Thank you for sharing this video - it was detailed, helpful and one of the few videos I watched all the way through. My mother travelled with Scoot (SG-Amritsar) on biz-class as the cost difference was not a lot (considering it included seat selection, 1 meal and 1 bottle of water). My experience with Air Asia (SG-Malaysia) were not great because of the constant delays. Took SilkAir SG-Chiangmai (it was an awful experience from get go/I hear JetStar is better for flights from SG to Thailand so I may try them in future).

Hey Ezekiel, glad you found the video useful!
Curious to know what the business class experience on scoot was like.
I had similar, ups and downs with Air Asia, with a few flights being delayed; but the staff seemed a lot more courteous and friendly in some of the sectors. Also the seats themselves were a little more comfortable than on Scoot; hence my slight preference for it.
I've heard about JetStar, but I haven't been onboard yet, would love to get onboard a flight of theirs when I'm back in the Asia region!
      Thanks for watching! :)

Ah right on! Yes, Scoot was good. Can't say it was super memorable, but they delivered on all essentials for sure. Never been on SilkAir, but from what I understand, it was essentially Scoot before Scoot ha. Is the JFK to Singapore flight the super long direct flight?

We’ve flown Scoot numerous times. Not the most comfortable at 28” seat pitch, but our flights are mainly to Bangkok and Penang, so an hour or two is ok. We took long haul Scoot once (and will do so again in November) from Narita to Sing. Both times, we booked Scoot Business (or whatever they call it). Can’t take the cramped seat for 7 hours given I’m 6’2” tall. No IFE is a bummer, but an iPad will let me read and snooze the whole way.

We flew "business class" with Scoot from Singapore to Sydney. The plane looked really very very tired. Some seats looked like they have been there for 10 years. The plane a 787 was noisy and I don't know why. We flew a 787 from Melbourne to Ho Chi Min with Jetstar and it was a wonderful experience. Scoot was just terrible. My table would not fold open properly, the storage at the back of the seat in front of me was falling apart. The whole flight was a big let down. Nah no more Scoot for me.

I took Scoot 787 to Korea from Singapore and T'Way budget airline of korea because I missed my flight coming back to Singapore. So, I went to book a last minute flight on T'Way that same day that was bound for Singapore
Scoot seats were in a 3-3-3 seating configuration I was alone travelling and sat next to a couple legroom was ok but seats were very cramped I couldn't even put my arm on the arm rest for fear of touching my neighbour because I got the window seat. T'Way was a Airbus A330 with free usb charging port, Scoot had a 3 pin plug underneath their seats but for SGD $9 so I declined. T'Way seating configuration was a 2-4-2 configuration seating and I took the window seats because I love watching takeoff and landing. Thank you for this video. Scoot even wanted to charge me $3 SGD for a cup of water because I drank up all my water inside my bottle

Last month I flew Singapore Airlines from London to Davao (Philippines 🇵🇭), and I’d dare say YES Scoot is necessary-Because Scoot utilizes the Airbus a320.
From my trip, LHR-SIN was flown on the Airbus a380; and SIN-DVO via the Singapore Airlines’ Boeing 737-Max.
    And this is the problem:
    Boeing 737-Max
Singapore Airlines removed the “Max” on the name BUT if this 737 has the Chevron (those sawtooth things) on its engines, and that Max-wingtip, then that is the 737-Max.
My alternate for this trip could have been the Scoot-in fact I was booked for that flight but instead got bumped or transferred to the Singapore Airlines 737-Max.
    And
If you look at the flightradar-type websites, on April 29 at 1620H SQ906 had a missed approach and had to do a lot of circling before attempting its 2nd landing.
I flew a week later with Cebu Pacific (Airbus a320) on 11th May and there were no problems whatsoever.

    • @nsuresh91
      @nsuresh91  Před rokem +1

Interesting, how’s do you like the product on the SIA 737s? One of the reasons I’ll avoid emirates moving forward is because a lot of their eastern routes still use the 777, and although I love the 777, I really don’t like the hard product onboard the emirates 777. Does the SIA 737, onboard, still hold up to their other air crafts?
      Thanks for watching! :)

Scoot is the lower cost airline that is owned by Singapore AIr. So, of course, Singapore AIr...rated always among the top carriers in the world...will be nicer BUT, more expensive too!
Scoot is very reliable compared airlines like Cebu Pacific, Air Asia, yada, yada who seem to cancel around 50% of their flights and making u miss connections and/or events.
Scoot also has a 7 star safety rating...the highest number awarded.

@@nsuresh91 Just this past July and August, Air Asia cancelled my last three flights at the last minute. They offered few options to rebook and never on the day you expected to fly and make new connections.
Air Asia ticket counters in MNL and DVO were always complete madness. Lines taking hours...no exception for elderly, peeps in wheel chairs, etc.
When I did manage an Air Asia flight from MNL, we had to use umbrellas and walk about 1/4 mile out to board the jet while slogging through puddles in heavy rain. Then, climbing up the portable staircase was steep and slippery...in a word, hazardous. Once inside, the humidity and the aircraft's air con made it impossible to see your hand in front of your face...like dense fog. To make matters worse, there was a female child having a panic attack and yelling at the top of her lungs saying she wanted to get off. The cabin crew did not know what to do, even though everyone else was getting that way too. Meanwhile, the crew was doing safety instructions even though few could see them.
