- San Diego by Carl Wayne of The Move sings live on The Golden Shot in 1974, and was also presented with a Tea set from ATV for his wedding the next day to actress Susan Hanson who played Miss Diane in Crossroads. Check out the exited audience members around 2.25 :-)
Apologies for some sound quality from the video tape recording

Aw Carl, oh you should've stayed with the Move!!! 😮😮😮 R I P man. One of the finest voices in rock😎
Oh! What an audience! Taken and brought to the studio from a Seniors Home
Now a cabaret singer appearing here on that infamous show now banned Golden Shot. The presenter was the 4th one to do this show.
Very much anti safety that show was.
Great song. I only remember the Billy J Kramer version but sadly that wasnt a hit either!
The shot of the audience is hilarious. They look bored stiff...shame because it's a good singer and song
Written by Tony Macaulay.
One of the best songwriters ever.
Iffy song, but the guy could really sing, this doesn't even seem to be mimed - good for him. The audience shot is excruciating - they all look bored ********.
This is what he was always meant to be, a nightclub singer. He never looked right in The Move. His voice was good but his image and stage mannerisms didn't suit the group.
His powerful voice was wasted on this stuff. 😔
The audience is full of old codgers
@@carylbarnett7448 Disagree. Tom Jones has a powerful voice and he sang this kind of stuff.
@@juanbbien What do you expect, teenyboppers dancing to songs like this?
@@CB-xr1eglisten/ watch him sing Your Beautiful Daughter with The Move or even Flowers In The Rain.
