My issue with the GWR devs is that they’re so hyper focused on realism to the point where the game isn’t fun anymore, they removed all the fun paths from the game (Third Rome ottomans, Soviet empire Russia) and they add content for countries that nobody wants

Yeah the Great War mods never really sit right with me. It's kinda like Kaiserreich for me. Where the Developers had something they really, really, really wanted to highlight. Which is fine, mods and passion and all. But it just ends up not fun. Like scripted peace deals and trying to heavily handed force events to go particular ways even if it contextually no longer makes sense. Like if the Schleiffen Plan actually worked and Germany still "loses" the war and gets nothing out of it because "Muh History" basically (An experience I had ages ago on the mod). Though I don't mind the New Era demobilization and economic stand down sort of thing. I get why some would, matter of taste. But it's fitting and it's nice to have so if someone does want to go the distance they don't have WW2 starting with everyone having thousands of factories and thousands of divisions standing around, etc.
