I didn’t realise you folks over in the US didn’t have hover mowers. They’re pretty ubiquitous here in the UK for all the reasons you outline. Unfortunately, the Flymo of today is not the Flymo of yesteryear. The brand was sold off a few years ago, I don’t know who to, and new Flymo mowers are very cheaply and badly made. It’s a shame, because the original Flymos were excellent.

One major mistake most people make is pulling the tape too strongly as they wrap it, to the point where it shrivels into a thin rope. It should be flat across the threads with just enough tension to grip them.😮

To be honest,l I know nothing about electrical things, yet I wasn’t surprised at all at the outcome, since to me, all as the Suicide Cord was doing, was serving as a 'link' in a broken circuit. (if that makes any sense) Imagine you have a long piece of wire with a current running through it; you cut it, and so you have a gap. (power doesn’t travel through gaps) and so you simply add a piece of wire between the two ends! I really couldn’t see why anyone would expect anything to happen when you did this...

This obviously does not apply everywhere. NOT allowed in Chicago, for good reason. The insulator on the outside of NM also contributes to wire fill and increases potential for heat. Why anyone would be so lazy as to run NM through conduit is beyond me.

Rectorseal TRU BLU pipe sealant works. I don't use tape since I found TRU BLU.

Informative but very misleading. You have "ENTIRE HOUSE" this is a sub panel and you state only 10 circuits.

I must say I didn’t have the needle nose pliers but got that little sucker removed the hard way and now my shower pressure is amazing. Thank you sir ! Update: 10 mins into a high pressured shower and I was sentenced to 30 years for removing the flow restricter. Remove at your own risk.

When using the Pex A is the plastics Pex A fittings ok to use in a house? Or does it need to be brass? We live in a very cold climate and I was worried about the plastic fitting breaking.
