What's up my beautiful people!? I planned a last minute trip home to West Africa, Mali and got to surprise my parents before the end of 2023. I hadn't been back for 5 years and hadn't seen my dad in just as long. It was so awesome to be with my family and friends and take y'all along for the ride! Sorry that I didn't film anything in landscape - I was taking videos for IG stories and there was so much I wasn't able to post because of bad internet so I figured I'd just make it into a full video! Hope you enjoy running with me and experiencing my home!

Fascinating little insight into the house and place you grew up. I wasn't expecting such a big house with so many rooms. These videos of just daily life in other countries and cultures, especially the shopping in the markets, always make me happy. I usually don't like hectic places myself, that's why I'll just watch other people visit them 😅.
Oh and I desperately need a recipe for that peanut butter stew, I can smell it through my screen yum 😋

I recently started running and discovered your channel. Did not know you were Malian! I am from Mali too my family resides in Lafiabougou but I was born in Senegal and reside in Canada. I spent my childhood mainly in Dakar but would go to Bamako 1 month every year. It really felt good to hear your bambara and actually understanding what you were saying. Thank you for sharing!
