what about the sportsman gen 1000i
I baught a 1200 watt generator that has a 12 volt plug in. Can I jump a car or just charge the battery ? It's a firman
i realize I'm kinda off topic but does anybody know of a good place to watch newly released series online?
@Brett Mack Try Flixzone. You can find it by googling =)
@Warren Jimmy Yea, I have been watching on Flixzone for months myself :)
Superb video .. I have 2200w and 2300w gas inverters used interchangeable or together .. whisper quiet, super fuel efficient and gives me everything I need for long term outages ..including clean power. I store twenty gallons of stabilized fuel, it's all I need. Cheers ..
This is a great video thanks.
You make some nice videos and I have referred back to some of them for refresher learning (e.g. storing gasoline video). You provide a great service to your viewers. But I was surprised you operated that angle disc grinder without wearing safety glasses. In the pandemic era, PPE is more important and relevant than ever. But, please continue turning out your great and very helpful content.
Thank you I had to watch this again myself, I am really surprised I didn't have on eye protection either! Definitely a bad move on my part and I really do wear them most of the time but as you know it's always the one time that you don't that trouble happens. 100% accurate comment. Wear the glasses!
I appreciate your video because I am that guy who wants to operate an angle grinder out of his trunk. I wasn't sure if a LITTLE MINI GEN could get it done but I saw my very example handled without a hiccup. Thanks for the confidence.
now I have to consider cost as a con vs everything else which are all pros...
I am homeless with money at the moment. Covid (more like government reaction to it) has destroyed my life and I am considering a small generator like this might have to be my future....
I miss the 90's
I'm with you bud just gotta find a way to get creative, good luck to you
I miss the 90's also
I am a long time user of small i-generators. With a wireless thermometer in fridge and freezer, and a little running time frugality, I can live very comfy during a long outage on a gallon of gas per day. Fridge, fan, electronics and lighting ..TV and a DVD movie .. what more do I need?
i love mine i had it for years got it in 2011
Great video. Thanks.
Thank you very much
What is the run time, at full throttle and at half.
I have this generator with 220v output. It's really fuel efficient.
It is a very good one, extremely well built
Could you tell us how many watts and amps your heat system test required from the Yamaha? Great video!! Thank you!
I can't give you an exact figure but this is what was running during the test. Beckett AFG oil burner, primary control, a Beckett aquastat, two zone valve transformers,, Taco ZR201 zone control, taco circulator pump. At no time did the generator go into overload and it's maximum of 1000 watts with a running watts of 900 so the total draw was below that.
i wonder this devices modified sine or pure sine?
Also pure sine
I have a cabin. And four sockets. In my house.i need power for lamps, a solder gun, and. Fan. Also charge phone/ lap top. I'm curious about small gas gens tks om
You probably don't need a whole lot of capacity. If you have incandescent bulbs in your lamps you would want to put led ones in because they use way less power. If you figure out your total wattage that you intend to run at once, I think you would be good to pick an inverter generator with twice the capacity of your demand so it is not working hard and eating fuel. I'm no expert, just some guy on the internet, but that's what I would do. If you are running it at maximum running watts it will burn more fuel and not last as long. From what I understand most of these little generators should run for 1000-2000 hours before they are worn out if maintained and oil changed regularly. That is not really very long if you run one all day every day
@@juliogonzo2718 my main is inveter and running in 50/50 duty cycle subbing with extra panels. Looks like the way.c currently I have power for DVD/tv, soldering equipment, and lighting. . So a small gen will fit "well" in the bullpen at the ready tks
You could even pair it with one of those small "solar generators", which will use 2-300w to charge and can allow you to run the generator intermittently
i do that with my propane converted ex1000. bit of modification for an electric start and it's a self managed setup needing me to only check up on the fuel tank. even kept the solar input intact leaving that option open.
I’ll have to see if the Honda can run a 120v 15 amp corded single stage showblower tomorrow.
How much does it weigh?
Your heater system is it the 110 or 240 V
110v
Have you ever had or seen a Eu10? Not a typo, I believe it was the smallest honda ever made, was even smaller than the Eu1000 but it was only on the market for a short time.
The EU10i and the EU1000 are physically the same but the Eu10i is a 220V version sold outside the US
I would use API SJ Yamalube oil.
How many hours does a run-on
On this model about 8 hours
I saw theres a portable Honda Generator 2200 is it better than this Yamaha ???
Yes, I reviewed that one here: czcams.com/video/CLqSPvvO_8U/video.html it's a really nice machine.
See putting a generator in the same box ?
Those your legs in the thumbnail?
I too came here for the legs. I visit reel low dad for the calves and ranger panties 🤣
@@TheLawnStripes Ranger panties? I'm intrigued.
Not a chance, but it was a great way to get guys to sit through the video, hoping to get a look at the gal. Great and informative review with or without those legs
Ponjour jai en group yamaha ef 1000is demmari mai sarret pas
I want it to run the air condition in my rv
The real test if it can handle a 5000 btu window ac.
No safety glasses with that angle grinder? Shame!
Great video though.
Very true, must have been an off day for me. I usually am pretty good about that stuff.
@@SilverCymbal Stay safe- we want more videos! :)
Can it run a camp/ portable fridge for long periods ??
I was wondering that also. From I read it should be able to run a portable fridge up 1000 watts, I intend to purchase a 35 ltr port fridge.
Yamaha generators are excellent machines. The only one that comes close to Honda for overall quality and sound.
Why not sportsman's?
@@IceAge20017 uuuummmm... b/c it's a chinese POS. You po?
They exceed Honda in terms of reliability. The Yamaha's have cast iron cylinder liners
Okay two things they're all tested before they leave the manufacturer they've been run and gas draining oil drain for shipping second of all you say it's a thousand watt generator what startup wattage and what's running wattage is 1000 watt running or is that a thousand watt surge
Holy crap this generator is over $1000 dollars!! Lol its more than the honda 1000
MSRP $1,129.00 Way too high !!! Even if it will run 12 hours 1/4 load or 3.1 hrs full load on less then one gallon !! 2.5 L tank .
Gee no mention of size and weight
This one weighs about 38 lbs. My 2000 watt Yamaha doesn't weigh much more that the 1000 watt model.
I think Sportsman GEN1000i is smaller, quieter and cheaper than this one.
$$$?
To loud
Too"
Compared to what?
Filling it with oil seems unnecessarily difficult. Feels like a kludge. They all seem to be like that, so I assume it's 'necessary'.
Hello could I used that generator for an electric shower head?
Thumb nail . I was hoping to see the girl .
Its not smallest. Misleading bs
Another bullshit "self promotion" rather than a product review.
Unboxing, sound tests, actual use and even a hookup to a house. This is what's wrong with the world.
