You don’t have to be rich to get house like that in Africa or especially Liberia. Everything over there should be 100-150k maximal.
Daniel Mouwon you’re absolutely right! You do not have to be rich but you do have to be financially stable especially if you would like to purchase either one of the million dollar homes available in Liberia or the others that are available for purchase in many other African countries.
Samera Wlue You have to be financially stable in any part of the world to own a million dollars house. In the western world, your house or land is three to two late property tax payments away from loosing it but in Liberia, we don’t pay all those taxes. So I rather own house over there then the US. And what you get for 300k(house) in the USA you might get a better one in some places in Africa for less then 100k. By the way I really like your house.

Barbara Sutton thanks for your kind words! Also, congratulations on your move! Ghana is a beautiful country with so much opportunity! I purchased all of my appliances once I got here. There is no need to ship those items in my opinion. You will definitely be able to find them easily.
My house dad had the house built for me years ago so I’m not actually sure of the cost. Sorry! I wish I could be more helpful!

Nice home, what can people do in Liberia to earn money; like what are some business ideas you will suggest?
Harvest Time thank you! Honestly, I may not be the best person since I’m new to the country. But I would just if you have a skill - speaking another language, great editing skills, good at math, etc - turn it into a job. Sell it as a service. You could also go into NGO work. But outside of that, in its current climate I don’t believe Liberia has the best job market.

Larry Wilkerson Living in Liberia has its challenges but it most certainly is a peaceful country. In reference to purchasing land, I am not the best person to speak with as I am unsure
Very nice house. I would like to move my family to Liberia. Are you from there? What do you do for a living there? What kind of businesses are needed there if I want to open one? How much is a chef? I'd like one too and a housekeeper.
A D thank you for the compliment! I am self-employed so I do contract work. But if you would like to move to Liberia definitely give it a try. I would suggest you visit for a month or two before making the decision to move. & yes, I am Liberian

ozan genç honestly, I figured why not! I’ve always wanted to experience life in a different country, I don’t have children nor am I married, and I’ve always wanted to learn more about my sarpo roots and our traditions. So I did it. I strongly believe that sometimes you just gotta take the chance and do what brings you joy.

Patricia Funches thanks! It’s definitely on the pricey side tbh but then again it also depends on your lifestyle. You can pay upwards of $2,000 a month in rent for an apartment or you can pay $700 and lack certain luxuries. You pay $100+ at grocery store or you can go to the local market. Everything is dependent.
