork at an angle like a ramp at the ends of each clutch shoe.
    It’s the same process for the other clutch.
    Before installing the clutches let them sit in type F transmission fluid for a few hours or overnight.

    if I can directly ask for the thickness of the cork sheet, at least I'll look for it on other sites, thank you very much

      You might have to try an auto parts store. I should have the thickness in the description or on my blog.

      There should be links in the description on part 1 for the cork gasket materials and glue. I also have written instructions for this on mopedrich.com

    Moped Rich how do you install springs on tomos clutches?

    • @MopedRich
      @MopedRich  Před 4 lety +1

      according to the Tomos manual, you insert the spring clip area first then pry the rest of the spring on. In the image on the manual, they are using a vice to hold the clutch while they use both hands to get the spring on.

      @@rccl4487 Ill try to get my hands on a clutch and see if i can figure out a trick, but it does make sense the performance spring is going to be a bit harder to get on there.
