i know air > armor but it is pretty frustrating playing even germany/ussr/usa and knowing the right thing to do is more or less never build tanks because the industry & research is better spent on fighters

AA is superior. Hardness plus air attack.
I’ve watched several hoi4 videos and I can say with complete honesty…… the navy is useless. It burns fuel and convoy raiding never feels like it works.

One of the first things I noticed in the division template was that they were 40 width
Probably the new player hasn't seen much tutorials on widths, but 40 is not as good is it used to be
Espiaccaly for Germany, because Yes they have manpower, but Not enough for 40with
To be fair I think it would hardly matter if the air power was anything more than Hans und die Jungs shooting their handguns from glider planes.

42 width tanks are the best now with the NSB changes.

Just for the record, 39 civilian factories is fewer factories than the Soviet Union starts with (45) and just barely more than France starts with (35). Germany itself starts with 32 civilian factories. You *don't* want to be going into 1942 with just 39 civs, lmao.
Dont forget he has also lost the majority of Germany and especially the Ruhr as west germany has more of the industry
@@thekommunistkrusader3921 Oh believe me, I'm well aware, lmao. It was one of the first things I noted when I saw the map, I thought "yeah, they probably lost at least two thirds of their industry there".

Downloaded the save and fixed it! Boy what a game (played till late 45, soviet cap, France cap, U-boat rule the waves(
I would've tried to lend lease anything i could from my allies and disband half of the troops on the eastern front (of course after going back to make the frontlines shorter)

In WW2 romania left the axis and joined the soviets the moment the red army reached their border. In WW1 they joined the entente after the brussilow offensive.
Romania should be known for switching sides just as much as italy considering they were also supposed to be part of the central powers in WW1.

This, especially as a newish player, is a lost cause. Learn from your mistakes, don't underestimate the AI and your air & navy that much and try again.
After watching bittersteel and then watching this. It just shows how horrible alex really is.

Why does nobody use the expeditionary forces when they're a faction leader? When I see some faction members with some troops around doing nothing I always think they can be useful at least as fodder to hold the line. Am I getting something wrong?
